Hi there. I've just ordered a set of fork springs to fit in my son's Oset 16 Racing. Apparently they fit in the left hand air fork of the rst forks. They are supposed to soften the ride as the standard forks are a very hard ride even with minimal air in. Was wondering if anyone has done this modification themselves. Do you need to remove any of the existing fork internals on the left side before fitting the springs and what order do the springs go in ? Do they just sit one on top of each other ? I'm more than happy stripping down trials bike forks but oset forks are MTB forks and seem very different.

Hi guys, is the 3" tyre sold by Oset still the only option, or is there a better / grippier alternative, same for the front as well?

My son is almost 3, and rides an oset 12.5, he's going really well on it. I want to get him some proper kit now, but he's quite small so struggling to find stuff small enough. He currently uses a bmx style helmet, but after a full face helmet? Can any of you recommended anywhere were I can buy the really small stuff? And can anyone recommend a decent helmet? Many thanks This is him .

Hi, I've installed a kelly controller onto my sons Oset 20 which is running a genuine oset lithium battery pack. I've followed the wiring diagram from kelly and also from an article by Mxoset on here. The controller powers on and I can configure it with the laptop but I'm not managing to get it working the motor. Any help/advice appreciated.

Can anyone shed some light on what the 3rd pin on the Oset charger does. I see there is no voltage on the charger when unplugged but once plugged in, there must be some comms over that 3rd pin that enables the charger output. Any ideas?

Hi everyone, we have a Oset 16 24v which my 9 year old girl and my 5 year old boy just love to ride,we have done the lipo conversion to it and makes it lighter and go for longer, My girl is out growing the bike ,but had a go on a friends Oset 20 thats the correct size for her and can ride no problem, she loved it , so looking around the last couple of months have seen the Mecatecno T14,looks a good design and lipos fitted as standard, not much info out there but hear they have good quality parts and well put together, also on the pictures i have seen looks like has real trials tyres, Has anyone got one,had a go on one,or even seen one, would like to hear any views on bo…

If the rear wheel is off the floor it will spin the rear wheel as soon as you put the rear wheel down it will cut out

I was hoping someone was still active on this Site and had some advice to help get my Grandsons bikes ready. The Oset website has little info and seems to be not updated. Can someone help find a online manual or print version for a 16r and 20r.? Specifically I'm looking for info regarding the three adjustments (what they control) located on the backbone of the frame. I also would like to understand the suspension adjustments on the forks as well. If there is a active Oset online community that I'm missing please point me in the right direction. Regards, NJtrials

I read this the other day. It has some interesting info about available upgrades that can be made to the bikes on Page 5. 2 days later my lad decided to ride off the edge of a large hump, coming down the steap side rather than the gentle slope he had ridden up. Despite me shouting BRAKES he went into a stone wall and managed to shorten the wheelbase by about an inch - oops! Fortunately no damage to son or bike apart from the forks. I called up osetbikes.co.uk and we discussed the options. 2 days later I got home from work to find a parcel in the garage (the joys of living out in the sticks) containing a set of the RST upgrade forks and a 600lb spring to replace the …

Hello everyone. My boy has had his oset 16 since he was 3 and rides it well. We went to take it out the other day and noticed no power, quickly located to the fuse carrier had a loose connection but on reinstalling everything I snapped one of the potentiometers for the speed, I have installed a new one and it all tests out fine ie 20k ohms for full turn and 0 ohms when in the lowest position. The potentiometer seems to work fine but will only allow 13v output to the motor not the full 36v it should be. Does anyone have any ideas or have experienced the same issues? Many thanks

Hi can anyone help me to understand which bearings would fit the rear of a circa 2010 Oset 16 24v. The rear bearings have just fallen out and they were the semi encased push bike type ones - shot to pieces now. Fell out when i replaced the sprocket and chain. But i would like to know if the current size bearings for a 16 would fit or does anyone know a hack or suitable replacement for the 24v 16. Keen to get the bike running again. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer

Hi all, just though i'd say hello. I've been looking around for a bike for my youngest son (he will be 4 in May) and spotted these! I believe Martin Sandiford would be my nearest seller in Ramsbottom. I must pay him a visit. £700 is a lot of outlay for a 'i hope he gets the bike bug'. I love the idea that you can take them almost anywhere though. Many thanks... Pete

If anyone is considering fitting any guards , I can recommend carbon fibre items from KELLEY CARBON . All hand made in the UK . NOT the cheap ABS plastic that cracks and shatters just looking at it !
