OSET Electric Trials Bikes

Hi everyone, we have a Oset 16 24v which my 9 year old girl and my 5 year old boy just love to ride,we have done the lipo conversion to it and makes it lighter and go for longer, My girl is out growing the bike ,but had a go on a friends Oset 20 thats the correct size for her and can ride no problem,she loved it , so looking around the last couple of months have seen the Mecatecno T14,looks a good design and lipos fitted as standard,not much info out there but hear they have good quality parts and well put together,also on the pictures i have seen looks like has real trials tyres, Has anyone got one,had a go on one,or even seen one, would like to hear any views on bo…

Hi everyone, I'm new here. I have owned my 24R since June. Now that its getting dark earlier now I need light. Have any of you installed any light on your bike.

I put this here rather than in the trials gear section due to it aimed more towards oset sized children. I've took the plunge and ordered a 12.5 oset, will take delivery in a week and a half.. But now the hard part in sourcing the kit to protect him. I need to find a trials helmet small enough to fit on my 25 month old son's head. He is quite big for his age I would say, although I've yet to look at his bike helmet size I just want to know what helmets you guys use and the smallest fitting? My local dealer stocks wulf sport, and their smallest size is 54cm.. I think that may be a little too big, is there any smaller sizes such as xxs? As for armour, would you recome…

Since its been raining we have been running low pressures in my boy's Oset 20 to try and get better grip. Problem is from time to time he manages to rip the valve out with the tyre spinning on the rim. Anyone have any solutions for running low pressures and stopping the tyre spinning? Would also be good to know if anyone can recommend a thicker inner tube to prevent pinch flats. Any ideas?

Hi Has anyone else had this problem with their Oset? My Son was riding in a trial when the bike stopped, Red indicator light showed 3 Reds,Dropping to 1 when any throttle was applied.Further investigation revealed that the chain had come off, I refitted the chain to the rear sprocket but noticed that their was approx 25 mm of play in the chain at mid position. I adjusted out the play to 1-2 mm as per manual,This was a very big adjustment on the rear wheel, I am used to making slight adjustment that are required to eliminate the chain touching the plastic chain guard. Upon turning the throttle the Red light dropped to 1 with only a slight Forward movement of the Bike.…

Hi See attached pics from the recent strip down of my little ones OSET it was cheap due to being left in the rain being uncared for by its first owner. Hi folks. my daughters oset 20 lite has started switching off when you open the throttle. If you switch the kill switch off then back on again the power comes back on until you try and open the throttle again. If the rear wheel is off the floor it will spin the rear wheel as soon as you put the rear wheel down it will cut out

HI Has anyone installed a LIPO battery upgrade. There is a company called boost bikes or boost batteries on ebay that are selling them. Does anyone have any knowledge of them, they look perfect for the job. Bit of background first my son is 8 and has been riding autos since he was about 3. A few months back we got a 2018 oset 20r which has a boost bikes Lipo battery. Trouble is we are finding it REALLY hard to get to grips with the bike, I've ridden it myself and can see where he's coming from. I know it's not a petrol bike so it will be different but I will try to explain the problem... Its all to do with the throttle control and how the power surges very quickly with no build up whatsoever. Hi guru's. Last weekend the motor started making a kind of grumble/snatchy noise once the motor had gotten hot. Switch it off, Have a cuppa, let it cool and all fine again. The bike is just over 18 months old and still running same bearings so I figured it was time to swap them. I have removed the Motor, pulled the sprocket off. Removed the drive side casing and then with lots of swearing and clever use of welding gloves and an inner tube, removed the housing. My problem is that now can't seem to remove the non drive side casing to access the other bearing. How do I remove this side?. I can see the brushes in place and the (stator plate?).. I can see down to the bearing, …

Remove all Advertisements Hi, I have an Oset 16 spider 2007/2008 year electric trials bike for my nephew.A friend got it new and I got it for my nephews I dug it out the other day to get it fixed up for him as he is now at that age. It has a couple of broken wires and I can't seem to find a wiring diagram for it. I have emailed Oset to try and buy one but have had no reply as yet . hi i wanted to no if its possible to fit a oset 36v 900w 20.0 lite motor into the oset 16.0 eco? im sure i can upgrade to the 16.0 racing motor but thats only 50watts more. i just thought id check with the 20.0 lite motor being 36v same as the 16s that maybe it could be done. the standed 16 eco is 750w the racings 800w and the 20.0 lites 900w and all 3 are 36v and use 3 battries also could any one tell me what are the best batteries to go with? any advise welcome. kind regards

Hope some experienced help can be had. New to Oset and little electric knowledge, bought a 2015 16R (I think) yesterday and was told the original batteries are in it. The serial number on the frame is 16R4I114 but have been unable to confirm what this is. The charger appears to be original supplied 36W and has three parallel batteries. 2011 oset 16 36V it's looking like the chain is rubbing one of the motor mount bolts. Chain doesn't feel overly loose, not sure what else to check. Anyone any suggestions? Thanks.
