Hi there, I've been practicing since May when I got my first ever bike, I've done about 5 proper club practice days at different venues, usually can do some bits of some beginner sections but I am gradually getting better. I'd really like to have at least one go at a proper trial this year, there's one coming up as a fundraiser locally badged as being a bit on the easy side and it has a beginner section. Does it matter if I get stuck and need help to get the bike out of a section ? I go a lot slower than everyone else between sections unlikely to finish the full 4 laps ! have to prop myself up on a tree to start the bike again all opinions valued !! thanks

Had my first ever run on Saturday, and great thanks to Derek Ramsey who was kind enough to take me out, show me a place to practice, and also teach me some basics. Much appreciated! Great fun, and a bl88dy good challenge, just what I was after. A few aches and pains after a couple of hours on the bike, but I was only doing some basic stuff. I'm used to a road bike, where I'm looking well ahead and using peripheral vision for road surface changes closer to me, etc, and also looking where I want to go which is the best advice I was ever given for the road. In general in Trials where should I look - at where I want to go, or in difficult situations where the front wheel is…

Just started to get the movement of hopping the front end. I use my knees, rear brake, bend forward, compress the forks and straighten knees on the rebound while slightly pulling one side of the handle bars up. This works fairly well, the frnt gets to move, but not very high. I was told to use the front brake before compressing the forks....I have tried this and it messes me all up...is this the correct technique I should be trying to do or just keep with what works for me...kind of new here, so I want to be on the right path. Thanks Tman427 Sherco 2.5

Hi everyone!... Long story short, Ive been riding biketrials since i was a teenager and stunting sportbikes for 7 years, I have the trials motorbike itch installed in my mind since i knew about its existence. Planets have aligned and im waiting for a Beta EVO 300 2013 as my first real trials motorbike... I have no natural spots to ride here, its all plain-soft ground all around 400kms... So.... Ill have to make my own obstacles... It would help me a lot if you guys could describe, list or post pics of MUST HAVE obstacle to make my learning process as efficient, fun and safe as possible... I have access to pallets, cable drums of all sizes, drums, and used tyres of a…

i have been doing about half an hour a day, just on my balance but with the engine off, my progress was really slow, i could manage about 5 seconds at the very best until i read through some of the posts and over night i can now do over one minuet, i couldn't believe how much easier it is bye letting air out of my tyres and standing in the correct way, tomorrow i am going to start learning to balance after coming to a stand still with the engine running, is their any other tips that you could share with me, that could make it easier or is it just the same as doing it without the engine running and plenty of practice.
