Evening All Recently bought a 2005 Gas Gas txt 250 pro.After a few rides about on it I’ve encountered some issues. It starts and runs fine but when it’s anyway warm and the engine stops it will , under no circumstances start again. At first I thought it was a coil pack , I replaced it with a new one and the issue is still there unfortunately. I fear it may be the stator at fault . It’s worth noting it’s using a Kokusan stator. Anybody on here had anything similar issues , any help or pointers will be genuinely appreciated. Thanks all Regards Pat Mc

Hi all live got a 2003 gas gas 280 , I’ve had the clutch replaced when I had the crank case bearing done about two weeks ago at a trial at the weekend after about a hour the clutch was slipping in all gears , the oil has no contamination , I have noticed that the clutch piston has some Oil seeping out and the oil is turning a black colour could this leak be what the slipping is ie not enough pressure to release it’s a formula clutch and have been told these are not good and to get a ajp mineral one as this is what should have been on it regards Michael

Eventually had my 280 running at the weekend but realised the fan wasn’t kicking in. Tested the fan on a 12v supply all good. Looking at a wiring diagram, the yellow supply should come up to then thermo switch and then to the rectifier to supply the fan via the red and blue plug. The yellow supply on mine was straight into the rectifier and then out via the other yellow to the thermo switch and then earthed the other side. Is this correct or has been botched previously. I don’t seem to have a green earth either on the fan plug as in the diagrams. I’ve just purchased another rectifier as the wires were hanging by a thread on mine but it’s the same as in the pic.

looking for some advice im rebuilding a water pump on my gasgas txt pro 07 and with the waterpump kit I’ve received 2 circular springs. One is already fitted to the one side of the inside seal and one was on nothing, The only place I can think this extra spring goes is in the little circle space on the other side of mentioned seal.. am I correct or is it just a spare spring?

I finally found out why my 1992 Gas Gas GT25 Contact trials bike had no spark and this is what I did to fix it. First I bought a new spark plug and tested it, still no spark. I unhooked the kill switch thinking it may be shorted out somewhere, nope still no spark. I took the coil off and tested it with a Multimeter and the coil tested ok but the spark plug boot was all over the place on the multimeter so I replaced the boot with a new one. Still no spark at plug, but I'm getting hopeful. I had help from this web site and my earlier post from Lineaway, Lemur and Tr1al who told me to go to thehellteam.com. Ive got a weepy clutch MC which is mineral oil. Question is can I fit a DOT type MC or do I need to stick to mineral? What is the reason for using mineral oil over DOT fluid?

Had a bike seize up and I’m having trouble finding parts. I’d prefer not shipping over seas but if it comes to that it’s fine. I need a cylinder/ jug, cylinder head and a piston to match. The bikes a 2018 gas gas txt contact. Also if anyone knows what the “pro” is I’ve seen after the title for these bikes. I’ve seen some parts for them wondering if I could get those, though to my knowledge it’s not a pro

Quick question regarding draining the oil after my water pump seal failed on my 2004 Gas Gas TXT Pro 125. I've replaced all the water pump components with a new kit (shaft seal, impeller, circlip etc) and wanted to ask about draining the sump. Obviously there was water ingress into the oil so my question is how do I go about ensuring I have gotten all the water out of the sump?

I bought a new 1992 Gas Gas GT25 Contact with the hydraulic clutch back in 1993. I still have that bike and I have been fixing it up to sell. After all the work I did I found out it has no spark. I put a new plug in it and disconnected the kill switch, still no spark. There is a picture below of my coil and electrical components without the gas tank on. I'm not sure where the black kill switch wire goes to. It goes from the handlebar to a green clip type plastic box. This box plugs into a second half of another box. See the attached picture. Hi there, as an inexperienced trials bike owner I'd like to ask for some help. I have a gasgas jtr 160 1993 that needs a new Kick start lever. I have seen second hand ones online but they all look really well used and possibly worse (looser) than my current one. My question is! Are there any other kickstart levers that will fit a 1993 gasgas jtr160. It has the smaller original spline (not 16mm) any help would really be appreciated

Hi, I'm currently looking at a bargain basement TX 250 which I believe to be a 1998 model based on what I can find online. I am looking for a project bike as opposed to something ready to go and this one may seem to fit the bill. It is currently missing it's rear brake master cylinder. I'd like to check how the TX differs from the later and far more common TXT for parts such as this, and other consumables such as discs, pads, fork seals etc. Would I struggle to find the right parts or were Gas Gas kind enough to not change too much over the years? Evening all. The rebuild continues on my dad's 2002 txt 200. I got it with bits all over the place and am now wondering on the correct locations for stuff like CDI, voltage regulator, coil pack etc. The space between fan, bottom of tank and spark plug is pretty tight so seems it all needs to go in a certain way. Anyone have photos of their set up? Ta!

Okay, first thing is that I'm not new to 2 stroke motorcycles. I'm 59 years old and have been around 2 stroke dirt bikes since 1973 was my first mini bike. I've owned several bikes over the years. KX 250 CR 250 CR 500 YZ 250 and a Montesa 250 trials bike. So the bike was delivered 2 months ago and pushed into my garage. I haven't had a chance to ride it because of recovering from surgery. just after some advice from fellow Gas Gas owners. i've picked up a 2021 txt 280. really enjoying the bike, but the power does feel pretty sharp which is taking some getting used to. (previous bike was a Jotagas 300 which was like a tractor) i've ridden it totally standard for the last couple of months, but in a sloppy wet trial on the weekend , i felt like i was struggling for grip in places where i usually wouldn't have with the jotagas. still getting used to the bike/tires etc, so not bashing the bike, i love it. just want some opinions on if fitting a fly wheel weight would calm it down a bit on the power delivery ? also, if fitting a weight , wi…

Any manufacturers making aftermarket parts for the 2023 TXT bikes yet? It would be nice to have an alternative option to GasGas parts for things like pegs and mudguards (yes, it breaks).

On my other bikes I use Twin Air and Hilfo, do you know the product number? I need spare for my txt 300 2022
