Gas Gas

Hi all, Doing a refresh on a 2010 I picked up last year. The decals are sort of mishmash and a few scratches. I figured it wouldn't hurt to pick up a new set of decals. I'm seeing '09 and '11 on ebay. Would they both fit or no? I'm not too sure how the plastics have changed over the years.

Can someone please give me some advice. When I start riding the bike with the clutch free play set correctly all is well. But after a bit of riding I need to lessen the free play, the clutch is engaging too early, I turn the free play adjuster in. I have bled the clutch a few times and all is well. The clutch is newly fitted two months ago (9.7 mm of plates) I don't understand how the free play can change while riding.... Thank you Gary

  4. It always used to be (I understood) that the 10th character of the frame number was the year of the bike However I have a 2021 (First registration, declared new) where the 10th character is 'M' (2013) and a friend has the letter ' 'H' 2008 but the bike is registerd as 2017. Anybody shed any light on any of this please? Did they have a glut of frames that they are still using up?

Hi folks, Trying to fix an old JT 250. Any idea why the clutch wont seem to disengage, even with a new set of clutch plates? Clutch pressure plate seems to be lifting when the clutch is pulled. How much in mm should it be lifting? Is it possible that cold sticking plates could be locking together? Or is there anything else that could be broken and causing the lock? Thanks Alan

  6. Hello, my bike runs great and is easily started when cold.... however it is very temperamental when up to temp. Sometimes it will start second kick but quite often I might get a small backfire And then it takes alot of kicks and energy to finally get it to fire.... I have a photo from a few hours riding on a new plug, it would suggest to me the carb is a little rich... could this be my issue? If so what do people suggest adjusting... Thanks in advance Gary

  7. Can anyone tell me the correct part number for the braktec mineral oil clutch master cylinder rebuild kit for a 2014 TXT 280 Pro. I was told that certain years took a special kit?

Hi, I have just bought a 2005 Gas Gas TXT 250 pro, returning to trials after many years off. I'm not sure if this is a fault or an adjustment but I can left the rear end over an inch (25-30mm ish) before the rear shock engages and starts to extend. The adjustment on the shock is wound down so there is only about 50mm left. The swinging arm doesn't seem to have any play. What should I be looking for. All previous bikes have been twin shock.

Hi All, Long story short, I have a 2021 250 TXT Racing and a 2003 TXT 250 Edition so friends can come out to play now and then. Obviously the new bike is lighter and I understand the factory spec to be 64kg I have been unable to find any data on the Edition, which I understand was a discounted model using older engines before the launch of the new TXT range in 2003 Does anybody happen to know what it weighs, please? Happily, it is still competitive at entry level and starts first kick, which is more than can be said for the 2021 bike, unfortunately! Thanks and happy riding.

  16. There’s a bike for sale advertised as a “GasGas 198cc trials bike” 2012 model. I can’t trace any information on such a bike. Is this an error in the advert? thanks in hope.

Hi guys, have an issue, I have snapped every bracket on my exhaust today, it has been welded multiple times by the previous owner. it’s an early 2010 model so shares the same exhaust as 08 and 09. Not the later 2010 model. Any ideas where I may get one from? thanks
