Well after a series of c0ck ups with powder coating colours and out of production factory decal kits it seems the facelift on my bike is very nearly complete. Here are a few pics of the FUTURE kit ... available from H&D Racing ... a bit different to the usual green but I'm loving it. The pics on the site don't do it justice and I was swithering before going for it so hopefully this will help someone else make a decision. Quality is great as is fit and cheap enough too

Anyone out there coming from a GasGas (or Beta for that matter) curious what differences are noticeable. Stability, grip, turning, power, typically reliability issues. These bikes remind me most of a GasGas. I'm wondering if they have the same light feel and neutral ergonomics, is the head angle overly steep (tendency to tuck) Read a lot on here where they grip well, one rider said pegs felt high compared to other bikes. Let's hear it!

i have wanted a new sherco for quite a while now but recently the ossa as caught my eye, i am hoping to buy a new bike in around a months time, it looks very easy to clean and i quite like the idea of the easy start, i can't afford a new one but i have seen 2012-13 in my price range so i was hoping for some honest answers on the good and the bad points, things like are spares easy to get hold of and are the spares a reasonable price, are they easy to maintain, is there well known problems that you know of.

Hi, can anyone recommend how to remove the wheel bearings on my 1975 mar? I made the mistake of painting the hubs before I realised that they needed renewing I usually use a hammer and brass drift but before I attack them I was wondering if there was an easier way. Also what gauge are the spoke nipples? The spokes have polished up alright but the nipples are a bit mankey so I thought that I`d replace them. Cheers, Nigel.

Did Ossa have a mid year graphics change? I have seen two '12s for sale with '13 graphics. Both bike are like new with no time on them. Neither bike has the white marzzochi forks on them. If they did have a change, is that also when the new style air cleaner was added. I saw a previous thread that said the very first '12 didn't have the air cleaner update.

Hi....again, can anyone tell me how to measure the offset of the wheels on (off) my 1975/6 Ossa mar? Or what the offset is. I`ve decided to give it a go myself, wheel building that is. The tyres are now off and the nipples are soaked in WD40, might give them a while before trying to undo them as I`d prefer to re-use them. The rims might take a while to clean up, looks like they`ve never been cleaned from new!! The hubs will be repainted along with the brake plates then new linings will be fitted, and bearings. Cheers all, Nigel.

At a recent event my bike got knocked over and it bent the crap out of the mounting plate of the side stand. Can someone shoot me a close-up picture of theirs so I know how to bend it back into place? thanks

I was wondering if anyone could tell me the torque setting for the cylinder head nuts on my 1975/6 MAR. Also is the paint on the hubs satin or gloss black? And.....does anyone know if the rear shock decal (BETOR) is available anywhere? Many thanks in advance, Nigel.

Ok, I broke one of the 'Dogbones' in my rear linkage. It is the new type with a bolt. After a lot of thinking, it probably was my fault. I think when I lubed it last time there was still silicone grease in the threads. So the locktite couldn't hold- the bolt backed out and must have jammed against the swingarm, breaking the shaft. The too much for one side still left when I hopped over something. Anyway, the dealer ordered the part, but OSSA sent the wrong one! There appears to be a mixup with the part numbers in the manual. So...does anyone know where one may be? They are going to try and get one, but I'm looking also. Please let me know. Mark

I have purchased a bike listed as an OSSA MAR 250 1975 Documents confirm this. Engine number also correct - M222.... However, frame number is B241... which appears to be for a MAR 350. Any thoughts ??

Seem to have developed a leak on my clutch master, fluid seems to be leaking from around the sight glass. Anyone else experienced this and any suggestions on a fix? I am not sure if they are a press fit or if there is a O ring or are they just glued in

Can anyone tell me if all the MAR 350 models came with the white/green stripe color scheme or did some come in all green with yellow writing? I thought they were all white but I'm usually wrong.

Tearing down a 76 MAR and having trouble getting the threaded ring that holds the head pipe to the cylinder off. I've sprayed it with penetrating oil then hit it with a punch and hammer...no go. Assume it's a right hand thread but didn't want to bash on it too much in case it isn't. Not only does the threaded ring seem to be seized in the barrel, the pipe itself is loose. Perhaps there's a gasket missing or long since blown out? Heat and cool it with a propane torch maybe would loosen it up? Any tips out there?
