  1. Congratulations Boofont, pass on our commiserations to your new bride
  2. Quick update, deflated the tyres till they looked about right with her stood on it. Rear was 1.5 and the front was 2.5 pounds...
  3. Just had Pete from Raptor Racing deliver the footpegs by hand - he said he was passing anyway but I'm still impressed with the service? They are unbelievably light and very 'bling' Quality looks excellent with very neat welds. Let's see if they can pass the 'kinell test' this weekend Oh, he also said that they will be producing titanium hangers for the 06 Beta in the next couple of weeks...
  4. Well that's going to put some people straight off. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oz WR might be fun...
  5. I've had the official 'nod' - so, I should be ok for 1 (maybe 2) WR's as long as they are in Europe
  6. Did the price include P&P ?? <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
  7. Sod it, I've ordered them anyway... I'm not sure about other bikes but on the Beta, the brackets slot in on either side of the frame and are held in place with 2 bolts. I bend these fairly regularly too I think the last pair I bought were about

    New Bike

    Bugger! beat me to it
  9. The standard Beta pegs don't last long with me using them to try and split rocks every weekend. I've also gone through 4 or 5 sets of Hebo pegs in the last couple of years. Has anybody tried any of these? http://www.raptorracing.biz/index.html
  10. Must have been a 1 legged horse on Sunday then, finished 2nd and only dropped 17
  11. Just found these on the SSDT website that must have been uploaded recently http://www.ssdt.org/2005/web/2005.htm A few of my favourite ones Goggles away... http://www.ssdt.org/2005/web/IMG_5828.jpg Determined not to dab http://www.ssdt.org/2005/web/IMG_5766.jpg Bit grim up North http://www.ssdt.org/2005/web/IMG_5755.jpg Is it deep? http://www.ssdt.org/2005/web/IMG_5769.jpg Miles from anywhere, what's he thinking? http://www.ssdt.org/2005/web/IMG_5768.jpg
  12. Just 1 pound? Wow! I'll get her to stand on the bike whilst letting the air out until it looks 'normal' - soft but not flat, then check the pressures with a tyre gauge. We have been going to the local playing fields, which is probably the size of 3 full size football pitches. The grass is mowed regularly and 2/3rds of it is nice and flat with some gentle slopes on the other 1/3rd. Two weeks ago she started standing up on the bike and I could see that she was trying to ride as slow as possible - she soon got bored with riding around so I got her to do figure of 8's using the goalposts... Last week, we made approx 30 red and blue section flags to spice things up a bit. We went to the usual place and I let her get warmed up on the bike whilst I marked out a wide but twisty section. I was going to walk it with her and explain 'the line' but she rode it and cleaned it as I was sticking the end flags in! She really surprised me over the next hour or so, the sections got narrower and twistier with various combinations of camber turns, uphill & downhill slopes etc. She managed to clean everything, even when I started chucking coats and jumpers in her path and telling her to ride round them and stay within the flags! Best bit of the day was when she said "I love my bike but not as much as I love mi Dad"
  13. No need for name calling (I must send those regs off!)
  14. Cheers, I'll try lowering them the next time out. She has started standing up on the bike now - better balance than her old Dad What's on next week?
  15. It was dry and sunny at the last trial I was at. I set off with 3 in the back and 5 in the front. No problems with grip all day, checking the tyres after the trial showed 4.2 in the back and 6.5 in the front! (same tyre gauge). I usually set off with 4 and 6 and sometimes struggle, obviously the tyres warming up and increasing the pressure makes more difference than I thought Does anyone have any tyre presssure suggestions for a 4-5 stone (70 pounds'ish) kid on a Beta Minitrial rev'n'go 50cc? Thanks
  16. Just found this: - http://www.spa-francorchamps-other.be/accueil.html I'll bet a tenner that Andy doesn't walk down to sections 7 to 12 http://www.spa-francorchamps-other.be/parcours.html
  17. Steve Saunders at http://www.trialschool.com/ James Lampkin at http://www.jimlampkin.com/ Bike hire shouldn't be a problem with either of the above.
  18. Oh deer Get well soon John (email me your home address (for Sharpy))

    Slipping Clutch

Rocking back and forth in a high gear also helps to prime the engine for easier starting in cold, damp, miserable weather (parc ferme in FW)
  20. I'll have a tenner on him going back to Beta
  21. We didn't do too bad to say we only had 3cm run up
  22. Looks like I'll have to change my avatar piccy... Kinky Boots got higher up that step (before crashing)
