  1. Flights into Girona are perfect on the Friday, with some trial riding for a few days afterwards, the only downside is 1000 euro deposit on car hire.
  2. Has anyone been to the Trial GP at Camprodon ?? How close is it to the town ? What are the costs of entry ? Is there stalls at Parc ferme ? How far apart are the sections ??

    Stolen Betas

cctv cameras have never stopped a single thing getting stolen.
  4. They made it quite clear it was in regards their new enduro bikes, which they have done so.
  5. Brilliant, bike issues aside obviously. I think we've all been there looking at a first section and thinking we've bitten off more than we can chew, most intimidating but usually it's not, stick in.
  6. My take is this. I'm a rubbish trials rider but I've had a reiger on my factory GG and had an Ohlins on my 2010 sherco. I couldn't notice a single bit of difference with the Ohlins on the sherco but thought the reiger was ace on the GG compared to my r16v 2017 sherco.....hope that makes sense. What I've found over the years riding road bikes and trackdays etc is ohlins make varying levels of suspension and in my opinion live of their name cause it's a world leader and it's shiney and bright, If it were me, unless you are getting top of the range Ohlins, go with reiger as the ohlins is just bling, granted, bright shiney bling
  7. Said it for years, it's a cock waving exorcise clubman riders on 300s and before anyone says about me having a 300, I wanted a 250 but there were none left Try telling anyone new to the sport that a 125 will do everything they need is like talking to the wall, I got a similar look when chatting to two guys up watching our trial last week and they were keen to start, however, I'd agree with what was said earlier, after a while most would wish to progress to a 250 soon enough.
  8. That's fantastic however, doesn't quite compare to an off camber tight up hill turn in between flags over rough ground, so not the same comparisons.
  9. Modern day 300s are far more rideable for a novice than the older 290s, I have a 300 now and rode plenty 290s in the past, they weren't a patch on the smoothness of the newer 300s
  10. If it's as good as you say, then buy it. I wouldn't say it's a newbie friendly bike, they can be a bit of a handful but if it's a steal it can be tamed down. To counter that, a decent 125 will do everything on any clubman section in the country.
  11. I buy my trials bikes on looks and colour, shallow, very shallow but no matter how poor a rider I am or how dirty the bike looks after a trial, I've got to like the look of it not what etc rider is on.
  12. Does anyone know how often if at all the provisional dates for the 2018 WTC are changed from what is already down ???
  13. Putting the state of the sections aside, the rider condition deteriorates also through the course of a trial, 4 laps of tough terrain fair takes it's toll physically and mentally, which in turn means the rider often isn't as alert/fresh as he was in the first lap of so.
  14. What is this award stuff are they giving out prizes at these trials, like a hamper or t-shirts or something next you'll be telling us every dab has to be punched and not just the 5s.
  15. Seems I'm limited to picture uploads but I have 5 different two stroke oils here....i use them all in equal volume.
  16. Here's a wee secret for ya, see the top bottle, I've been using is at every trial since February, guess what happened when I used it again at a trial today on my bike ??? .....yep....nothing, same as every other time since then.
  17. Ahh...the great two stroke oil debate Put in either, I'm no expert but I'd suggest there is minimal difference between both those oils, and certainly not any difference that you nor I would notice. How many folk do you know have blown their trials bikes up regardless of what two stroke oil they've used ?? No I've never known anyone either, crack on as you were.
  18. Interesting topic, missed this earlier. My new 17 300 was perfect til I had an off, immediately it needed adjusted, rode the rest of the trial fine then didn't use it for about a month, then like the OP, couldn't get it to work with stalling and jumping forward, checked the level, nothing. Bled clutch with new oil and it's fine, still nae idea where the fluid went when I had my off though.

    Scorpa SY125f

Well take no notice of that vid, he's clearly a rubbish rider with that soft one he had Oh the dozens and dozens of bikes I've owned over the years be in road or off road bikes, the 175f I had is the one bike more than any that I've sold on I wished I hadn't, couldn't ride it for toffee in a trial but what a brilliant bike for playing around on. It's still being ridden fairly local to me, I almost cried when I seen it at a recent two day trial.
  20. It's a rubbish freak show anyway.
  21. Do you think it's a situation mainly at higher level trials/riders or across the board ?? I rarely ride observed trials, lucky if I do 4 or 5 a year but have never witnessed it myself other than an observer swearing at me at the first round of the Scottish championship this year
  22. err.....eh ? Stopping is a 5 is it not, regardless of how many feet you have down or not....
