airbox shouldnt make much if any difference, but not sure about the back box, are we talking goin from standard sape silencer to those wierd sherco ones there is now? because if so that could alter the amount of back pressure you have and do all sorts to your bike.
could make it run better, could make it like a catapult, or could make it really sluggish, just not sure on that one.

hard course everywhere
here is where PERCE is unlikely to answer as he should do the hard course bet classes himself as a professional middle course rider, rarely out of top 3 on middle course
-
thanks for all your input

are we going to get a report on the action on day two at duluth, like we have had with all the other rounds?
how was it, was it pretty much one sided?
or was it a close battle between the top 5 or 6?
where does that leave the series standings?
-
14 if you count hopping onto the rock, and the hop he does just after leaving the rock

have not seen one myself but am sure it will be a sweet little bike, the std GG 125 sure is.
-
i'm not sure about what experiences you guys have had with bikes flat out for 10 secs but i have seen a piston come through the barrel after less that five secs full throttle. if i were you farmerj then i would get it apart before next riding it just to make sure, there is no point in taking chances with however many hundreds of pounds it would be to fix should it all go horribly wrong
-
i dont know whether or not you have had a go on any of the 125's but i would say it is well worth it. the sy125f is a cracking little bike, but i wouldnt go making any descisions without looking at all of the possibilities. dont overlook the likes of the gas gas and the sherco, they are both great light bikes with plentiful power for a 125, or how about the beta, a little heavier than the gas gas or the sherco, but certainly sturdy enough.
however, if you are 17 i would not suggest a 125, if you have only fairly recently started you will find that stepping back to a 125 will greatly hinder your progress. at 17 i would expect that within a couple of years, if you keep pushing yourself, then you will begin to ride up to the standard of the hard course, where a 125 just wont cut it for you.

it is great to know the solution to this problem, but it begs the question.
Why does it have these problems in the first place?
We all know thatSherco havent been on the go THAT long, but surely by now they should have learnt to check all of these things, admittedly we cant expect the world of them like we can with the likes of Montesa being backed by Honda and all, but something as simple as this should not have been overlooked by a factory hoping to produce a bike that will realisticly compete with the Montesa.

hi. just clearing out some old folders and found that dougie lampkin slide show of the WTC 2003, and was wondering whether or not one would be made this year.

-
actually you will find that fajardo achieved 12th position in japan on day 1, and was probably knackered for day 2 and didnt make it into the top 15.
BUT WHO CAN BLAME THE POOR LAD!?!?!
he hasn't exactly had it easy has he
-
not so sure, raga never has seemed to perform ouside of europe, but i agree cabestani will take one if not both the days.
-
i know it is possible as i have seen many done before, wether or not it is simply a case of fitting the mudgard and airbox, or the whole subframe, i am not sure, however i do know that the airbox off a 250 doesnt fit properly and you end up with a kink in your rubber tube from the airbox to the carb, this restricts the airflow and reduces performance dramatically.
-
No, there is nothing to worry about, Indoor style sections are great for out door trials, if you have ever been to an outdoor WTC then you will see, they are easy-access-for-all sections, that really light up the trial for a spectator. yea we all love the big natural stuff, and that will always remain.
but the man made stuff is always one of two things,
its the stuff that decides the winner when the venues natural surroundings cant provide sections to sort out the men from the boys,
or it is something for all when all of the natural sections are absolutely awsom, and rarely see cleans (well, as rare as possible for these lads!!)

luvvin the custom paint-job.
who did it for ya nd how much, i want one on mine!!!
-
not sure where ur from, but in north east england (especially north yorkshire) many people call the same types of incident a 'marty'.
as this is the guy that never just falls off, he always makes it spectacular, BUT NEVER GETS HURT!!!
-
mine was between sections actually, coming out of some woods in the yout c/d national in kent, what i didnt know was that the gras was damp and slippery like ice, as i ditched the bike i wrapped my knee around the bar an did ligaments in it, my dad made me finish the remaining two laps of the trial (i came 9th ) and wated untill we got back up home (darlington) untill i was able to go to the hospital, by which time my knee looked like a melon.
-
what do the new sherco 4t's run like? i have just come off a mont 4rt and loved that, although it could be a bugger to kick over, and oiled plugs up like nobodies business
-
was up there for kinlochleven and we had a good long look at that very section, can tell you one thing for sure, them there rocks are damn slippy
-
there is a lad up our way in the north east who is riding a sherco with 4t honda engide adapted into it
-
maybe you should check spark plug, its probably not dirty, but u may have a faulty one, i had problems starting mine and foun out it was the plug.
failing that check the breather pipe, it may be that the fuel is simply in a vacuum and not reaching the engine.

what we have done befre with our gassers is to put a little bit af sponge in the bottom of the air box, where the drainage hole it, this stops the majoritoty of the water and mud etc. getting in, and still lets any water already in it drain away.
i know a person who rode the whole of the ssdt without needing to clean his air filter because of this little bit of sponge. it should come as standard!!!
