I personally welcome the web site based forum suggestion. It is far better than a series of cancelled meetings. I really hope this gets a go ahead from the T&E committee, even if it is just for a 'trial' period.

I have to say I tried a Sherco 4t and it really seemed to suit me, it rode really well. I didn't get on with the Montesa at all, however I was 'scared off' by the tales of poor starting and must admit I couldn't re-start the one I tried, once it stalled.

Cirencester fun enduro is a laugh. Set off in fours at minute intervals. Complete a number of special tests over three laps in the morning, then ride the same course without the special tests for six laps in the afternoon. I think it is organised by the Swindon club.

We were so keen to get out and try the bike that we just rode it as it came from the dealers. A carb strip, new plug and gearbox oil are on the cards for next weekend. Thanks for the info, any advice is welcome, especially things we need to do whilst it is apart this week.

Thanks for that tip. We've just got back from a decent practice and it seems to grip really well although it suffered from a number of stalls, despite the tick over being set quite high.... is this a common problem when first trying a Raga?

My friend has just bought a tidy '04 Raga. It looks very much as original, he was wondering if there are any common problems or modifications which could or should be done to improve it? Much of the terrain on which we ride is slippy wet 'off cambered' mud and roots, so power is not going to be an issue. Any personal experiences or info appreciated.

The final entry list is now out of the OK Supreme LDT on 24th September. There is an impressive 109 riders entered, first man away from Blackwell village Hall near Shipston on Stourwill be at 9.01 with the rest starting at 1 min intervals.

In my opinion, the sport is a better place for the likes of Rossi. The post race antics generally endear him to the fans. He doesn't just go into a well rehearsed PR speech mentioning his sponsors. He admits when he has been beaten by a better man and doesn't blame 'anything other than himself' for not winning. Unlike the equally talented Schmacher, I really do admire Rossi and I for one hope he takes the championship.

The points gap is now down to 21 between Rossi and Hayden, is Rossi close enough to take another World title? Or could Pedrossa find his lost form and do it? My money would be on Rossi but it's going to be one hell of a scrap now.

They do look very expensive but if you check out their bidding history, they have a lot of happy customers for all kinds of trials items and a very good feedback score. Remember that ebay can be a good place to advertise your product, many people will go and look at a larger more expensive item prior to bidding then buy it off line. The high starting bid may simply be there to stop time wasters bidding

This is a subject which has been debated at length many times before. I agree that the ACU should be trying to promote youth riders into the top level of the sport and that the ACU themselves are the natural people to be trying to generate sponsorship. However, the ACU should not be spending large amounts of cash running big trucks etc (A point which always seems to be mentioned in these debates) Remember, it is money generated by the rank and file members of the ACU which would be being spent. How would a big truck for Joe Bloggs in the WTC help the riders in a local club? If this sponsorship which people keep talking about is there for the taking, wht don't they go and get it? Anyone can approach a company with a proposal for backing in return for certain promotional opportunities.

As the General Secretary and Clerk of the Course for an ACU trials club running three National, one Centre and up to six club trials per year, I accept that I should have made the effort to have attended the Forum and not putting my name forward was a mistake. I regret not doing so and with hind sight wish that I had. At the time it was too convenient for me to find an excuse not to attend (what that excuse was doesn't matter, we can all do that when it suits us to), expecting others to raise the points of which I am interested. Should another forum be arranged I would like to attend, I would also like to participate in an 'On line' forum should it be set up Personally I am am happy with the way trials are run in general. However, I do have relevant issues that I would like to bring up either for consideration, clarification or just general debate. Certanly not a 'Fanatic' wishing to impose his view. Merely a trials enthusiast working with others to improve OUR sport.

Can you imagine the time and effort that has gone into this bike? It must have taken hundreds of hours of work,..... to end up with that!!!

It'll be a wasted oportunity if they do! Even if it is to say "We told you it wouldn't work!" I really hope this goes ahead, it can do no harm but might just do some good.

It definately is workable. The only question is whether it would achieve anything positive. And as I've said before; anythings is better than yet another cancelled meeting at ACU house!

That would be a reason (if not an excuse) if he had not gone through with the sale, but to take your money and not send the goods there is no excuse for.
