    315 bottom end

Hi Paul, ive got an old junker bottom end gathering dust, which has got really rough mains in it, The crank seems fine, with hardly any play, But i am really tempted to have a go at spliting it. i know that the crfs a 4stroke, just thought id gain a bit of under standing from one of their manuals which are ten a penny, I know there will be cost with clutch/crank pullers + splitters, And i know commen sence is screeming at me saying, (just pay some one) but im the keen tinker type,,, cheers clay

    montesa love

What about that fiddly little oil filler that allways oozes oil when you try to top her up,,, mines also suffering from main bearing failure, so you get a fantastic tingeling vibration feed back would not swap it for the world

    carb cleaning

Hi bud, check out the how to vids on (trials uk) but i just jot down all the mixture screw lengths by turning the screws in and couting how many turns it takes till they seat all the way in, but dont over do it,,, then when you replace them you know exactly, that they are in the same place as before then i just remove all screws filters floats and blast out with brake+clutch cleaner, then blast out with an air line just take your time, and jot the setting down, cheers clay

Cheers bud, (filter free for me then)
  22. Fantastic, more, more, more,,,,,,
  23. Just wondering if other 315 ridders used an in line fuel filter before the carb? as mine came with one on, yet my mate, does not use one, and just relies on the filter in the carb, Mine really gets in the way of the choke, and is a real nightmare for space when removing the tank and putting it back onn Cheers clay
