I'm sorry Zippy but come the day when that big fella says ''I need your clothes your boots and your motorcycle'' he's only getting the first two, I'll put up a fight for the last one

That's not snow, it's a hoare frost, I would still go in the pool for a giggle.
-
Yes, as others have said before me; it was a better trail bike tha a trials bike.....and two.
-
Did you see him change gear on the back wheel at the very end of that clip???
-
MERRY CHRISTMAS people...cheers Cope, O liked the John Lennon vid
-
Cheers, 30 twin/30 mono sounds like you're having a great time there.

That Jason Finn VHS is very good, apart from him being a cockney git of course...In keeping with the 'It's the rider not the bike theme' you might want to look at Takumi Narita's Beta Techno videos on youtube.

I owned two bikes at the same time:
Me and my brother rode together; The Montesa Cota 242 twin shock, air cooled (aluminium swing arm?) and '94 water-cooled mono Gas Gas jt? 250, so I could back to back test every section. I couldn't get the Mont off the ground and I couldn't keep the Gasser on the ground
After a days riding, trying to put the Mont onto the back of a pick-up without a ramp was a bugger compared to the Gasser.
I can only find a spec weight of about 207lbs for the KT and an Evo weight claim of 150lbs. Can you tell us how you got the weight down on the Kwaka? Trick ali parts?

As soon as someone faceplants or smashes their teeth i stop watching.

As others have hinted; riding a twin shock at the easy course level may be straightforward but getting between the sections will be much easier if you have a modern lightweight bike.
Decisions, decisions?
-
Yay, and can you do it reverse ways round?
-
I always thought my Montesa 242 was a piece of p|55 to ride sections if you left it in 2nd gear and being a lazy b4r5t4rd I really appreciated the seat, the trouble started when I needed to use the clutch as it was solid. You can't easily move those heavy twin shockers around so I changed to a modern water-cooled mono with a nice light hydraulic clutch and lighter 'everything' else.
Regarding your medical condition, do you aim to ride a twin shock only because of the seat? If so I would look to a 200cc modern trials iron and rig up a seat to suit, that's got to be the easiest option?IMHO

Name dropper time:
I now totally forgive Brian May for swearing at me and blaming me because his books fell from his airport trolley...I never touched them your honour.

Detox that carb' first...then;
Consider:
Temperature induced resistance in the stator coil, when it cools after 15mins it'll fire up as if nothing was wrong? It happened to me ,I hope it's not happening to you; it was very difficult to diagnose the problem, I had to switch components with a mates bike to pin-point it (after I had checked all the simple things first !).
-
Way less than 33.
16 BHP is my best guess

Correctamundo Andy, she was a nurse and her ambulance took a direct hit in an air raid...as for him, I think the Lanc? crash smashed his face in and he suffered all his life from the experimental attempts at dental reconstruction. I don't begrudge the guy his views on the Nazis (I can only attempt to imagine what Patrick and his like had to go through), I just reckon he needed to give the next generation of Germans a break...easy for me to say.

What a character, obtuse, belligerent, eccentric...and those were just his good bits. One of the few people who've met Neil Armstrong,Yuri Gagarin, Albert Einstein and Orville Wright. He will stick in my mind for his RAF service, the only survivor of his crashed Lanc (?) . He had a pathological hatred of the Nazis, so he was alright by me.
-
Pay a bit extra for good seats if you can, I got some of the cheap seats on the bend, what a mess I was.
-
I don't see any tire tracks? Is it photoshopped
-
Giza chance...are you stalking me?
If anyone else uses photobucket; I can only get the photo to come up on TC if I use the 'direct link' code?
-
I were teken peepee, hoping that some of you Gaspeople would assist this lad's topic
WARNING:
Watch out when posting details of your trials bikes, there are young thieves out there, two of them road off on my last Gasser
