Thanks for the straight answer PA.
As for getting your sport into the olympics? That establishment is as shady and underhand as the Sepp Blatter club, sorry,FIFA.
E.G.
A general rule of thumb for an olympic event is:
''.....The sport must be practiced by men in at least 75 countries and four continents, and by women in at least 40 countries and three continents.
The sport in question must have a governing International Federation in order for the IOC to officially recognize them as a sport.
The governing body has to then file an application to become a demonstration sport. After that, the sport may file another application to officially become a fully recognised Olympic sport......''
It needs to be a sporting spectacle which generates mass appeal and inspire future 'viewer participation' !?
There are two rival factions of the martial art Taekwondo (think--watered down version of kick boxing) ; World Taekwondo Federation (WTF? yes ,really) and International Taekwondo Federation (ITF).
ITF was the founding Taekwondo martial art and is the most popular martial art to be practised on the planet.
ITF rules state that you are allowed to punch to the face but WTF rules state that you're not allowed to do so. If you're only reliant on kicking any sparring becomes a long range affair with fewer exchanges.
ITF is therefore is the more rounded combat sport.
So consequently a sparring match between two WTF practitioners looks like a version of river-dance Irish dancing but without the music .
So with a bit of back door networking guess which organisation represents Taekwondo at the olympics?...What The F***?
WTF..a bit of kissing involved.
Can you spot the difference?Sorry, but it's 2m 46seconds of your life that you won't get back

Don't spend on the pads just yet...boil them in water see if the oil/grease floats out?
-
Tis done...c'mon people,it's just a click or two !
-
That's probably nothing compared to the costs involved with those three day event horses?
-
Yeah,so?
Who hasn't done that?
-
What's the point?
Toni would just turn up and say; 'I wonder who's gonna get silver?'
-
Naah, not for me Copey, this is the only rush track I can bear:
Anyway,back to Sharon
-
Ahh,righty ho.
You can see how some people (me) create an opinion of a product from using the bottom of the range goods, like someone else on TC says; ''You buy cheap, you buy twice.

I can't recommend the domino grips I used some years ago, they were hard, shiny and consequently gave very poor grip for my hands/gloves.I think they came as a kit if you ordered a throttle tube assembly?
They didn't have the knurled effect pattern around their full circumference so I couldn't see how they were supposed to be any good if they were deliberately designed that way?
This all lead to very bad arm pump.
Hebo mid compound (grey?) for me.

I bet you could really improve your lines and keep dabs to a minimum with all that ordnance lying around there !
..and no matter how bored/p155ed you get do not bet with the locals and play 'pat the piniped'.
-
I have currently got a Vee on the back of mine and it's poor (sidewalls too stiff) ,the worn Mich that I took off gripped better.
As for Pirellis----they're only any good in the snow.

To paraphrase Jordi Tarrres in his latest interview:
''I don't understand the fascination for old trials bikes, why have an old wife/girlfriend when you can have a younger, better one?''
P.S. I had a 2001 280 Gasser,it was a very potent ride and seemed to be a lot more reliable than the Pros that followed it.

Okeedokee ,HAM2 logic time:
What is the density of the coolant/water mixture versus the density of the transmission oil used?
That'll tell you what floats or sinks..maybe?

Christ ,no,,I didn't care for the original either
-
Get it sorted, the Pro main bearings are lubed by that (emulsified) transmission oil.
-
That sounds like a great idea but that door looks narrow, bars off and pegs up to turn it (90degrees)as soon as you get in?
Although you could always rack it on the roof if you remember to use a suitable kicker to get it up there?
The other post may be right about venting ,it could stink the place out.

Modern trials bikes need to be light.
Have you felt the weight of a steel manifold on modern trials bike?
Then you realise why modern bikes use single wall exhausts.
-
Welcome Smee Hee,
Trials bikes are about the most fun you can have with your clothes on but it's not as easy as other motorcycle sport despite how it looks.Remember to thank your mate at work.

Site under construction...I can't see 1/2 of that site so I'm not surprised that you can't download anything from it at the moment.
-
I've only ridden one once and it was a good few years ago so wait and see if someone else with a more recent experience chimes in a confirms/opposes my opinion of the bike.
Plus points (for me);
It was a comfortable, adjustable riding position.
Decent suspension
..and that's about it.
Negatives;
Hard to start (could have just been me).
Rides top heavy (very strange for a trials bike?).
Developed it's power quite high up the rev range (for a 4st).
Feels a bit wooden/heavy overall?
Something 'not quite right' about the gearing ( sorry to be so flakey,I'm not a real bike test journalist)
I couldn't really see the advantages over an SY 2stroke.
Yet, I rode a Montesa 4rt after that and it was saaweeet

The Ministry of Stating the Bleedin Obvious.
If the recommended torque values and thread sizes are OK then surely it can only be the bolt bottoming out?

Wahey,as if by magic,the new 2013 models are announced with a ' new design K-S' ,
