  1. Mine have been comfy from day one..so just like others have said, wear 'em.
  2. When I saw this photo I immediately thought ''I wish Copey would f**k off posting these type of pics cos it reminds me that I'm not getting a holiday until 2013'' ....then I saw the next photo :wall: . My honeymoon was in Sand Key,Clearwater (bit of a 'pensioner-town' compared to the rest of the state) just up from Madiera:WARNING: Don't rent a jet-bike from the Welsh(b45t4rd ) there (remember me telling you about the cyl'head gasket curse I have).Don't get me wrong, the Gulf of Mexico is a beautiful place just..not when your craft has quit,is smoking,is drifting into the shipping lane and it's getting dark People took the pee-pee for years after cos an episode of the comedy 'Only Fools and Horses' had a similar plot.
  3. Keep your X-Box,buy a trials game for it

    Beta 420 4t ?

That's quite a lot of leverage exerted on the frame where the foot-peg bracket bolts on ..pick your line through those rocks very, very carefully now
  5. ??That's a 2 in 5 accuracy rating for your own post....Doh !

    2001 315R Bars

Yup,even though I like the 315 bikes I couldn't get away with the 'angled-back' clamps on the later bikes (2000-2004?). My '98 was much more comfortable to ride.
  7. I can't know this for sure and I'm not playing devils advocate for the manufacturer but I would be surprised if any new trials bike was run for more than 5mins prior to going to its first customer. (In my limited experience):- The problem with a stator is sometimes related to the hall effect sensor which checks the position of the crank and triggers the ignition pulses accordingly. If it fails, it seems that it performs very strangely (when it gets hot) and causes all manner of problems from mis-firing to; retarding the ignition to; failing to spark at all. I can't understand its failure rate in a modern trials bike because, after all, it's a solid state component??? Can anyone comment with more technical savvy?
  8. So the incline 'thing' was a red herring? I had a bike with the symptoms you describe (let's forget the 'cuts out on the slope' bit),it was the stator.
  9. Fuji 5'6''? Raga 5'7''?
  10. That's my previous bike and my previous house so, yeah..you've got a point Just be grateful that I've got some clothes on Wayne
  11. I wasn't ready for that...I had prepped my single brain-cell for something very technical
  12. Since it's a new bike I think it's more likely to be swarf or foreign object blockage from the factory. Regarding your fuel supply, blow everything out with an airline, carb jets, fuel line, breathers etc.. I can understand your frustration with the incline bogging so set up a little procedure at home using a wall as your 'test' incline...start the bike and prop it front high (both brakes on)get a mate to help prod / waggle/adjust when you hear the engine struggle on the slope:-
  13. ??.......if it doesn't make the bike run any cleaner than a carb' what is the point of spending all that money on FI??
  14. ...Howld on,stop the bus! I thought these things wouldn't need clearing out if they didn't have a carb'?...what's the point of fuel injection if you still have to clear it's throat ?
  15. Thanks GJ....to both of you That's the problem with schizophrenia... you're always the last to find out Or a bigger worry; was it your doppelgänger?
  16. Yes, I thought that too,it really looks the part; right down to the fake air-box(battery-box?). It seems like someone's been paying close attention to the aesthetics,I think the manufacturer's realised that it must look like a current, (pun ) modern, contemporary, trials bike product. What's the old saying in engineering: 'If it looks right then it is right'?
  17. I 've got microsoft Word but that document is blank when I open it...a bit like me?
  18. 'Lil' bit of grinding paste and lap it on but don't go at it too long as I think there has to be a slight difference in the male and female tapers. When you nip it up with the torque wrench that last turn is what binds the interference fit. IMHO
  19. Usually a great combination :- Ridley Scott plus Sci-Fi.... http://www.prometheus-movie.com/
  20. Yes,this is not the Al Qaeda/underpants forum
  21. (Barry White voice over required) You've got to take your time with your ride ,use lots of thought and consideration to get her prepared for action first ,don't just drag her around then pounce on her. When the time is ready;Let your hands do the work at first, just feel your way around with your fingers (so you can do it without looking down ) ... turning the fuel tap ,I mean Don't worry you aren't the first to go home early because you couldn't keep your spark
  22. Liked it,just the sort of p1551ng about that I do...and that music took me back a few years
  23. Ow do Lordii, You'll get more response if you post this query in the dark under-world called; the Beta forum. Mr. Moderator, work your magic..... Wayne
