Moved to Beta, I'll still be here to offer any advice though!
  3. Run it on reserve, can't see the point of running it on on. Running it on on could cause a 5 or worse a crash. Benefits? You know you're running low on fuel, well, the trials I ride that would make no differance as you're in the middle of nowhere so it's not like you can nip back and get soem fuel! I would still investigate though.
  4. Which loctite number you using though, there's loads of them! 243 etc. I found the tripple clamp bolts where lose, this caused the forks to twis and bend the fork brace that the front guard rivits to. These bolts coming loose could cause a real injury, imagine droping off a rock and the forks moving yp the clamps! I plan to loctite them in, along with all the others and then witness mark them. That way I know if they've moved with out using tools and then breaking any loctite. Even thought about wirelocking where poss.
  5. What strength Loctite are you using? Did you do all the bolts, which ones sre really bad?
  6. The fuel was left on, I know everyone is going to say just turn it off but the bottom line is that a bike should not leak fuel from the crab like that. I won't go in to the loose bolts everywhere! Bike rides well so hopefully after I've spent some time in the garage I can grow to like it.
  7. Just to add a bit to this post. I picked up my New Rev 3 on friday, thought all was well saturday, cme to the bike sunday and found it was leaking fuel big time. So the carbs are still the same!

What do you suggest? As long as it's for charity I might consider something. Anyone else interested?
  9. I agree the queues were ok. You had a good section, think I cleaned it twice and took a one twice? Can't remember which lap was which. If I'd have know who was who I'd of stopped and chatted. Can't see myself making the trip too often though, took 7 hours to get home!
  10. If the Probike you're talking about is the Probike in Inverness then it shut some weeks ago. You'll not be getting them for

Expansion chamber? Do you mean silencer? The silencer changed from the 02 to the 03 if that's what you mean. As for bring it up closer to a TYZ, I had a TYZ and it never ran any where near as good as my SY, pretty flat in some respects compared to the SY. Mind you, that might have been due to the weight differance.
  12. And I was the guy on the brand new 07 Beta covered in bodge tape that you offered a re-ride to after a guy got in the way just before the top step.

Whats your name? See theres a guy called Brian Curran riding... Mug! See you there! 2005 SSDT; Scorpa's: 17 2007 SSDT; Scorpa's: 44!
  14. You should see some of the courses some folk have made and filmed, apparently they're all over youtube! You can link to them from that site.
  15. Love playing Linerider! Its crap yet so good!
  16. I can recomend the Sony HD players. They use there own format as well as mp3, it compress better than mp3. The only reason Apple beat Sony with HD players (after Sony invented the walkman) is that SOny thought mini-disc would be the next big thing... How wrong! I'd say there better that ipods now. Easier use anyway.
  17. Can't believe anyone is arguing on this! When did anyone win a trial by wheelieing? A definition of a trial can be found on Inverness clubs website here. The question was "Has The Practice Of Wheelie's Have A Place In Trial's." It doesn't, unless you call a wheelie lifting the front. Sure, they're great for demos, trick riding etc but if someone is going to do a poll on the subject then what
  18. And we all ride these don't we...? I stand by my statement, wheelieing has no place in a trial. Lifting the front momentarily does. I agree that there is occasions when making the front light and floating it round can help but I suspect that's more than a wheelie. A wheelie as I see it is a sustained ride on the back wheel that is controlled by the throttle and if needed the back brake. Most riders can lift the front, some can hold it for a time before the revs run out, others can hold it by shifting up, the best can do it by finding the balance point. That's a wheelie, as I see it popping the front to clear an obstacle is just that, popping the front.
  19. Picking some bikes up from Lampkins on Friday 15th, staying in Sheffield somewhere with a pals parents. Riding the trial to get more out of the trip. Hope to consume a few beers too!
  20. Can't make that. Bearing in mind where I live it's not like I can 'pop down'. I live about 40 miles to the east of Inverness.
  21. Lifting the front is important but there is no place for a sustained wheelie in trials. Sorry, but that's a fact.
