  1. If MX tyres were any good then they'd be used, and they're not!
  2. Used The Deal Negotiator, got what I was after (Golf GT Sport TDI 140ps) for 17,060, list price is 18,887. Buying from a genuine VW dealer. My local dealer couldn't get below 18K!
  3. Same for me but if you right click then you can open in new window/tab.
  4. Looking for a new car, a VW. Anyone used one of these car supermarket style retailers with success? I may not buy from one but it may help if I go to VW and say "look, I can buy a new Golf for
  5. Don't think superglue will work as it needs moisture to set, the moisture makes up one part of a two part reaction, the other part being the glue. It will take an age to set as it tries to draw moisture from the atomsphere. As it sets it will form a skin, this skin will stop the glue from during the moistrue it needs to continue the setting process. Araldite would be better as the two parts needed for the reaction are mixed before hand.
  6. Just sold this, got a baby on the way and there's not enough room in my life for the two of them!
  7. I'm going to stick my neck on the line with this one, how many of us give a 5 (like we should) at a no stop trial when we see a good rider stopped and balancing or maybe front wheel stopped (therefore no forward motion) hopping the back? I know I should but would I? Maybe not, and therein lies the problem. When is a stop a "stop"? Is it after 0.1 of second? Maybe 0.5? what about 5 seconds? I'm in favour of no stop but I feel the 5 is often not given when it should because many that observe feel intimidated by a good rider who may have 5'd through his or her choice to stop rather than an unintentional 5.
  8. Tyre beader, no brainer! It'll last a life time and you can use a foot pump to put a tyre on, I know, I've done it!
  9. This is so true. Only recently for example did the UK forces get the standard 20 mins a week phone call upgraded to 30... It now equals the same as a prisoner! The council tax thing is an insult when our American cousins don't pay any tax when they're away from home. I remember one trip away I did, staying in tents for two months in Oman with no air con etc. The only water we had at the camp site was bottled that was left in a stacked pallet in the sun. To add insult to injury the EFI (combat Spar shop that the Brits have to pay through the nose to buy stuff) stocked cock all of any thing nice or useful but did have a stunning range of big profit perfume and after shave. Like you really need that on a huge camp site full of blokes in the middle of a desert! My view having been there? Bring us home! Either that or look after us!

    Pink Oil?

It'll be ATF for sure, I use it and had no problems. Find it better than anything else I've tried.
  11. Interesting to know, does anyone know if this still happens?
  12. Most people that can do wheelies can do them sitting down - No problem. Why do you want to mod your bike just for wheelies? Buy a Supermoto!
  13. I use a some software called Goldwave, is not free but with a bit of digging you may be able to find something to help you on the net. Try this site too, Hitsquad.
  14. There was loads of them, all Gassers look poorly maintained to me!
  15. Looking to ride the Peterborough Trials Club trial at Ketton this Sunday, is there anyone on here that rides with them that'll be there? I'm a friendly chap and I don't like to ride on my own
  16. As far I know, and I'm no doctor, the main cause of cramp is de-hydration. Therefore, drinking lots of water is essential. Not many people know but to be properly hydrated you should be peeing clear. So first of all, hydrate. Then, as has been said before, loosen the gloves so that the blood can run free and unrestricted around the arms and hands. Lever position is also essential, try to have them at such an angle that when you are riding you finger, hand, wrist and arm are straight and in-line when you are pulling them. Also, move the levers in so that you pull on the tip, this will allow you to pull the levers with less effort. Finally, all the training aids will help but only if you sort out the first three issues. These tips should solve your problem, if none of this works you may have a more serious problem and should maybe see a doctor.
  17. Had to change a grip at the SSDT after day 1, I used brake cleaner and rode all week with no problems. Never used wire and never had a grip twist or move. I usually use evostick as its a rubber safe glue and is cheap. One tube will last a lifetime of sticking grips.
  18. Its tong in cheek, having met him I can say he is one of the nicest guy's around.
  19. Anychance of a link to said videos please? Thanks.
  20. As has been said, front bolts first, loose. Then use mole grips to lift the rear uptowards the frame. I used to use two pairs, do one side a little then a bit moe on the other, tighter still on the first etc. Then add a bolt when you can and remove one of the grips, repeat on the other side.
  21. Thanks. Is there anyone out there that could get one sent to them to bring to the UK? I'm more than happy to pay all costs etc.
  22. Will you look anything like this?
  23. HLS have got some but not Moose ones, the ones they've got are not really what I'm after.
