  1. I did get out and ride mine yesterday, but did not get any action shots.I did get one of my friend of 47 years standing by it.He is the one that got me into riding and let me abuse his TL125 learning how to ride.
  2. Nice job Robbie, the sherpa t looks great ! Larry is most definitely quite the craftsman and all round great guy.
  3. It doesn,t look like Tripp is short on balance or nerve! Nice photos from everyone. I,m going to finally get out and ride tomorrow with my good friend who got me into dirt bikes about 43 years ago.Just a play/practice day set up by the trials club on another friends beautiful 85 acres.I will try and get some good pics to post.
  4. Yes,more pics are always good BR. Very nice looking bike Stuart! I really like the green and the view in that last pic is beautiful.
  5. Good post from everyone.Glad to read that you have all made it through and are still riding. One thing I can add from experience with my Father. If you ever have any kind of warning signs that something might not be right in the years to come, do not hesitate to get to the Doc and see what,s going on.
  6. Thanks for the update.Let us know how the seals work out and if she fires.I think I,m going to look for a set of ice tires for the Ossa to play on this wnter.
  7. Robbie you have done an nice job on the sherpa t - looks great! Larry,is that a stock tank and decals on the A ? If so they are in remarkable condition.
  8. Thanks for the comments on the Pursang.I bought it in 1998 for 300.00,went through it and have been racing it ever since as family and work permits. It has been extremely reliable and the handling has saved me more than once! Tailie, you do very nice work- looks good. Larry, glad to see that you have a good project to have a reason to be out in the shop. Not a bad looking bike and I,m sure it will be running like a top when it leaves OK Bultaco. I have off this coming Friday so I,m going to take the Sherpa T out to the nearest riding area, about an hour and fifteen away, and get some practise in. Everyone take care and keep the rubber side down
  9. I,ve had trouble logging in so I haven,t been able to post for a while.I,m not too sure how I got it to work this time so while I,m here I will post a couple of pics. I know it,s not a trials bike but it is a Bul and what I did was go race it a couple of weeks ago.I brought the Ossa along for a back up and to ride in practice just to get it out.
  10. I have managed to get a little clutch work done and put on a few trick bits that Larry made for my tank and shock mounts. With Larrys help I now have the clutch working pretty good.I did happen to notice that the 199a mag cover does flex out a wee bit when pulling the clutch lever. So seeing that and the fact that it,s a pretty rare piece over here I,ve decided to fit an old style cover. That way when I smash it I will not have ruined a really hard to find piece and the old style cover is stouter and does not flex.I had to cut down the kickstart boss and still have a wee bit of filing to do.
  11. Thanks for the tip johnjsy.I can,t really hurt it so I will try that in the near future.
  12. Just a couple of pics to show that it really does run.I guess I wouldn,t really call them action shots because I,m just riding around the backyard to see how everything is working.Still a wee bit of clutch drag, but much better than before.
  13. Graham,I have to admit that I feel a bit stupid. The tank had two holes in it when I bought it and I just assumed it had maybe been mounted on a different bike and never thought about the pipe clearance. It has been mounted through the top hole and the tank looks fine so I,m not sure about the second hole. My newly refurbished rear motor mount arrived today along with some trick shock bolt washers and tank bolt, thank you Larry.I was able to get the motor mount in and it works great, but that's as far as I got tonight and didn,t get any pics.Hopefully more tomorrow. Cheers,Scott
  14. I only have one good front rubber mount for my fuel tank so I decided to see if I could find a substitute at the local hardware store. This is the best I could come up with.I guess it,s maybe a bit hoky, but I think it might work.
  15. bondy,I forgot that I had this in the toolbox, you are right,it works pretty good! Lorenzo,so you,re the one hording all of the good stuff! LOL.I am curious, are do you have the bikes to go with all of those engines? It is good to see that many intact and waiting a rebuid instead of being parted out.
  16. bondy,I talked with Larry the other day on a good clutch set-up and yes I will be using the Barnetts Thank you and everyone else for the heads up on how well they work. Scott
  17. Thanks for posting that Martin.I,m going to try that on mine after I get some new clutch plates in.
  18. Well I,m back on line for now. It hasn,t stayed logged in when I go to forums so I wasn,t able to post.It still isn,t working when I use my desktop, but did this time with my laptop butwouldn,t work on either yesterday???? Anyway, the motor mount Larry is working on is for my 199A.I will let him better explain what all was wrong with it, apparently from the factory. There may have been a little more clearance if you take into account of the frame pulling in when everything is tight.I had homemade shims that came out to about 0.125in. but it would still bind up when everything was pulled tight. Good post from everyone!
  19. Larry, that is a beautiful bike, very nice work!
  20. The kickstand looks good bondy. The one on my A model is a straight one and I think I,m going to use an idea that I saw on another post and make a curved one from an old handlebar. I guess if I had a choice I,d go with the square B model swingarm, just looks better IMO. Cheers, Scott P.S. Forgot to add,the 198A turned out really nice!
  21. Nice post and pics everyone.I,m hoping this thread will help put some good how to ideas out there like these opost did and I just like to see what eveyone is riding. Saw Miller,Larry does darn nice work. Those are the kind of little details that really make a bike.I will have to post a pic of my kickstart rubber tomorrow. It,s functional but not near as nice. bondy,I hope you post pics of that bike in red as it,s coming along and when finished.Your bikes always end up looking superb.Where did you get that bashplate? I like the way it protects the mag cover. Larry,I,m going to get after the ignition wire cover this weekend. Thanks for the idea. About the only thing I have to post are my Ace Hardware steering stops.
  22. Just thought I,d try to start a new thread where people could show what they have been working on to keep these great bikes alive and well or even improved. I,ve been working on my brothers bike and had troubles with the rear motor mount that I posted in another thread. The repair job that Larry (lbhbul) did to the motor mount has it in and the swingarm tight with nice free movement.I had to make a mudflap for the new airbox and was nervous about drilling holes for it and for the rubber boot to carb mounting plate. I haven,t been able to work on it too much, but here is whats been done so far with hopefully more progress this weekend.
