  1. I had my firts spectator today but he thought I rode like k@p so just strolled on by.
  2. Howdy guys I had a great ride today after a 6 hour gamedrive. Im a bit buggered now but I had that good feeling when I hit the kill switch for the last time. A buddy was watching and took the vid so I had some inspiration to try a little harder. I got 4 more telephone poles and used 2 to make a ramp but im not sure what to do with the other 2? This vid is a truer representation of how I ride, nothing fancy and also no cutting out bloopers, just a short ride and a start stop on the cells video camera, no cutting or editing at all.
  3. Hi Rob214 Ive known Katie for 10 years, we go waaaay back. Shes been through hell and back and is still a trooper, never passing up a cold one My pops had a ride today, well chuffed with the old man. He did some fig 8s in the garden and just had a play. Weve been warned that our next trial this sunday is tougher getting from section to section compared to riding a section. Its held in magaliesburg were they hold our nationals and is apparently the meca of trials spots in my country. Hence the excitement.
  4. What I think. Rev3 07 has different spacers. Guessing, if in incorrectly, will press disk up against caliper.
  5. Hey bud, you typing like youve had some hops Hows your course doing? Where those pics you promissed
  6. After your explosion, I certainly wont be cutting any.
  7. Might sound daft but place a marker on the ground, a old magazine will do, and practice weeling the front and placing it accurately, braking and stopping with the front on the mag. You can do a few mags and weelie front from one to the other. Im a begginer, but this should help as placing the front accurately is quite important for allot of other techniques.
  8. HOPS?........Dont mind if I do (and Katie of course) .........Cheers boyz! Mr N, I am able to ride along my bigger log quite easily so what I now do is ride up my smaler tire then onto and along 2 Bruno busting drums () and onto my concrete basin and hop off. Ill have to post a vid of that next. Im doing a whole day game drive tomorrow but will try get a ride and vid in at 4pm.
  9. Also with extra ground clearance for over vertical manoeuvres......
  10. Nice. I wonder if you first fill the drum with water and then empty it before you cut, if that will push the fumes out and make it not go kaboom. Not sure ???
  11. You gotta tell us what you did now to bust all of that ???
  12. I rearranged my logs today. Nothing fancy buy its teaching me a bit of control and to be a little more precise. Im still a bit wobbly on the balancing. This was the better attempt and it took a few goes. Im definately spending more time on the pegs now that im just messing arround and having a bit more fun.
  13. Yip. Dont bother with a Dr, there is nothing he can do for bust ribs except give you pain killers. I cant remember but it does take ages until you can sit up, laugh, caugh, fart in peace.
  14. Now a technical question for you guys........... A tough one to answer i know, but do you guys try to keep the speed up or do things as slow and precise as possible? eg: i have 2 big logs spaced out so the bike would stand on top of them, frt on second log, back on first log. I started out trying to get over both by placing the front on the first, pausing, then doing a weelie over it and hoping the back over the first and landing with the front on the second, pausing, then weeling over the second. This way works but my timing and break control had to be perfect and i failed it more that cleared it. Technique 2: weelied over both of them with more throttle and more aggression and just did the loose legs thing to allow the back to ride over the first and then the second. I was more successful, more often doing it this way. So do you attack obstacles with more aggression or slow and precise?
  15. Like most things..........they are more fun to ride when they are clean . Well thats my opinion.
  16. Im also curious Mr N..........you mobile yet?
  17. Hi rob Twice a year? Im pedantic about air filters. I live in a very dust enviroment and if I ride for more than 3 days, my airfilter looks like a well used coffee filter. I give my bike a thorough wash once a week. Clean filter every second day. Use a general spray lube (q20) to lube chain, rear break lever, both leavers and kick start (just in case). Still figuring out how often to do oil.

    Bucket Of Bolts!

Hi guys I have a 07 Rev3 270 and my pops has a 13 Evo 300. My bike sounds like a bucket of bolts at idle, kinda like my KDX did when it was new. My dads evo is super quiet and smooth sounding. Are the rev3's noisier than the newer evos? (engine noise not exhaust note) I did Dans clutch mod so get a bit of chatter but appart from that, the engine is still noisy compared to the evo. I unfortunately am not able to listen to or ride another rev3 to compare. My bike runs well but i suffer from that sickness that causes me to look for problems.
  19. Hi Bruno. Its certainly not a dirty air filter, I clean mine every 2 days. Plug is a month old. My bike was very lean due to a partialy blocked pilot jet. I compensated by moving the c clip down to richen the mixture. After that I figured out about the blocked pilot and cleaned it making the mixture even richer so now I have to slowly lean her out and find the sweet spot. Ps: you will see when your bike arrives, trials bikes have tiny air filters and need to be cleaned after every outing.
  20. Checked my plug last night and it indicates my bikes running rich. Going to drop the needle by a notch, then I guess ill have to play again to see how she goes
  21. Thanks for the info. The atf thats in at the moment has been in for about a month. I ride 4/5 times a week but for short periods, about a hour a day. My plan is to change once a month with the cheap stuff.
  22. Mr N, I can only hop semi reliably to the left and only semi reliably swing the back to the right......so for sharp left hand turns, im semi OK. To the right, I suck but keep practicing my rights.
  23. Im using super cheap dextron 3 atf because its available everywhere and is super cheap. Its a mineral atf. The top guys here in sa use dextron 6 atf that they say lasts about 6 months riding twice a week. The dex 3 I use, they recon should be changed once a month. Dex 6 handles heat better and does not break down as fast. The dex6 they use Iis fully synthetic. I hate changinging to different oils all the time and prefer to use something I can get regularly. That way I can feel when things are changing. I havent been on trials or atf long enough to identify when my oil has gone bad.
  24. Bike: rev 3 270 Oil: ATF What are the symptoms indicating that a oil change is required? Sticky gears? Etc, etc? I am just curious and am keen to know what to look for. Guys have told me that your clutch feels funny but that doesn't describe much. What does a funny clutch feel like?
