Show Us Your Montesa!
guessing you were trying to buy it for spares then? The pallet was about £45, but then i got stung with a £30 collection charge as he went home at 5pm..10 mins before the courier tried to collect ! .. so didnt end up being quiet the bargin. But Im looking forward to having it back together. Saving the bike, rather than stripping it

Circlip Size, Ajp Rear Mastercylinder?
Hi All, At the weekend i stripped the rear brakes completely down on my 2001/2002 Sherco 125. And sadly managed to snap the retaining circlip in the master cylinder. Does anyone now what size it is off hand? I dont have any spare and im loathed to buy a 300pc pack for £80 from halfords when they are about 50p each. Anyone any ideas?

2002 Sherco 125 - Front Caliper Upgrade?
All good ideas and i think i'll investigate the caliper and see whats what first. Im not sure i'll get away with baking the brakes though, last time i tried to 'cook' a headlight so i could split it.. i got quite a telling off haha. I think a plumbers torch should work just as well though

2002 Sherco 125 - Front Caliper Upgrade?
Thank you very much for the offer of posting a set, however the post of postage from texas to the uk may out weigh the cost of buying new. Ill admit i did a google search and saw the thread about cooling the caliper. I think ill check over the caliper, maybe take a layer off the pads and heat it up. See how i go. Im guessing the sherco, Gas Gas and beta 4 pots fit, if i decide to do it?

2002 Sherco 125 - Front Caliper Upgrade?
Hi All, I've got my 15 year old brother riding a 2002 Sherco 125. Im very impressed with the little bike, goes any where i want it to (which isnt bad considering im bigger and heavier haha) However the front brake is rubbish. Its a Single piston jobbie, with no vents in the disc. Is there anyway to upgrade it? My mate with a Mont 315 just upgraded the front brake on his to a twin pot and its really changed the bike. so im looking to do the same. But dont really know which calipers fit and what modifications need doing. ANy help would be appreciated. Thanks ! Matt

Main Bearings Gone
I dont know about the Rev3 engine, but i know the TXT PRO had oil ways for the gearbox oil to lubricate the mains, is this not so on the rev3?
-
Main Bearings Gone
you could say the same about the bearings tho and pay double at beta. I'll see how i go, may write a how to, if i end up splitting the casings
-
Main Bearings Gone
even the seals though seem to be a standard part according to some of the posts on TC, Think im going to check all my bolts and then re-examine the mains issue
-
Shin Guards
look to be about 25 GP in the uk, Canada280i do these go under your trials trousers then? Im not sure mine would be baggy enough for them but its a good idea. I also have a nice lump on my knee from a trial yesterday !

Main Bearings Gone
Sorry for bumping another old thread, just though it was better than starting a new one. Im getting excessive vibration through my foot pegs and i believe it to be the mains. It seems all you need is Mains, main seals and a centre crankcase gasket. Has anyone had any joy with Branded Bearings like SKG, rather than going to beta and paying over twice as much? cheers

2007 Beta Rev 3 250 - Engine Vibration
im having similar issues of excessive vibration with my 270 Beta, It also had water pump failure and severe gearbox contamination. this is all fixed now but compared to my 125 sherco the vibration is very noticeable. can anyone else confirm if replacing the mains cures the problem? are the expensive to buy? Cheers Matt

Beta: Gunk In The Radiator?
Glad he was able to help fella. I did notice that the spring was missing from the seal, so something is off. Definately worth removing the casing and having another look

Beta: Gunk In The Radiator?
hmmm, not too sure about that, initially i think you've not seated the casing properly on the engine, as i think it should sit in that 'lip' I'll get a photo of my gearlever for comparison tonight
