  4. I have some 93 Paoli forks for a gasgas im building, and i cant seem to get the bushes for it. Even at a bearing suppliers. Dont know if that will help Matt
  5. well it might not be dum....because its in the last couple of days of 2006 So....he aint being too daft, you just got the wrong date mate
  6. Im liking the sound of having a carb jetted and sent to you for under 90, you think they will be able to help me with a carb for a 1983 MH 349 (its the montesa when honda bought it) the whole thing needs restoring. It doesnt have the right carb, and instead of messing with ebay, buying a carb already jetted would be great. is it just hitchcocks that do this? Matt
  7. will we ever see this black coated pro frame ? ?
  8. Dunno what happened with the repeat... i swear i didnt type it twice Sorry to hear about the land, tis a pain in the a*** ! Mat
  9. HaHa, well if we end up meeting a dean head farm i could take orders 20% is quite a nice discount but i still reckon play.com will be cheaper. Dougie, whats at this place ?? the one that you;ve been discribing ? is it basically an old railway cutting ? Mat HaHa, well if we end up meeting a dean head farm i could take orders 20% is quite a nice discount but i still reckon play.com will be cheaper. 11. Its really hard to get a torque wrench on my 1992 GasGas, so i asked BnB what to do, and they told me to do it to FT with a spanner.... F****ing TIGHT ! However my 05 Pro manual tells me Cylinder stud bolt fasteners - 25 Nm Cylinder head screws -11,5 - 13 Nm Cylinder Nut - 25 Nm Dont know if that will be your bike as you dont say, but hopefully that will help ? Have fun Mat
  12. Take it easy mate, Id hate to be in your situation. But just relax and look forward to sheffield next month ? Mat
  13. ooo Hard do's mate,...your car ? its pretty new that one, and its a VW.... poor fella.. My mini is a cheap fix ! but i keep getting some looks at trials events turning up towing two bikes on a trailor thats 25 years old, and two bikes that are worth 3 times the price of my car !! haha Matt
  14. Why tame it? just get use to it, Its a beast of a bike. My bro has an 04 raga, and it has a flywheel weight on, and a fast action throttle and its fantastic. The bike seems more 'twitchy' than mine, In the steering, and yes it can be a handful but its still a bloody fantastic ride ! - with the weight it still bloody revs up quick, would be interresting to take it off but he cant get the bolts out !!
  15. 99techno, Ill have a closure look at our kids, but if memory serves me right hes drowned his bike acouple of times in places where i didnt, so im abit dubious to completely remove the flappy bits. But ive covered the air intakes on the top next to the seat, but ill have a closer look at his bike and where all the silicone goes. Replies are appreciated Matt
  16. This is an interresting point. I do play in streams and i have got the air filter too wet once. On the bottom of my 05 box i have a flappy bit of plastic covering the hole and a bit of carbon looking materialu under it between the flap and the box..when i had water in my box this set up wouldnt let water out the bottom. So if this is stopping water getting in the bottom.. where is the water getting in ?? suppose i did take it to air box depth but only for a moment.... is the solution just to take the airbox apart and silicone it back together?? somehow i dont fancy that idea...dont know why... is it straight forward to do ? Matt
  17. If you've been looking around you will have noticed who it was. But theres no point going on a witch hunt. We are all supposed to be civilised you know ! and Andy the big cheese has already sorted it ! Your all like bloomin gossiping woman !
  18. hmm, mee too, wondered why my iris kept stretching recently.... not impressed. Are the renthal ones o-ring chains? do they need less maintainence? Sorry to hear about that andy, was it at the road trial you were observing ???? What have you done to it now then ? bought a new casing or just silicone sealer !! Matt

Have you tried going to ohlins yourself? surely they can help you ?
  20. I used red hammarite, without an ally primer...the paint is soft and dont recommend you do it, But it looks great...lol...im sure ill cry when it touches a rock
  21. ah i see well i will have to have a better look. Cheers for that dougie. I may just go over on saturday and spend the day there with my bro. Matt
  22. that bike was in tbm ages ago Its a good idea, but at the time it was made with loads of mountain bike stuff and was very flimsy and not good for off road. We could go anywhere on it, and it saves the planet. But in honesty if it did replace the classic road bike and trials bike....i would miss the exhaust noises..... But i would never use a fake noise like is suggested !! that bike was in tbm ages ago Its a good idea, but at the time it was made with loads of mountain bike stuff and was very flimsy and not good for off road. 23. ooo i could be up for coming over for awhile, i drove to the spot dougie, all the lorries were on the left and i could see the land behind. All covered by trees... ...i thought surely i cant just drive into the yard, so i went under the bridge and left next to the woods and up the road, and pulled up in a layby just up the hill, where theres like a carpark. which has been blocked off as its right next to the railway. So how do you get to this land and where on earth do you park ? as it was all fenced off and a railway track in the way ?? Firestarter. im 21 and when i was 15 i had a couple of **** bikes that lasted a year and never worked properly...for my 21st bday and uni graduation i got a GG 280 pro as a pressie and as my first real working modern bike, and i can handle it really well ! you have to respect the machine. some may say that the 05 version is softer in power then earlier ones. and ive been riding since feb and i love it my brother has the same experience as me and just bought a raga rep as his first bike !! 300cc and its fantastic, a handful but so worth it and controllable to us If you have repect for the bike and are confident in your ability to ride, ill think you'll be fine on pretty much anything. but the general thought is a 250, cant go wrong with it as it will do anything you ask it to do Matt
  24. Hey guys It seems i may make a few local friends ! will be a first ! Maybe a few of us should meet up at this spot and have a play? would be nice to have a ride with some folk, as ive only been in the trials scene since feb and only know acouple of people to practice with, And if your a trusty fellow firestarter ... i may let you have a go
