Pal of mine uses ATF in gearbox without any problems. I asked him about starting in gear and he said he gives a touch of throttle and then kick it over, i tried and it works

I've experienced petrol 'going off' a few times too but must admit it's been longer than 4 weeks. Nearest thing i can describe it to is varnish, smell and consistency change. Petrol strimmer is a candidate every year
  4. Hi lots of clubs in the North East and as you can see on here lots of results and events notified weekly. Practice areas are virtually non existent. There is a legal practice area near Sunderland, Karting North East, which costs
  5. The difference between the Montesa 4RT's and everything else on Monday in Scotland, IMHO, 2 stroke or 4 stroke. Montesa has no carburettor to fill with water, the water levels rose so quickly on Monday it was unbelievable

  14. been a few posts about this in the past Bigfoot, think the canadian guy that R2W was friendly with posted pics of a gearbox strip down and rebuild. I had an 02 GG that had gearbox problems and it was a top hat bush on the end of the shaft that had snapped then damaged a gear and shaft. Sorry i can't remember the exact procedure

  16. i put a rack on a front wheeel drive car and it doesn't affect the drive or steering any more than towing a trailer or a caravan. The bikes and racks aren't that heavy
  17. well i'm all sorted with accomodation for the Scottish. Next concern is photos. I'm taking a digital camera but i've not got a lap top. Will i have to take several memory cards or is there any other way of saving photos till i get home?

  20. Myresponse relating to Nigel Dabsters advice was not a dig at him. I have seen him reply to this question a lot. Hence my comment. Personally i think he's right. Once you silicone your rim the next time you adjust your spokes chances are they'll leak. Then you have a leak and a load of gunge to clean off
  21. might in fact be the correctsolution. wish i had a pound for every time you've answered this topic Nigel
  22. try tapping the brake hose gently while bleeding this may release any trapped bubbles. Failing that get a syringe from a vets and fill the system from the bleed nipple back to the reservoir
