  1. I've never been there when you've loaded bike !!! sponge on the bar attached to the rack saves the bike
  2. As British Champ does RHW get an invite to Sports Personality of the Year ? Should we start voting?
  3. Buy or make a decent rack...they have a bar between the rack and the car. Saves you squashing yourself between the bike and the rack
  4. Forgive me for asking Ham.... but have you been on longer fitting these bearings than Coronation Street has been running?
  5. stand with the front wheel between your legs, put the front brake on, pull bike toward you and the rear end will lift up. Swing it on to rack then bend your knees and lift front wheel up onto rack. Better still tell your lass your knackered and get her to lift bike onto rack
  6. I dare say without John Shirt's support of this site and trials like the Scott, Scottish, British Championships etc none of us would have much to read about any events. I read Dabill's report and Dougies and i enjoy reading Shirty's he generally gives an insight into the hardships encountered which i find interesting. Surely,4our Tea your attack on his contributions has not stemmed from his last post....so why did you read it?

    4rt

can't believe i forgot about the v mar chain guard, after smashing the case and pushing back to the car. Thanks Gordon. I haven't put rear set footrest hangers on, as i think it will put more pressure on my wrists, back. Which was the whole point of higher bars , to stop arm pump. I put thicker grips on too but thats just personal preference

as Perce says, sump shields are useless as are footrests some say hangers bend too easily too but depends on how much rockery you ride. I like to put higher bars on i find the standard ones a little low I left the gearing standard and the clutch and i find both are fine. Start from cold no throttle and let warm up start warm no throttle, start warm in gear a touch of throttle. Decent gearbox oil is a good mod too. As soon as you get it, err sorry as soon as your friend gets his change the bolts on the front disc guard for hex heads
  9. looks really uncomfortable on those tyres you need to fit some gnarly tyres and get some street cred Barry Can't see snapped spoke but spotted where your shopping basket clips on
  10. I've heard that Robert Crawford rides two trials a year. The Scott and the Scottish and he doesn't wear gloves !!!
  11. Thought only rock bands had roadies
  12. wonder if the local lads got round Paul Battensby and Lewis Peart ?
  13. Well done Billy 50 sections out of 76 is really good going considering they're saying its been one of the fastest Scotts ever Some more pies in your diet and you'll crack it next year mate
  14. Also thanks FranticFantic for the alert. better put the plug in the bath Ham
  15. 3.30 today i heard dougie was fastest with grimbo 8 minutes behind and dabill third
  16. Looking in my toolbox, i seem to have developed an allen key fetish, i've got hundreds of the blessed things quite fond of my dog turd tool Made a tool for taking off the 4rt front pipe
  17. John Sunters always very quick, spoke to him after the scott when Grimbo finished half an hour in front, John said he could have gone 15 minutes quicker than he did but no way half an hour quicker They all go far too fast good luck to everyone who has entered and my hats off to you all
  18. Ditto above, a tyre beeder or a strap is it such a difficult choice? Totally agree, beaders are best, you are the tyre fitting maestro Dabster, but if he hasn't a beader and the tyres on the rim the strap should work at a push. Both yomee and steve saunders sell beaders Spud, and both are TC supporters. Yomee cones with instructions a beader takes up the space between the tyre and the rimstopping the air escaping and allowing the tyre to seat Dabster you riding the Scott ?
  19. When you buy your tyre stick some cardboard spacers inside to seperate the two lips leave them for at least a week, or you could put an inner tubee in and inflate it to spread the tyre. As you now have the tyre on the rim. Place a ratchet type tie down in the centre of your tyre tread and ratchet down till the tyre sits on the rim both sides and inflatethen inflate with a compressor. Taking the strap off too soon will result in the tyre coming off the rim again. It won't go on immediately patience is required
  20. The guy that one the first one was a first timer
