  1. The bad news is No reply yet! must be a bank holiday! The good news is January 25 th 16.00 hrs Sheffield indoors on the telly and after that the Marseilles indoor is on straight after. Honest, really it is you can check for yourself on www.eurosport.com. They are obviousley trying to make up for their first attempt.
  2. Further to my e mail the address of any corespondence to Eurosport is newsroom@eurosport.com, I hasten to add that this shower is in FRANCE!!!!!! Thanks to Shercosi for the good ideas !
  3. This is an e mail i have sent today to Eurosport, after having time off work to watch nothing. If i get a reply i will put it up on Trials central Would it be possible to obtain an explanation as to why programmes such as trials are put in the TV scheduling they do not appear to be broadcast? On many occasions there are no excuses as to why the events are cut from the schedule. You do not even put up a small banner on the screen to explain that the programme will be delayed or cancelled, This afternoon the Sheffield indoor world championship was due to be broadcast at 16.00 on Eurosport 2 but instead snooker was broadcast. I happen to know of many trials enthusiasts that actually had an afternoon off work to watch the programme which turned into misery and confusion. Bearing in mind that anyone who had watched this programme would have paid in subscriptions to Sky or Cable networks did not receive a particularly good service or value for money. An explanation of events (or not) and procedures would be gratefully received.
  4. look here http://www.eurosport.com/tvschedule_clng0.shtml
  5. Dont forget the big stickers Andy! could add up to a lot of advertising.Big van, big event = more sponsors and more members.
  6. Looks like Raga's plans for 2006 have been scuppered, knowing that bou wouldn't be riding in the whole series it didnt matter if he won Sheffield, as lew gas said he could have got a three on the last section (waterfall) and won the trial but as Andy said he could be riding the whole series.

  8. I have both a 290 Sherco and a Gas Gas 280 pro as far as replacement parts are concerned the Sherco is way at the top only needing consumables. As for the Gasser it has had clutch, brake , gearbox problems mostly sorted but for the gearbox get it up into 4th and it wont go down just hits neutral! you have to stop the engine and change up and down until it clears and theres always the clunk into higher gears. But in conclusion they are both totally diferent to ride, but both just as good. When riding the Gasser i am constantly waiting for something to go wrong. My son who is 12 always rides the Sherco when we are riding together as the Gasser is just to powerfull at the bottom end wheras the Sherco is smooth and easier to ride.
  9. From what i can gather the problem with Trials world was financial (advertisers etc) but the actual price of the mag was only
  10. Marc Freixa signed for one year at Scorpa, it will make the championship of the World to the 4 time old handlebar. Marc could test a motor bike of series and says himself very content with the potential of this motor bike and finds that such as it, the SY 250 F is already as powerful as Montesa developed by the HRC! Marc is justified with such a machine to find the way of the podiums in outdoor. This is the basic translation of the website, dont know about Freixa being a 4 time old handlebar?
  11. I have been building motorcycle wheels for years now, you cannot build a wheel one spoke at a time, 1 check the offset (the centre hub may not be in the middle) 2 strip the old spokes out. 3 Fit all the spokes looseley (2 or 3 threads) 4 fit the spindle in the hub 5 place in a jig (like a swinging arm) 6 tighten spokes at 0 90 180 270 360 degrees to make it slightly rigid 7 adjust spoke tightness to make the wheel round (not oval) 8 when round check offset and take buckle out of rim tightening and undoing spokes(tolerances are 1mm side to side movement) 9 check all spokes for a nice sprung ring 10 wheel finished took 1 hour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(and 20 years experience) 11 Good luck. :ph34r
  12. welcome, dont worry were all rubish at trials you,ll fit in well.
  13. I,d like to wish everyone a Happy new Year and thank Andy for putting up with us! :hat:
  14. He's better than he used to be ! still wearing 1980s trials troos tho
  15. Dunno about that. Anybody else thinking of responding, do it offline please! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have a friend who has made a Trialscentral member very happy this christmas if you want to know anymore personal messages please.
  16. This may sound daft but spark plugs can break down under load, when they are laid on the barrel or head (to earth them) you will still get a spark try changing the plug could be a simple fix, no guarantees tho. :snowman:
  17. Its true Hurrah ! 1.30 Friday afternoon, its even advertised in the saturday daily mail television supplement with a photo of our Dougie and its a pick of the day, god save us all trials is becoming popular.(bet its cancelled due to olympic sumo ba11et dancing!!!!!!!!!!!) :madsanta) Here's the Eurosport schedule Happy watching 12:30 Football UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE CLASSICS Milan (13:30) 13:30 Trial Trial Bikes (14:30) :santawink: 14:30 All Sports WATTS Cruel world of sport (14:45) 14:45 All Sports WATTS Movies (15:15)
  18. I know this sounds awful but Dougie doesnt really have time on his side with all the younger Spanish riders. He has now not won 2 indoor trials championships or 2 out doors in the last 2 years. If he wants to go out in a blaze of glory (like we know he still can )a good competitive 2 stroke is the way to go GAS GAS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Or have Montesa put some long hours in and made a more powerfull and lighter bike to compete with the 2 strokes But what do i know
  19. i actually bought the bike in a box but you are probably right but road bikes dont make good trials bikes :hat:
  20. Just thought someone would like to see my last 6 months graft. What we have here is a Yamaha that started its life as a TY50 road bike, The only bit left is the rear brake plate as it points down not up. resto goes like this . blasted and stove enamelled frame and swinger SM tank and seat unit SM foot pegs SM rear brake lever clutch lightener original ty 80 clutch and brake levers ty handlebars Total enging and gearbox rebuild front fork rebuild inc bearings new chain and sprockets etc etc now ready to roll and is suprisingly fast due to high gearing and big wheels.
  21. Saw this one on ebay is this what u had in mind it sold used for
  22. Breaking complete JCM240 all there except front forks
  23. Mate of mine bought a Mitas rear tubeless tyre for his Montesa 319 ,he couldnt get it to seat on the rim properly(it kept spinning on the rim) in the end he bought a irc problems gone. although i have a Mitas on the rear of my bultaco sherpa with a clamp and its ok
