Yes they all have the mesh around the tube, but not sure of the reason why. Use the best packing you can get ( i.e. Silent Sport. ) as fibreglass does not absorbe as well as exhaust wadding.

The kit is just a head off to fit job. Should not need any carb adjustments. A friend of mine did it to his 250 03 and when tryed alongside my 250 03 the differance was very noticable. Way to soft for my liking.

I think there are a few of us on this forum who ride the Classic rounds so a few ideas floated would be a good idea. I would agree that Solo and Sidecar Championship Rounds on the same course just do not work. Slightly harder sections overall as no round should be won on a clean ride. Would an O/40 championship work on its own at other Clubman Nationals? Oh, and proper Non-Stop observing just like the old days, eh Nigel!

With the reported retirement of Pepe Manzano from the World series due to being unable to find enough backing for next year, plus riders such as Ben Hemingway also stopping. I though that the silver gassers from the mid-late 90,s were all 320cc. So its possible the bike is either a 320 or if it is a 250 its had replacement plastics.

You might find it is not a carb problem, but just a knack of starting the Pro. Alot of people have found that once you get used to the feel of the kick its fine. Give it a few weeks.

Camozzi is out injured for the year. Can,t see him returning at World level next year though, the new guard have arrived!

Bikespace, Yes there is an O/40 championship. Its within the ACU Classic series.
