2005 Gasgas 300 Raga Clutch Movement?
If you had the clutch cover off I reckon you haven't lined the waterpump drive up properly if it overheated.

My Scorpa Fleet Expands
Being a 2006 yours may not have the later carb setup with an accelerator pump like my 2008. Apparently the hesitation you describe was a problem with the earlier models hence the pump on the later bikes

Over 50 Twinshocker Looking For S/se Club..
Great club, Duncan! I'm biased as I'm on the committee! You just missed a good event Sunday just gone for twinshock/british bikes run by Thames MCC. You will also now be a member of South Harrow in the South Midland centre as we have a reciprocal arrangement with them. Next event is at Dews FArm on the 18th Jan, hope to see you there.

Over 50 Twinshocker Looking For S/se Club..
Wycombe are running a non expert & british bike trial at Hambledon on 11th Jan and CSMA have a twinshock/british bike trial at Bagshot 1 st Feb. Star Group (SE Centre) run an event on the second Sunday of every month except Nov that always has a twinshock class. Next Star Group is 11Jan at Hungry Hill. SE Centre events yellow route would be ideal to ease you back in, most sections could be ridden on a trail bike.

Could you not use a Dzus fastener instead?- 315 Master Cylinder
Not sure what the Grimeca one is like on the 315 but I replaced the one on my old Rev3 with a Brembo one from some Aprilia road bike. It was also cheaper at £35. I found my local Brembo stockist and took my old Grimeca along and within half an hour we had found an almost perfect Brembo match- Hello From Speedtracktales

I was talikng to a friend today at the Phil Mellor twinshock trial and he is very good friends with someone who worked for Eric Cheney around that time and he reckoned they made around 6 cantilever Ossas. I had a an early Cheney framed twinshock at time and I also remember Simon Cheney riding one of the cantilever ones in local OTC trials, it also had very lightweight leading link front forks.- 2004 Gg300 Txt Pro The Good And Bad
That is almost the spitting image of mine (must be it's American cousin). Only issues I have had are the Ducati ignition which was used for 2 years on the pro. I ended up replacing the whole lot, flywheel included, for the later Kokusan Japanese set up. PS I have a rebuilt Ducati stator coil setup and good regulator rectifier if you ever need it! As far as starting goes there is a definate technique to it! I call it the harley kick. DO NOT stab at the kickstart otherwise you will end up chipping the teeth on the kickstart mechanism. I bring the kickstart down with my foot slightly til I feel everything engage then throw my weight behind it and it usually starts within 1 or 2 kicks. I would liken it to starting a four stroke! Also to tame the beast slightly use a slow action Domino throttle. It is a torque monster and I find it much easier to ride than the 250- Ready To Nuke My Gas Gas
If it's a pro the timing is not adjustable on the stator. My 300 pro had a similar issue and although had what I thought was plenty of compression. When the ring gap was checked it was found to in excess of specs, bore was fine and within tolerences and a new piston and rings cured it all. Also unfortunately on the pro engine ou have to split the cases to change the main seals if that proves to be the problem.- New From Uk
Not a million miles from me then. I'm Addlestone, nr Weybridge. Where are you practicing at the moment? Join a local club and go to an event and try the yellow route, most can almost be ridden on an enduro bike. There are a couple of trials coming up early Sept at Bagshot if you are interested- New From Uk

Just think, I threw everything you want away when I cleared out my parent's house. It was all brand new too, as I took if straight off mine when I got it new.
