In 2005 I had my first 4 RT and it was much to loud for me. So I had the idea to make it more quiet, KTP (a friend of me) contructed and produces it, Jitsie also sold it.
It can't be wrong, the new RCV1000R has a similar exhaust....

The KTP Silencer is a simply solution to make the 4 RT more quiet. It has two sieves, who are braking the bang.

The idle-speed must be about 1.900 rpm, so turn it up, and normaly it must start.

@ross brawn, the silencer cannot be used at the newer exhaust.

Showa for Beta you can get from Banyeres (former minder from Fujigas). But when you change the fork, you also have to change rear shock, you can't have an excellent front and a ordinary back. Costs are round about 2.000 EUR...!?

Cheaper solution would be to change the brand, take a GG Raga, with a nearly perfect Tech fork and a very fine Reiger shock...

Did your friend change the idle-speed? 4RT needs aa idle-speed from about 1.900 revs/min to start the motor easily. Also you need a very little clearance at the throttle.

I have a 4RT (my second after a REV 300) and it's a wonderful and very reliable.
But yesterday i rode a EVO 300 4-stroke, very handy and powerful. I'm no Beta fan, so I hope wishfully, Honda/Montesa will bring out soon a new bike. It will certainly not be worse than a EVO.
Does anybody know any news?
