Adding more dates to an already over crowded callandar isn't on.
Why can't the system be completely revamped?
6, 8 or 10 weekend events in the year.
All kids classes, Ladies & Adults all at one event.
Showcase events which can be used to promoted Trials to a wider audience & possibly outside sponsors.
Events can be run by individual Clubs or Centres to pool resources.

There are two statues in a park; one of a nude man and one of a nude woman.
They had been facing each other across a pathway for a hundred years, when one
day an angel comes down from the sky and, with a single gesture, brings the two to life. The angel tells them, "As a reward for being so patient through a hundred blazing summers and dismal winters, you have been given life for thirty minutes to do what you've wished to do the most."
He looks at her, she looks at him, and they go running behind the shrubbery.
The angel waits patiently as the bushes rustle and giggling ensues.
After fifteen minutes, the two return, out of breath and laughing. The angel tells them,
"Um, you have fifteen minutes left, "Would you care to do it again?"He asks her. "Shall we?" She eagerly replies, "Oh, yes, let's! But let's change positions. This time, I'll hold the pigeon down, and you sh*t on its head."

While I do think Raptors are the best hangers out there they eventually bend just like steel ones. They get to the point they need a swift **** with a mallet after every event.
-
The camera doesn't half flatten a tough section Can I have good quality copy of that?
First section Duncan does nearly did for me on the Friday though. Nearing the end cards I somehow landed upsidedown , one of them 'what the **** happened there' crashes, I didn't even put a hand out. Cracked my ankle & elbow very hard, infact my ankle is still uncomfortable at times.
-
-
Good idea, you buy it & give it to Stu, you owe me one.
-
That sounds a good plan. So as long as HL & Cam DON'T blow the fuse of the Electricity Boards connection to my house this year I'll be able to actually go to the Auction.
-
Thinking why is my bum so sore
He'll be well safe, you haven't got an invite.
-
That's how we've been doing the splits in sections on our day in the 3 day for some time.
-
No I haven't. StuHRC is over for the Scott in a few weeks & if last year is anything to go by he'll wake up laid on the floor in our living room. It'd be grand if Santa came early & left a new pressure gauge on his pillow.
-
The ones on our site are mostly in Brown's Ghyll, back of the builders yard. More photos here:- http://www.trialscentral.com/cms/showartic...?articleID=2476 some are at Brown's but mostly at Low Houses which was the next section group at the w/e.
-
Virtually all sections used this year at Crackpot have appeared at some point in the 3 day over the last few years.
Short of getting Bruce Cook in to tarmac sections some arn't going to clean owt come what may!
-
So the sections that were used in the 3 day were ok but when used at Crackpot they were too hard? What a load of B*****ks. How many went clean? Not too easy was it?
Same section different weather conditions, they usually ride better full of water as there's considerably more grip.

Apologies Perce did n't mean to open a debate about the severity of the trial.
That's not a problem, I think open debate on Trials is good. Don't know if one route for all is the answer but I do think there is a problem in general in Yorkshire Centre Events. There's a hard route that is done by only a few, even fewer of those will enjoy it but no one ever wants to upset the organisers so it always goes unsaid. Then there's usually an easy route that quite often is a bit of flag dancing. For those in the middle there's most often nowt. I got sick trying to half kill myself on sections that frightened the **** out of me years ago, also can't be a***d to spend 2 hours each way in van for a trial that gives me as good a work out as riding round the garden for couple of hours.
This w/e was an effort to give a good ride out for as many as possible & a sensible challenge with no tight turns or mega steps, an old fashioned trial.
I asked a well know journalist at the 3 day if he'd rather ponce round clean all day or have one cracking ride up a real section, I don't think he gave me a straight answer, can you?
-
RMC only has two Experts in the Yorkshire Centre AFAIK, Expert stutus or Intermediate status for that matter are hard earned. Most of the lads that ride the hard route are Clubmen just like you & me.
I've never really understood what a Clubman is nevermind an average one.
-
We simply didn't bother putting the hard version of many of the sections in on our day, they were mostly the clubmen sections we'd used before. The fact there was no yellow flags seemed to intimidate some. We had to do a fairly late route change on the Sunday route which didn't help what we'd planned & then add in half a dozen sessions sorting out the A/B national. We probably missed a trick or two & didn't put enough Clubman ride throughs in.
Don't know what we'll do next year, marking one route is a hell of a lot easier though. The only thing that has been discussed is the swapping of Friday & Sunday routes. Earlier star Friday with the long day & then the shorter day on the Sunday so we can get the results & everything tidied up sooner.
-
It's a Centre event so just like our 3 day it's pitched to give a challenge to those that ride the green route. From the feedback of those who either struggle on the hard route or do well at on the green route AG got it spot on.
The land we have use of for this event has probably some of the best natural trials hazards in the country, why waste it flag dancing? One of these years we'll put on a single lap of 50, I can think of where most of the sections will be without trying.

last years results & this:-

Majority of clubmen have lost very similar marks to last year but a lot of the lads who go to many centre events & get used & abused on the hard route get a whole lot more enjoyable day.
Sad fact is far too many clubmen aren't fit enough to ride round the loop never mind the sections. There's at least 5 of the retirements holding Scott entries, Sunday's route was just a steady ride out, they'll be buggered well before the first petrol check come Scott day.
Add in the fact it's one hell of a lot easier time marking out, lot less work for the 'few'
I'd like to add it wasn't me, family commitments kept me away, it probably would have been harder if I'd had a hand. Ask the B class lads at our National!
-
He'll never do that job! He'll mek the kids hand over their brass in exchange for presents.
-
AG only put the Clubman course on, proves that everyone can ride one sensible course & still find a winner amongst the good lads.
-
Bet they don't stay on the front page long.
-
He only left Beta cos he was concerned about Heath stalking him, I heard Andy showed him the cowboy photos.
-
The only major difference is the forks, bigger & better on an 04 bike. The 03 has a flat slide carb on it which was again improved by reverting to a standard dellorto in 04.
-
no class for useless twats.
