Is it my eyes or is the airbox missing off this pristine example? When I had one of these many moons ago the rubber bag type shocks went on the other way up too

You know that HL & Cam are in charge of time keeping this year, so you also know that getting extra time out of those two will be impossible. Ask Ishy, Dabill & Brown they all tried & FAILED.
-
That was a watch you blind bugger, you should have bought it as I see you lost some more time faults on Saturday.
-
Sorry Stu, somebody will send me a new one for you I'm sure.
-
At Chairlift on Thursday morning a friend of mine loaned me his pristine Yamaha pressure gauge & unfortunately I proceeded to loose it somewhere between the bottom of the first section & the begin cards of the 3rd section.
Is there anybody out there that can help me replace this item?

FF is talking crap you don't need an International licence, that stopped years ago.
-
Get saving & buy a 4RT, it'll haul your fat lardy a*** round there with time to spare.
-
Did you ever get to meet Dabtser so that you could get to fall out with him in person?
-
-
He did the same in 04, he hadn't got used to the speed blur effect by Friday morning & unfortunately missed some flags,

At our club trial on Monday afternoon there was 70 or so kids riding & only one TY80. I've heard that there hasn't been many sighted in the youth nationals this year either. Is it the end of an era?

Funny that but in Fort William last weekend there was a party of Americans, their obsession was to drink / brew the strongest beer. Drinking 6 or 8 pints of normal beer & having a laugh with your mates for a few hours didn't really sink in with them at all.

Kids can't compete until they are 6.
No kid can ride an over capacity bike as they are not insured to do so.
This is what our Club runs, a lot of Clubs do the same or very similar.
We run a conducted course at our events which is a totally different to the rest of the Trial, this is for the small wheel classes 6 to 8 year olds. We do allow older beginner kids to ride this just to let them find out what it's all about. They usually do a lap as a group together then they are allowed to go round on their own after that, they usually will have 4 or 5 laps of 10 sections.
At 9 / 10 when they go into C class they ride in the main event with everyone else, which to be honest can be quite daunting for them & in my opinion too much for the majority. The first year in C class sees many of them struggle.
As a Club we run Trials with 3 routes, Hard 50 / 50 & Easy. ( 50 / 50 does 1/2 the hard sections 1/2 the easy sections) The kids can ride any level they want, it's down to their level of riding ability. The majority of C class do the easy route but then the A & B will split down 25% 25% 50% hard to easy.

Age limits for this year with bike allowed:-
D Class born between 1/1/97 and 31/12/00 - 50 mono 80 t/s
C Class born between 1/1/94 and 31/12/96 - 80 / 125 run as 2 classes at national level 80 only next year
B Class born between 1/1/91 and 31/12/93 - 125
A Class born between 1/1/89 and 31/12/90 - 125 / 250 run as 2 classes at national level 125 only next year
This is the last year of changes. As far as I know the Spanish system is the same
Difficult to say how good the kids are but I'd have thought Wiggy would stand a good chance of beating anyone currently riding in America, adult or youth.

No, this one was done by Andy Kearton.

I think these topics need merging:-

IKB describes what you need to do, certainly don't need to drain the water off.
-
I think the oval swinging arm is the give away. I currently trying to get a picture or two of a mono shock Bulto that was regularly used in our part of the world, it was a home brew special.
-
Dabster is saying that it's a copy of the Comerfords modified one.
-
what you let the water out for?

I'd rather spend my brass on something that makes the thing more rideable than spend it on something that looks pretty. I have one on my bike, it's set softer than standard as I prefer being in charge up beck sections rather than visa versa. It certainly stops it from pulling my arms out & being a yard in front of me.
As for Freddie the Ferret advertising on here I can't complain about the service they give. I bought some Mitani footrest hangers which turned out not to be what I asked for, not only did they change them but upgraded them to Raptors free of charge. Cheers, spot on!
I did notice the Raptors were considerably cheaper to post than the Mitani ones! I'm stunned at the weight difference, I thought there was only one in the bag.

So is R2W by all accounts

The 125 & also 50 / 80 cc age limitations have been fed into the system over a number of years, this has allowed to a point the availabilty of cheaper 2nd hand bikes to be available. Having said that the market over here is seriously deflated on ALL 2nd hand bikes everyone seems to want to buy new. Try selling a year old bike, certainly don't expect a windfall!
Up until this year riding out of class on an over capacity bike has been allowed but to my knowledge this has now been stopped on insurance grounds, clubs simply aren't allowed to take the entry.

I see that CK is turning into a full time groupie as he's trying to give away his Sherco on the front page. What's up Dom? Getting a heavier, red & noisey scoot to carry round????
