  1. kin hope not, I really enjoyed the day round Kinlochleven last year. If we do go that way is it OK to ride back down from the Pap of Glenco the way we go up?

  3. Did you take that one with the mobile as you were choppered in to the game?
  4. Last time some pratt decided to paint rocks at one of our venues it took up a lot of time for somebody else to turn all the rocks over. Something useful:- http://www.yorksurvey.co.uk/products/prods2/flag/f-mark.htm We've never used them as we make our own & are also concerned about livestock consumption.
  5. Don't know about the results but it was good of RMC to lend them our flags don't you think?
  6. cut the piece that holds the ball in the breather & ditch the ball.

    Who's In

    So will his bike.
  8. Priceless! That's after being told that he's a two times world champion at the start too! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I would consider this to be wrong info anyway, he won the Outdoor World Championship in 1992 only, breaking Tarres' run of domination. At that point as far as I know there was no indoor championship as such, unless they called the big indoor at Bercy a WC.
  9. Get up to date! The man left the Sherco camp a little while ago.
  10. No idea where it'll be held next year as we are considering running both trials at the same venue. The A & B wouldn't be held where the C & D was last year.
  11. I've just been informed that the ACU have allowed us to alter our dates to avoid a clash with the YMSA 3 day event. Ladies National will now be held on 13th August. C & D National will be held on 19th August. A & B National will be held on 20th August.
  12. Why don't you simply call your national Trials series 'World Series Extreme Trials' then at the end of the year you've got yourselves a World Champ.

Young Sadler has a Sherco for 2006.
  14. Simply innit? My vote says no.
  15. Our club ran a lot of these events in the 80's & 90's, they were good fun to ride in but a hell of a lot of work for those who had to build the sections. I think insurance is a problem now & as far as I know they have to double rope the perimetre of the ring so it's more work for the show organisers too. We did try something from the past at our 3 day trial this year
  16. As I said we have received no ACU money in recent years & when we did it was a gesture shall we say. At 30 quid for two fairly intensive days paid for by the parents it's better value than two club trials.
  17. We always used to get a contribution for the 2 day school from the ACU but I don't recall having seen a cheque from them in recent years.
  18. Hit the nail on the head there Andy, that's what Trials is & has been all about. When folk realise this again perhaps the World Championship etc etc will return to reality.
  19. Well hopefully a report on a training day in Arkengarthdale today should appear on here soon showing Trials Centrals support for this.
  20. To try and explain a few simple facts to r2wtrials and like minded riders. The whole point in having a trials registration (or 'licence')is that with that simple exceedingly cheap to obtain piece of card comes all important third party insurance cover at all trials you enter. From an organisers point of view we are held responsible should any accidents to other people (spectators etc) or damage to fences, vehicles etc occur during a trial. So long as riders who enter the events have a trials registration card these eventualities are covered by the ACU under the permit that is granted for that event. All very boring for you lads who want a cheap thrash around the hills but non the less essential for those of us who put our names on official documents and are held responsible whilst you enjoy yourself. Food for thought and please give a thought to the wider picture and for Gods sake GET A LICENCE. I will even do it for you if you let me have your details ! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> then stick it up 20 quid or so & how many more won't bother. As you're stood in the que to enter "what's your number mate so I can get one that looks summat right on me entry form?"
  21. So how much did Trials contribute to this fund then?
