  1. A quick way to make a spacer is to use an old 6 bolt sprocket, the pairs of holes are at the correct cross centres for the clamps. Obviously you need to cut the sprocket up a bit. This will give you a 5mm pack but you will need longer bolts to fix the the clamps back on. I found the fat bars far too low for my bad back so I bought a pair of Renthal clamps for approx
  2. push the pins out to remove to top part of the clamp.
  3. Don't think he was having a pop at you unless you write for trials world?
  4. The whole idea of it was to get everyone to have one, remember that if you have no licence you have no insurance. At one point I would suggest that less than 1/2 the people riding actually had licences when you had to pay a more substanstial amount for them. We pay the ACU a top up fee everytime we ride,
  5. 17 years old & also have a motorcycle driving license but I'll show my a*** in Binns window if everybody who rides has one. EDIT For Binns insert any large department store in your neibourhood.
  6. He must be having too much fun riding that real trials bike he has.
  7. If a club are will to put that much work & effort in don't knock it.

    4rt Test Day

Exciting new colour scheme is the only change as far as I know.
  9. But this doesnt happen very often and that means everyone else is penalised because of it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You obviously weren't riding in the early 90's then because it did happen a lot just like Woody & AS IOW have said.
  10. Nowt to do with me, not my turn to do the flag fairy job. It didn't get much past freezing up here last weekend & the venue can be bleak in the summertime.
  11. Observing is done by volunteers such as friends, family members of riders etc. Our club quite often gets entries of 200 for trials & in the summer months it's fairly easy to get observers but when it's cold & damp in the winter we can struggle a bit. At the 3 day we run there are 40 sections a day & we never struggle for observers & helpers. To close the course we run a back marker system which usually is whoever has acted as clerk of the course for that event, to a certain level the c of c can also compete in the event he's marked out. Markers out usually get a free entry & the observers get food from the butty waggon.
  12. But so few riders actually have these skills. Most of those that hop & fanny about would do far better if they actually rode the sections in a straight forward manner. You're talking of marking Trials for the minority not the majority. I don't think anybody wants to go back to the days 25 years ago where we all rode one route & that was it.
  13. Haven't you realised it's been like that for years?
  14. Spot on Ish, let the circus also know as the World Championship do what they like & let the rest of us ride no stop. Make the rules straight forward & the riders will come.
  15. Don't know about the cross dressing but I know all about the over eating. Fat piggy had 3 breakfasts & paid a visit to the pie shop in Reeth last time he came up to ride one of our Trials.
  16. Good to see another Yorkshire Centre Club running a 2 course with 3 routes event. Now why doesn't this happen at all Yorkshire Centre events?
  17. Since when's Aunty Rhoda been the Beta importer?
  18. You only get one of them because you're too frightened of Rhoda to buy owt else.

This bike is owned by a friend of mine. As far as we know it was built by Reg May for Walter Dalton, it's on a X registration plate so I make that 81 - 82. It's a 250 & probably the most noticable thing is the box section swinging arm with the altered pivot point.
  21. Full report on page 89 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Is that because the first 88 pages were so full of adds that they couldn't fit it in?
