  1. Don't forget that Graham Jarvis set standard time & only lost 11 on observation in 2003, he claimed he was hard done by at the time as he didn't think he'd lost that many.

One of Redvanman's photos at the last section on the Grouse Moor :- http://www.richmondmotorclub.com/coppermin...album=23&pos=59 He had no gears & kickstart that was now longer connected to anything inside the engine.

The last section you are recorded doing is 49 which is 3 after petrol check 4, that's just as you go out onto what is know as the Grouse Moor. You certainly made it passed half way & deserve praise for doing so on that little 80. Back next year? The section break down & times etc have been forwarded to Andy so he'll publish them soon I hope.

Don't know anything, it was James Duxbury & I think he popped a collar bone. The Bradford lads should have some news. I understand that the Fell Rescue gang were a bit miffed that the helicopter beat them there. It happened in the section under Orgate falls which I've been told was very slippery. Vinnies photo of Orgate taken on Friday http://www.trialscentral.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5980
  7. I've got a pack set myself but I still prefer the Renthals. The only bars I've ever snapped are a pair of the old Hebo braced, frightening when I did but hilarious trying to ride back to the car with only one side attached to the bike.
  8. I ride with the Renthal bars & Renthal clamp set just like Physco does as the Raga set up is just too flat for us old blokes, you'll need to swap over real soon Heath.

The normal allowance is 2 hours 30 minutes over Standard Time but we had to make an adjustment to the times because the course had to be closed at one point before the 3rd section for an air ambulance to land to take away an injured rider. So the maximum allowance over Standard Time this year was increased to 2 hours 37 minutes. The 2 hours 30 minutes allowance has always been used since Richmond took over the running of the event in 1991.
  10. As soon as I get them they will be on here.
  11. David Knight's ride proves that the crash & bash method doesn't work, his bike was buggered at the finish. Jarvis once again proved he's the man by stuffing the opposition, 13 on time & a mere 16 on observation, that's half the score of his nearest rival. He's now equal with Sammy Millers record of seven wins, roll on next year.
  12. There was 15 riders to go quicker than Knight.
  13. Nearly 50 minutes slower than fastest man was Mr Knight. Hard mans Trial the Scott & experience counts for everything. Maria Conway finished in time by the way, she was in tears with shear exhaustion.
  14. Mike has contacted me about sidecar trials that Richmond Motor Club used to run in the 70's 80's. He was wanting a copy of a dvd that the club has recently produced. For some reason the email he used to contact me will not let me respond, so is there anyone out there that can contact him for me?
  15. What I want to know is that if Grimbo wins again this year will Malc Rathmell smile when he hands over the pot? That would put Grimbo on seven wins equal with Sammy Miller but probably more importantly one in front of the father in law.
  16. He's never ridden it before. He doesn't know where he is. He doesn't know how long it is. (Neither do we for that matter) Finally it's a TRIAL, there's 76 sections & at least 76 bits that are far rougher than the sections. (The more you put your feet down the more knackered you get) Good luck to him but I bet Grimbo or Dabill go passed me up the finish field before him.

I didn't realise you were such a slow reader.
  18. It's a magic ingredient that the pros have, it's called talent.
  19. White vans are the best they can balance on two wheels or is that just the way Dabster parks?
  20. Dalton Woods is still available, it is now organised via White Bros in Darlington.
  21. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1 Come on John you know you want it!
  22. I understand that the final instructions are in the post somewhere, I got my programme sent early last week. The petrol cans do have to be 'real' ones, crappy old tins etc are no longer acceptable. If you don't put your number on clearly it makes it difficult for the petrol teams to give you the petrol you want in the bloody rush you want! It must been a long time since you last rode as the club have provided number boards (same as the 3 day) for a lot of years now.
  23. Six petrol checks but you only need FIVE cans. Checks one & six are in the same place at Hurst & you fill up there on the way out & the way back in. The remaining checks (2 3 4 & 5) you only visit once. SO! Fill your can which goes to check one/six full. Fill the other four cans with enough gas to fill your tank up once.
  24. a less gentle tug with a pair of pipe grips
