So how much of your time & effort do you give freely to enable others to enjoy their days sport?
-
-
We have 5 C of C's with national licences, at least a dozen or more with Centre ones. We have 3 secretaries & then there's the ty & small wheel organisers. Our Club pays affiliation for non-riding workers. ( or has done some years) Quite a lot of our officials also receive honorarium.
-
I make that one hell of a lot of free affiliation to the ACU, I'd say we have 20+ regular organisers in our club alone.
-
There's always a first time to actually do any training. Second thoughts book him a place Boof.
-
Do you want a trial or a game of hide & seek?
-
Average trial rider's ***** at maths too. When asked at the end of trial most can't give you answer within 20 of their actual score.

not up to date though.

I think you'll make a great team player big lad!
There's a burger van at halfway, towing your own isn't a good plan as it probably won't go through the gate at the bottom of the start field. No pubs actually on the course these days since the closure of the Green Dragon at Hurst in the 1970's. Strap your cider tins to your petrol as it'll be an incentive to get to the next check.

ewe though it was funny though

Extra fuel for sightseeing trips
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
you're too buggered for sight seeing in't Scott, there's no dossing on't road for a rest.
-
Can't do that now the bugger put's oil in it.
I only used Kinells petrol because I put my tin on the wrong van, it's Scott tradition for the marshalls to borrow petrol from friends who aren't going to get that far, particularly those daft enough to put 5 litres in their can.
-
Come to think of it there are probably 20 sheep in Yorkshire that could beat anyone from the USA right now.
-
-
Well I'd already canvased Armyman & Gizza5 to do a team this year already, doing it for their own cause.
-
Scott Committee Chairman Bruce Storr, aka Copley Decor sponsor of Sandifords Trials team, is currently being pushed extremely hard by fellow Committee members into doing this years event. We've nailed him to a figure of
-
Pity it isn't, eh? You'd then have at least 20 riders better than anyone that the USA have currently got.
-
I friend of mine has a Honda TLM260 Pentax 2 stroke. He's possibly looking to sell it in the near future. Is it correct to say that there are very of these bikes in the UK? He believes only 2 were brought in, is this correct? He's owned the bike from new but the lure of a piece of modern 4 stroke kit is tempting him to sell.
-
-
What skill level is required to ride that?
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
zero to superstar, you set off & see how far you can get. If you want to ride for charity make some dosh for a good cause.
-
theres a steady little jaunt of a trial going on in fort William,
This May day bank holiday,It only lasts six days, why not have a go at that,
how does between 80 to 126 miles per day sound to ya??
One lap trials are the best, proper trials & long may they continue.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hehe I think I might just wait a few years before having a go at that little jolly. Also, I gotta agree with the Dabster that only having the one chance at a section is the dogs danglies
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I think you should get in training for the Scott NOW! Not only do you get one go at 76 different section you don't get chance to look at them either.
-
The Cleveland run by Middlesbrough Club is in March, one lap of 30 someting sections, fair bit of road & moor, 2 routes marked but 3 ridden. (do the easy route) Can be a bugger to get a ride though as it's usually oversubscribed.
-
Out of the 29 days of Trialing a year that Richmond Mototr Club run we have four Trials that include road work.
Gerald Simpson Memorial - Traditional one lap of 40 sections, entry limit 150 - oversubscibed within 5 days of entries opening.
Reeth Three Day - Tradional Trial of 40 sections a day (all different) - oversubsribed within 5 days of entries opening. We run with approx. 180 riders but we'd still have to turn people away if ran with 300.
Crackpot Trial - Yorkshire Centre Championship round - 2 laps of 25 sections - not pre-entry but we have had over 150 turn up to ride.
Scott Trial - as Overthehill said a while back 'The only REAL Trial left' - entry limit of 200, full in recent years - As it's Time & Observation road crossings are police manned - Ask Dabster what young Wiggy said after seeing the Scott for the first time 'I've got to do this'
Will there be a promoter brave enough to run a T & O Trial with a pot of gold for the winner? It's what Trials needs.
-
Have you spent your life in a darkened room? The governers of Trials change the goalposts on a regular basis.
