I've heard you've not been training Mr Kinell
  4. That bit I got. It's this: that got me. tet awd en - to the old one a lil low - he missed words out here, it should be a 'nobut a lil bit low', meaning that the site is a little bit low on info. The reason for this is ME too much to do not enough time to do it.
  5. Now I can understand exactly what he's written, infact he's done a fair good job on writting it as it's said round here.
  6. Solid 'ish rubber about same diameter as a push bike inner tube.
  7. You loved it realy Carlas Come & do our 3 day & get to see all that Scott scenery at a leisurly pace in hopefully sunny weather.

The reservoir was moved on the 04 models & it did make the job quite a bit easier. The extension piece was not on my 02 or 03 bikes, the 03 had the flat slide carb on it, it was on my 04 bike. My 05 bike does not have one on. All my bikes have been 280cc.
  9. I can just see the National Parks stumping up 1/2 the money & helping run one of these events.

1- Put the airbox on & loosely fit the two righthand side bolts. 2- Put the carb into the airbox & tighten. 3- Pull the airbox/carb forward to fit onto the engine & tighten 4- Put left side airbox bolts in, loose fit. 5- Ensure carb connections are good at both end loosen & tighten as necessary. 6- Drop the tank in & then tighten up all the airbox bolts.
  11. Don't be a poof, Nige & get a SSDT entry put in. You can go to Spain when you're old & daft. Anyone who fancies a trip abroad should go to this Trial. It's a cracking event, well organised, demanding sections for all routes & a great ride round.
  12. Looking at some old Scott programmes he was down to ride an SWM in 1978 & then rode a Suzuki in the following 3 years.
  13. The promotional girl outfits look VERY nice
  14. The bad news is that map is last years. The event will run in reverse direction this year....well almost. So you will need to buy a Scott programme, which will be available locally in the weeks leading up to the event & on the start field on the day of the event. First rider starts at 9.00 am & it is advisable to get there early to soak up the atmophere. Everything then happens quickly & I'd advise probably only going to 2 groups & then the finish. In my opinion the best sections for spectators are Shaw Gutter (2 sections normally) & Surrender, these are the toughest spectator sections. For Scott mayhem probably Underbanks (first spectator group whichever way the course runs) is good, you'll see the whole field of 200 through here in less than an hour. The section's a set of steps with raised viewing to both sides, I went there last year & at one point there was 7 or so in the section at once. The first batch of Andys section photos are from here. http://www.trialscentral.com/cms/showartic...p?articleID=171 Alternatively you can get in touch with Richmond Motor Club & help on the day with Observing, number checking etc. (Great way of seeing those out of the way tough sections) Contact me on:- james AT richmondmotorclub.com

The mesh was there when I repacked a 2003 Pro exhaust a couple of months back.
  16. I think you are wrong here, it was the earlier 348's which had a habit of snapping in two. You are right that the 349 was crap it had the turning circle of a super tanker & was far too long.

I rode 2 years ago & would say it's a bit tougher than our 3 day. We've got numbers in the high 90's this time, we were up front scrubbing on the Saturday last time & I had a stinker.

http://www.richmondmotorclub.com is the current site, I'm supposed to be helping look after it but there isn't enough hours in the day.... Riders get final instructions, which includes a copy of the programme, about two weeks before the big day. This includes your number, petrol check detail etc etc.

Bring your bike & you can have a job for the day. Helping is probably the best way to see the Scott you don't have to face the traffic nightmare.

If you're on the Grouse moor after 2 - 3 hours it'll be pretty lonely. Route runs the other way this year.
