Addingham Moorside
I sent the petition off (1700 odd signatures) to him along with an offer of legal assistance and access to planning specialists which was kindly put up by a TC Member and have heard nothing. I'm told I shouldn't be surprised by this though.

Foot And Mouth
I should add, I'm not doing this for the sake of curtailing free speech. I have a number of people who support this website financially who make their living through Trials. The last thing they need is any kind of wildfire spreading of rumour and speculation that Trials is going to be hit by this and Trials are going to be stopped etc when currently it is absolutely unproven, unfounded and unknown. I've found out only too well how the Trials rumour mill and jungle drums work and I don't see any speculation or rumour on this subject as being productive for anyone. Topic closed.

Foot And Mouth
It was blowing out of proportion what is, at present, an isolated case and fell into "The sky's falling in" category. I also deleted an earlier reply of yours for the same reason. There is NOTHING, right now, to be concerned about in terms of Trials unless you live within the immediate vicinity of the affected farm. No events are threatened, the sport isn't threatened and there's nothing at all to be worried about until and unless we hear otherwise. Naturally people are concerned bearing in mind 2001, but until there is firm news there is no point in speculation. Tell me what's not factual about that?l

Foot And Mouth
This is a Trials website and not a place for the discussion of bovine political views, so yes. That's why it keeps disappearing.

Foot And Mouth
Woah guys. Before we start doing the old "The sky's falling" in bit and spreading panic and rumour around the Trials world, can we just take a step back from this. This is a confirmed case, but it is, at present, isolated. There is currently no reason to think it is widespread and unless and until we hear otherwise from DEFRA there is no reason for concern unless you Trial in the immediate vicinity of the outbreak. Restrictions on the movement of livestock are common in these cases as a precautionary measure. It does not automatically mean a repeat of 2001. Bear that in mind before posting scaremongering comments on these forums. I'll delete anything I see which blows what is currently an isolated incident out of proportion until we hear otherwise.

Monsieur Camozzi and I have had words before about him stealing photos from my website. I don't want him to have any excuse to have a go at me. Photos removed.

Graham Jarvis
Grimbo was a joy to watch on Sunday. No pressure on him and he looked like he was really enjoying himself. He does, however, need to commit to coming out on the lash with the rest of the Brits after the TdN this year instead of wussing out like he did last year

Unsung Hero Of Hawkstone
Obviously, laying on an event on the scale of Hawkstone is a massive venture and, whilst I don't know everything that's involved, I do get a good idea of the work that's needed due to working closely with Jake throughout the year. It's a mammoth task these guys take on and there are loads of people involved in making it happen. However, there is one guy who I think deserves a little bit of public recognition for the work he does as he's very much behind the scenes, but he has worked his a**e off for the past three years to make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible. Apart from his involvement in preparing the site and the sections, on "race day" he is absolutely everywhere to make sure bent markers are replaced, snapped section tape is sorted, loose rocks are removed lest they fall on spectators and generally doing all he can to ensure a successful and smooth event. Long after you lot had gone home I saw him out on his bike collecting marker flags and helping with the clear up. The general public don't get to see, or even think about that side of things, but Harry Lampkin - I salute you for all you've done to ensure the success of these events for the past three years.

Hawkstone Bad Weather, Good!
To clarify a few points. They are not "fairy lights". They are my "twinklies" and I love my twinklies Atomant is a one-pint wonder. He as much as sniffs a wine gum he falls over I was taking it easy. With no security guys on duty, I had to and was up at 7am this morning clearing up way before anybody else surfaced - and they only surfaced because Martin Lampkin was about talking in his usual soft tones! PS If you want to talk about who was totally wasted and had to be put to bed, ask Kinell

Mighty Atom
I made my congratulations personally earlier today, but would like to make a little comment here. I was in Gefrees in Germany in September 2005 when I saw a very proud (and slightly tearful!) Dad witness his son win his very first Junior World round. Today, it brought a lump to the throat to see that same proud Dad grab that same son as he crossed the finishing line as Junior WORLD CHAMPION. I'm really pleased not just for Michael, but for his folks and for Shaughan and his folks too. Nicer folk you couldn't hope to meet and I look forward to seeing The team of Atom and Menanddogs take on the big boys. They'll be dancing in the streets of Scarborough tonight!

Poor Slapshot - the only time anybody wants to talk to him is the week before the SSDT and the week before Hawkstone

Flood Aid?
Quote from Sky News: "As thousands of people spend another night without running water, the Queen has said she is "shocked and deeply concerned" by the flood devastation." C'mon then Queenie. We pay for you to live your life of luxury. Dip into your royal purse and all it's billions and chip in. I sure as hell won't be. My charity donations go solely to animal charities.
