I've got 2 97 Technos and both had really bad clutch drag. In addition to putting in ATF I was also advised to have a look at the clutch cages. Found there were deep grooves worn in which made the drag worse. I carefully filed the grooves out which improved the clutch drag (not quite cured) but also made the cages rattle a bit more. Maybe new cages would be better but for now the bikes are fine.

If I remember rightly when I bought mine, there's gasless models that can be used with gas - giving you the best of both worlds. I have a gas MIG and tried using it outside once - had to build a wind break around me to stop the gas being blown away. Regretted not getting the 'dual purpose' one. I'd advise getting the biggest one you can, they don't leap too much in price and the added benefit is worth it.

It's supposed to be, but I've looked at the schedule for the next 2 weeks and there's no sign of it .... yet.

When we went to the Rossendale Show last year there were some talented Bike Trials riders just spending all day showing off. It really was a treat to get up close and watch, I could have spent all day watching. Might be a good idea for Hawkstone ?

I spent ages trying to source one. Tried contacting Beta but no joy. Eventually, I approached someone selling same bike on ebay with manual. Got them to photocopy it first and sell be the copy. Recently there's been posts on here about contacting Beta directly. Tried it again in the hope of getting PDF copy but it didn't work for me. Hope this helps.

Thanks all. Andy, by posts on here it looks like the models do exist. Yeah, if you come across any then I think it would be a good idea to get some. I'm sure the shortage in the UK would make them good sellers. I'd certainly take 1 or 2 off your hands for a sensible price of course.

Rather than wrist bands what about simply something (anything) showing the TC logo ... be it a hat, T Shirt, Fleece, G-String etc. ???? Maybe even sell the items there, so - "buy something to gain entry" ? Would boost TC funds. Just a thought.
