  1. well fulltilt being an American that speaks volumes to me.!! on the overhand though me being from the uk I tend to be more level headed and logical . you seem to have a problem with china ??? why would that be. I on the over hand and being a gas gas owner do not care who produces the the parts bikes etc just as long as they do carry on producing them and that is the only concern anyone should have that the gas gas name continues. and china is the worlds leader in rail tech fact we in the uk lag far behind and due to gauging issues always will. next you will be telling me how you won WW2 in europe single handed [not personally I may add]
  2. and as one previous poster added you could get the parts built in china etc and please before the flak etc they have now produced not only the worlds fastest train speed link but the worlds fastest train. so I doubt a few trial bike components or trials bike are out of there league.maybe that sometime in the future an Asian company may be willing to take a punt on gas gas .
  3. seems a quite capable bike to me I would post a link or 2 but for some reason unable to .??? if you visit inch perfect trials website look up the videos of the owner putting the bike through its paces he seems to handle the bike no problems
  4. Some brilliant news! This bike has now been found and safely back with its owner Anne! Thank you very much to everyone who shared this post and spread the word, it really has made the difference! happy days she got her bike back posted on inch perfect trials facebook page about an hour ago
  5. ***STOLEN*** 2013 Beta Evo 125 Factory Replica (Anne Titley's bike) The bike was stolen from Wilpshire, Blackburn between 9am and 10am this morning by a white transit van! Please keep your eyes peeled and get this bike back! Ring 07729129107 or 07791046257 if you spot anything was posted on inch perfect trials facebook about an hour ago.
  6. I assumed going back to the rally car question they only needed to produce a max of 500 cars to qualify. even the the ultra rare escort RS1800 BDA[50 built I think ] etc were limited just to satisfy a so called production car criteria for the WRC . hence cars like the 6r4 lancia chevette HS/HSR lotus sunbeam etc bring mega bucks.
  7. no worries says within reason so you are right but as a treat would still say inch perfect trials brilliant day out . saying that I did fish the cam and ouse in a div 1 national match and went down a few times to practise on both places .
  8. inchperfecttrials in the trough of bowland near preston been a few times matts brilliant and so are his staff . look on his website there are courses to suit everyones ability and 1v1 small groups half day full days out you could want really.
  9. got agree nigel the French are very supportive of all there industrys especially cars etc any drive around france will prove it with the public plumping for home produced models more than any other by a mile.the worst car I ever had was a morris marina jesus Christ I had to change the bottom trunion and top ball joint they had seizied required large amounts of oxy propane a 4 foot strong arm and huge scaffolding tube. guess what !!! bstrds seized again three months later and the suspension collapsed. I have worked on 40+ year old locos that were not that bad. rember wrangler jeans in the thatcher years they were made in an Asian sweat shop shipped back to the uk to have the badge stitched on in Scotland so they could qualify as made in the uk. complete and utter bollox.
  10. have you had a look on plumtree fleabay etc oset 16 childs bike just gone up on plumtree 4 hrs ago but as I have no idea of the bikes etc whats what was wondering if its worth a look.
  11. well nigel you are right in regards to the transit being imported. and I do know craig is an engineer this is the sad fact of the uk now we are almost incapable of designing and building anything anymore. we were locomotive ,ship builders ,heavy engineering builders to the world but not any more. we also produced coal etc but now we import everything. in fact my politics are as red as red can be but the rot cancer set in long before the crooked bankers etc made it even worse.. enough politics. back on topic tranny vans loved across the uk by scrap tea leafs armed blaggers pikeys lewis Hamilton wonna be formula one white van drivers etc etc etc and certain trial bike gurus and trial bike owners.
  12. yeah you are mr Rushton seen picking scrap up [usually taken before its lost] tarmacking and selling pegs roofing [i heard there was a cheaper quote to redo the Sistine chapel than your quotes] you pikey git. the patron saint of pikey robbing *******s.!!!!! :irish: only joking bud but you do have pikey van
  13. trannys have tended to be built all across Europe with the parts being the same not to sure if final assembly is in the uk or shipped fully built. as long as there ok that's all that matters .it don't stop them being the number 1 seller though.
  14. ask craig Rushton he posts regular on the forums he transports his montesa in his all the time so he will give you information dimensions etc
  15. enjoyed my day sat with you and craig and made another friend but cant recall your name. [sorry bud but very helpful and knowledgeble and look forward to seeing you again] me and craig couldn't help but admire your ossa what a bike sweet as a nut and what a bargain as well. will see you again in a fortnight but I have banged my wrist and need to do a service on the gasser. nice meeting you and enjoyed our day only spoiled by my ratchets failing 2 of them and having to stop to replace them. catch you laater and look forward to seeing you again..
  16. try cliviger £5 a day near holmes chapel a few trials lads go including a few who post on here and are 50 ish and bit younger know doubt a few lads will post on here helping you out and I am due to go again a week on sat. with a couple of guys of here. happy trialing.
  17. i underwent cardio surgery last year [valve surgery] so can offer some advice etc in this matter or there are other members who have undergone various types of heart surgery bypass etc.who can put your mind at ease also advice on drugs like blood thining drugs warfarin etc and what to avoid in regards to the type trailing you do an example would be rocks jumping on off stuff i would be very carefull as heavy contact between your body rocks etc could lead to internal bleeding. as you have not been more specific in regards i can only guess and assume its linked to your heart in some form. anyways happy riding and dont let it hold you back. when i spoke to my cardiologist after surgery he was very supportive and said do what your body capable of but be carefull.and take your time.
  18. I have noticed the bike stalls when in gear with the clutch engaged I did turn idler screw down a bit but returned it to approx postion when I bought the bike is this seems to have cured it but is this common to the bike.? Another question is it ok to use pre mixed fuel I did about a month ago it is stored in plastic fuel cans I assume it would deterioate in the bike when not in use and I tend to fire the bike up once a week when not in use and let it run for about half an hour and pottering about in the garden on it. Thanks for any replys in avance.
  19. Are you still able to use your towbar to tow as well as carrying a bike or just carry a bike or tow a trailer but not the two together I run a 4x4 jeep . As I never seen the carry frame for a bike please excuse if its idiotic what I have asked and just say no. I only ask as I go to france every summer and being able to take a bike appeals .
  20. the problem I have always had will is I will always be in AF for the rest of my life there is no cure except prescribed medication like beta blockers and drug thinning drugs like warfarin. you can have your heart stopped and restarted but this especially as I have been in AF a number years has a low success rate. which means I am on warfarin for life not a problem till you injure yourself hence being very carefull in what I attempt in trial biking rocks a def no no.
  21. 1/ is ok to clean the bike while it is still running quick power wash get rid of the mud etc it is only a low powered washer and I just use washing up liquid to clean down I do not stand to close therefore not damaging the decals etc. I ask this in regrds to water entering the engine cases or carb. 2/ what is the max amount of time would you let a bike stand before firing it up and just letting it tick over etc how long would you leave it running and also does it have any adverse effects buy not running it under load.?? bike is a gas gas 125txt pro racing 2004. I am a first time owner so any advice info greatly appreciated.
  22. your right dabster even though I have low cholesterol level [3.9] was still given statins and still take them. like I said I started back work in sept and regarded myself fit an active as I work in heavy engineering [still do] the AF creates problems when its cold but seeing as I spent the last 9 weeks on nights on a loco fuel point I seemed to cope ok. the strangest things like standing up to quick or bending over looking up for extended periods trigger strange effects. but the funniest was on XMAS day as I was totally unaware the wife had bought me a bike [stashed at her mum and dads]I saw it wrapped in tinsel etc in the garage and nearly blacked out sufficient to say I spent the rest of xmas day gawping at it but waited a couple of days till the excitement had calmed down before I attempted to ride it. I then flooded it had to take the plug out and dry it in the oven. with all the excitement etc I triggered a migrane attack which lasted a few hours which meant it was 4 days later I rode it. what a balloon head.!!!!!
  23. a stronger tablet like diclofenc [check spelling] may be better but take a painkiller as well better off speaking to your doctor as he will prescribe the best combo of medications to help as cortisone injections tend only to be given as a last resort and you are limited up to a max of three to the effected joint then its surgery. guy I work with who loves the gym will testify to that.
  24. it would be pointless to go any bigger the 125 is perfect in regards to power weight for handling learning etc I am 6-2 15+ stone and pulls me no problems it would be down right stupid to go any bigger at the moment and to be honest the thought of climbing rocks jumps etc would be out my league in regards to the fact I use warfarin in my treatment and it is a lifelong prescribed drug as I have an irregular heartbeat which is how I found out the valve was leaking in the first place. my condition was put down to infection or virus related as I had the angiogram to check my arterys etc not a nice procedure believe me. one thing I have discovered is never eat a big meal or intake to much fluid and jump straight back on the bike as it creates motion sickness you wouldn't believe [i experienced this on a trials experience day] also ice cold drinks trigger the brain freeze from hell which gives a stroke like sensation . but once done never repeated believe me.!!! I only created this topic in regards to anyone who had undergone same treatment or was awaiting it to say if a guy who never had rode a trial bike can take it up and become hooked on the sport even after heart surgery anyone can. all I will say its a major operation and effects young and old alike it was a shout out to anyone who has maybe under going the operation or had under gone it and left the sport you can carry on and if you have any concerns speak to your cardiology team or surgeon physio recovery team etc. believe me I wouldn't anything that could or would result in injury to myself or anyone else who was with me I am not that stupid .as a matter of precaution I would in my humble opinion suggest the use of chest protection to avoid impact injuries to the chest but also this depends on the course your riding and obstacles your negocating I have about 10 to 12 accumulated hrs on riding a trial bike and intend to accumulate many many more.
