  1. On it's sump is the same as balancing (unless you've stalled - then it would be a 5), so it would be a one if he just stopped on the sump.
  2. There's always the possibility that someone local could pick you up from local train station or summat. Shrewsbury is the nearest train station. You'd have a job to get right there with public transport. Put it this way though, I'm sure something could be arranged if you were stuck. Probably easier and cheaper to find someone from Yorkshire to share fuel with though. Ask around in Yorkshire, and if you're stuck I know we could sort something down here.

Apparently there is loads of room to go thinner, and still be thicker than that of the Sherco. Presumably that will mean slightly more capacity and even less weight. I know a lot of work has gone in to this. Julian was talking about shrinkage. The final product is about 15mm shorter than the mold, as the material shrinks as it cools. Trying to get that to fit nicely must have been a nightmare. Work of art.

I thought I remembered something similar, but from a while ago I think. You've got a Sherco like me Ham2. No problem there, and much thinner than the current Wiggy version.
  5. Will take a while at my upload speed, and TC may well overwhelm my website bandwidth availability, but it should be here shortly: Clicky Here Sam's little bruv Tom was doing some nice hopping around at Nant Mawr today as well, especially as he was hopping down on to packed down snow: Tom Oliver Would you believe Tom is only 3 years old? No me neither. He's 10 i think.

That answers the question I had then - will they fit the bigger Gassers or were these made to fit above the 125 barrel? Dabster/Bigwig available for comment? One size fits all? Or different versions?

Couple more pics. I believe there is a possibility of putting them to market through Shirty, if there is sufficient interest. I think there will be. No idea why Gasser go with alloy if these can be bigger, lighter and less troublesome.

Noticed Wiggy's bike today had a fancy looking high capacity fuel tank, so I grabbed a few pics, and asked Julian about it. I think this one is a one-off at the moment (apart from the purple prototype in the picture). Edit: Apparently Dabster's got one as well, so at least three of them. Even with the thickness of the material used at the moment (much thicker than a Sherco) it is already 200g lighter than an existing GasGas fuel tank. One worth thinking about for Scotland? Or, just for those Gassers with liquid metal holding their alloy tank together
  10. Snowing again, so keep yer fingers crossed. Looks like a toughy! I am currently in training What kind of training son? Srongbow training sir. I can still type, so I'm a bit worried I've not had enough yet to prepare.
  11. Sun's come out, we're looking good.
  12. I was wondering whether someone would come up with a reason for not leaving the clutch in. In the cable days it would simply have been that it would stretch the cable, as well as the compressed spring thing. Seems a reasonable reason. Unless it's really bad, I'd say just leave it, push the bike off and clunk in to gear. Second gear with clutch in and put both brakes on lightly. Not likely to have any great effect on your brake wear, but clears it in seconds usually.
  13. Snow coming down fairly well this morning in 'sunny' Oswestry.
  14. GasGas looks good Beta looks good Scorpa looks good Sherco - they did it with a dodgy stencil set Doh!
  15. In that case, no, I've gone Just seen your mail. I'll have to let you know for definite tomorrow. Have to check with the boss as she's starting work Can I claim fuel money for the journey? It's about 24p (each way).
  16. Dorset????????????? Just realised what you said After a hard trial Oswestry will be far enough for me - 4.5 miles on Sunday What sort of drugs does it take to get you to Dorset? Pro-plus and Red Bull can only do so much.
  17. Is there an airport in Dorset? Oh yeah - Bournmouth.
  18. Could the ladies championship not be teamed up with anything else? Like the A&B nationals for instance? Probably upset someone by saying that, but in my opinion it doesn't undervalue it, just makes it more financialy viable and worth the effort for a club to run it, more worthwhile reporters making the journey etc etc. I'm not even saying that it would have to be the A&B national in particular, just something to bring along some bulk of entries. Bad idea??
  19. Taking your tyre to be changed is like asking for directions. A real man won't do it no matter how much pain and heartache it's going to save him. Many a night I've stayed up until midnight the night before a trial, trying to get a tyre off the rim, or back in to the bead, bruised wrists, blistered fingers, aching knees No amount of hassle is too much to avoid the trip to Kwikfit

Get the chain/sprockets. You can ride until the tyres bald, but at some point the chain and sprockets will cause you problems.
  21. I lost my keys once when I was younger and the AA were very helpful, but not sure I'd call them out if I lost my wife But yeah, perhaps the pub/club is a bad idea. Would need a lot of thinking about.
  22. Just thought I'd start a thread where people could make suggestions for improvements which would make Hawkstone even better than it was last year. I know a lot of the organisers are on here, and I've no doubt if we have some valid suggestions they will make every effort to improve things. My first one, from an observers point of view would be to rope off the spectator area. Probably our biggest hassle of the day was stopping spectators coming round the back and ending up stood between the ends flags etc. Not particularly the spectators fault, it's natural to want to get a decent view. Maybe try to separate the sections a little more, if at all possible - Around 8,9,10 was very crowded as they were right next to each other. Would be better if spectators can get to at least 180 degrees of the section.
  23. Know what you mean. I've spent ages thinking "I can't do this forever". Waiting for something else to come along. CCNP, CCDP, Voice Specialist, Firewall Specialist, now studying for CCIE lab, but heart's not really in it, which will probably be my downfall. I've been thinking about running my own pub/club for ages. Might be like a kiddy in a sweetshop though. Or, God forbid, it puts me off drink
  24. Sorry, you're disqualified for cigarette sponsorship.
