  1. Not a hint of a societe generale type indiscretion then?
  2. I'm enjoying this repartee. Keep it up chaps.
  3. Horiatio, what happened to Todotrial? After years of being greeted by the pictures of Dougie and Charles, they're gone! I'm going to need counselling. Nah, nice new home page Horiatio.
  4. Add a bit of "Blood, sweat & tears" and "Booker T & the MGs" to that. Love your work Charlie
  5. I'm stuffed if I know how blokes like Saunders cover the rear brake. Every time I do it and ride over anything rougher than a tar road I end up coming to an abrupt halt. Practice I suppose. I see young Steve isn't covering the front brake in the top pic.
  6. Probably but not half as insensitive as Andys comment.
  7. If understand you correctly you're saying that the choice is limited tody in comparison to the past? Not as far as I can see. In the '70's you had a choice of Bulto, Montesa, Ossa, Yamaha, Suzuki and Kawasaki (I've ommitted Honda 'cause they were crap), in the 80's you had Fantic, SWM, Montesa, Beta and a bunch of small Spanish brands (Merlin, Mecatechno), the 90's wasn't too different to today when we have Beta, Gas Gas, Montesa, Sherco and Scorpa. So the choice isn't the best but it ain't far off.
  8. Ah, my bad. Visions of Fort Bill high street littered with bits of Xispa.
  9. Jaan, there's a bunch of guys in Spain who supply new rubbers for 348s. Off hand I can't remember who they are. You could start with ClassicTrial. Ditto for the airfilter. Oil, auto transmission fluid (gearbox and clutch were, I think, common). ATF for front suspension too.
  10. For general Gasser help try: Gas Gas Forums
  11. Seems he's quite a character whoever he is.
  12. Isn't the star in the "one more" vid Amos?
  13. Thanks but like PeterB I'll stick to 50:1. The sound of the catastrophic failure of a big end is not something I'll forget easily.
  14. That wasn't a splatter. Just normal step technique. In a splatter your front wheel doesn't touch the obstacle but goes over it, so you need a bigger kicker.
  15. Nutter, complete nutter. Definite candidate for "Jackass".
  16. I downloaded two versions of the same building in Google Earth (the skytower if you must know) and the one rendition is junk so I want to kill it. How can I do this?
  17. Your stance isn't too far of. Straighten your back a little and you'll find that your knees will automatically bend. You don't need to bend your knees when on flat ground. Give it a little time and you'll find that your stance will come right on its own.
  18. Great riding spot. Thanks for sharing.
  19. RR, IKB, I think that is very possibly the case when a rider starts to use hopping in the real world. But as that rider becomes more proficient and the sections favour hopping that rider will begin to pull ahead of more traditional riders. The sections around here (Auckland, Hamilton, Taraunga, New Zealand) can be ridden traditionally, but if you can hop it helps you onto a better line. Get your hopping right and you'll have an advantage.
  20. I thought this might interest you. It illustrates the political interference that the police have to put up with: Daily Mail Article on the Plod
  21. How many did they bin filming that?
  22. I liked the Enfield green and I like Tonys purple.
