The route has been tested with all makes of bikes and there is not a fuel problem. If you leave a can at Wilkinsons garage you will pass this twice during the course of the trial.
The are very few places that your support vehicle wiil see you where the actual sections are.
Public roads are used to access the sections but then the competitors go across moors and come out on public roads elswhere on the course.
Dont worry about fuel.

Remember Kinell if you win on the green route you could be classed as an Intermediate in the NW Centre. That will mean that when you ride in Yokshire you will have to enter as an Intermdieate.

Who is Jan Cardinaels? I see he is competing in the Colin Appleyard British Championship this year.
There are 17 named ridesr for the c/ship course
Bradford Trials

Just a thought? What about 3 rounds as the c/ship is now. ie on a small compact course. 2 courses maked out, plus three more rounds on a national course, preferance given to riders competing on the harder course. eg The Travers, The White Rose, The Colemore Cup to name a few.

I think you will find that it is a European Parliment ruling. Nothing to do with the FIM or ACU.
It has been phased in over the last few years. If the EU had there way it would have been brought in a couple of years ago, with no phasing in period. i.e. All A & B classes 250cc Dec 31st, 125cc Jan1st.
Trouble is there are some dealers who are selling machines above 125cc to B class riders knowingly that the purchaser cannot ride them in competition.
If I was spending that sort of money on my son I would be looking for advice from a governing body or a local club.

'Duty of Care' the latest buzz phrase. Everyone has a duty of care what ever they do in work or pleasure.
When you are sat in a traffic jam do you think about the persons in the car behind sucking in your exhaust fumes? Do you turn of your engine? There is no guidance in the Highway Code. Should the Department of Transport have put guidance in?
You are in a lift, someone farts and the smell offends you. Should there lift manufactors and owners put a sign on the door with the words 'we the manufactorors and owners have a duty of care and request that you do not fart in this lift. The smell may offend others. For those of you who are offended by smells we suggesdt you take the stairs'.
MarK T - How would you police it. 5 marks lost for to much exhust fumes before entering the section plus what you lose on the sections.
10 marks lost for having a smoky bike plus lighting up a fag plus what you lose in the section.
An extra point lost for making to much smoke on a hill climb.
How do you measure the smoke. A smoke alarm at each section.
What if the ACU guidelines was that competitors must wear breathing apparatus whilst sat in a queue.
Maybe the ACU and/or clubs should buy breathing apparatus and issue them to the riders when they sign on. Non wearing of the said item will result in a 50 mark loss.
Come on get real.

Just heard a rumour that the centre are going to stop trials riders from having a fag between sections. Cant say who it was, but my auntie knows the lady who is going out with the cousin of the person who said it. Has anyone else heard the story.
PS Dont published the persons name in your reply.

Spent today - 19/12/04 - in the wood and have plotted the sections (in my head) . The clubman sections are going to be very steady with just a couple that will sort out a winner. No big rocks but plenty of moss.
The expert course slightly harder with a couple of sections where they will need to stop (will not be penalised if they keep their feet on the pegs) and steady themselves for the steep climb. One section will be technical, again I expect a few will have to stop to line themselves up. (No it is not a 3m rock face)
The big hill climb will be in, plus maybe another not quite as long but a little steeper.
It will be marked out as a spectator friendy course. 7 of the sections can be seen from the track which goes down into the wood.
Start time is 10:30am.
A collection will be made on behalf of Martin House - A hospice for children and young people. So dont forget you loose change.
Just a few places left so get you entry in.

At our trial this weekend (a warm up to the Boxing day event, which is now nearly full) there were 95 riders using the public highway to access the sections. The RTA insurance was offered to all. One person took it up.
The other 94 competitors were road legal??
What insurance company are they using?? Let me know then I can inform anyone who asks the question ' Insurance which company?'

Stop watch?? 2 observers per section??

2001 Dougie Lampkin 12, Martin Crosswaite 20, ben hemingway 27 Heavy snow freezing conditions

2003 Shaun Morris 21 Freezing rain then bright.
Not sure where Doug lost his other 15 in 2001??
The trial is being marked as the World C/ship rules. The sections on the expert course will be plotted so that the riders and observers can give an opinion on what THEY think of the rules. They will not be world c/ship sections.
Comments recieved every year from the top riders are the same. They are taking the p*** out of each other.
The Clubman course will again be a steady ride round.
And yes we will be in the pub by 2:30pm at the latest.
This year there will be a collection for the Martin House Hospice so bring along your loose change.

Alexander Forbes via the ACU allow clubs to offer 1 event RTA insurance for trials that use public roads to get between sections. The cost is about

Look out for the Egg man, Man in silly hat and , Adolf.

Is it correct that some of the top riders were allowed to ride a section twice because the observer gave them a five. I understand that when they went to the next section someone told them that they had been given a five they returned and were allowed to ride the section again.
