  1. Yes it was on the Bradford website regarding 'reverting back to TSR22a' rules for the 2007 BC. There were concerns from some of the riders who rode our Boxing Day event that this was to be. I asked the question 'was it true' and also stated that if any one who rode the 2006 series and did not want to change back, to put there concerns in writting to the ACU and Clubs. AS John as stated the rules will be duscussed sometime in February with the event organisers, importers and riders. I hope that those who want either a 'change' or 'stay as we' and cannot attend the meeting will have sent thier thoughts to the Trials committee. Question to 'Scorpa3, PHB, SDC and YSB' Did you ride any of the the Colin Appleyard BC series in 2006? Did you actually observe a round? and did your club put on a round? If so what was your personal thoughts, not here say?
  2. Have a look at ours http://www.bradfordtrials.co.uk
  3. Check the ACU handbook for max engine size. He will not be able to compete on a Machine that is above the ACU regs. Check out Scarborough Club.
  4. Looks like another moaner. Has a free day and complains. Jamie, I take it that you told Sandifords that it could have been done better? Did they agree? Did you offer your expert advice on how it should have been done? I doubt it, just another moaner. What would you have done to make it better? OK the helemts should have been worn!! but surely that did not make it a bad day.
  5. Reading the majority of comments one of the concerns is the numbers entering the trial, 160= is you have a clubman route etc What about the damage to the land? Not just the trial route but the parking area the lanes around which the back up vans block. The sport is now in the situation where the green brigade etc want to stop us enjoying ourselvs riding about the countryside. The larger the entry the more damage to the land/area. Just the evidence the the anti bike brigade need to stop our sport. Maybe there are to many c/ships and Nationals. What about only 6 rounds of all c/ships, including Youth ( The ACU along with the clubs interested to decide where and when. (Yes I belive there are enough people in the clubs who can work together with the ACU to sort out) Those of the clubs who dont get a c/ship round can run thier own National trial (If they have one) with 1/2/or 3 courses if required. The CoC can then make the couse as easy or as hard as he/she likes. The riders will then support the trial that he can ride without causing himself damage or if he/she requires can have a challange. Dont forget to continue to use land we HAVE to look after it. 100+ riders in the National parks or around a village on a wet Sunday does damage the land. It then makes it harder when re-applying for the next year. 100+ riders makes the club finances healthy but with land becoming scarce to run our sport what good is the money?
  6. Here we go again ACU bashing by the ones who know bets??

  10. Channel 5 was brilliant coverage. French football that is!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. All the entry knew that it was 14 sections 3 laps. They were informed Saturday prior to practice and Sunday prior to the start. No one asked for a time extension. The C O C was satisfied that the time was going to be OK. Our club will be recommending that a time limit be put on the 1st lap at the BC forum held prior to the 2007 c/ship

Clubman??? What is a clubman. Looking at the Lakes 2 day results the majority of the top 20 on the Clubman route were Inter or Exp in thier own Centres. Are they pot hunting?? In many post the quiestion has been asked What standard do you have to be to be a Clubman. No one yet has come up with an answer. Before anyone suggests this is not an ACU problem, the clubs running these type of events have to sort it out some how. I hope that Wrighty keeps it o one course. It is a great trial.
  13. As Stuart has stated earlier a lot of unpaid time by 4 members of the Club to mark the sections out the 7 days prior to the trial. The 4 club members were on site at 10:00am every morning and leaving to travell home around about 5:00pm. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday most of the day was horizontal rain with winds upto 50mph. They then travelled home (on average a 85mile round trip) The Friday was a little better until late PM when again it rained and the winds reachd 70mph during the night. On the Saturday morning the sections on the Gragrave side of the hill had to be re-flagged due to flags/tape etc being destroyed. A hell of a lot of hard work. (this was on top of the weekends prior to the trial striming sections and pathways out) All was finished by about 3:00pm on the Saturday just in time for the practice lap. 5:30 Stuart and his team listened to the riders observations and his team went and re-postioned a couple of flags on some sections. They completed the modifications by about 6:00pm. The above is not a moan but a reality check for some of you who think the flags etc plant themselves. Our Club along with 6 others across the country have worked hard to put on a Championship worthy of calling the overall winner '2007 British Solo Trials Champion'. Why do we do it?? because we love the sport. Yes, the rushing around on the final part of the trial did result in higher scores than the Bradford team anticiapated. The high scores did make the trial look a lot more difficult than is was. No complaints on Saturday practice about the time for the folowing day when they were informed there was 14 sections . No one asked for an increase in the time limit on the Sunday morning prior to the trial starting. It only needed a spoksman. Maybe the 2007 series there should be a time limit on the 1st lap, say 50% of the overall time. Yes in this modern age the results were slow being broadcast but we were knackered.
  14. Because I am busy and have more important things to do like send the results out to the actual competitors and the people who assisted on the day. Moaning sods like you can wait. They are now on the clubs site. A slip pf the index finger linked it to the wrong document
  15. Results are on www.bradfordtrials.co.uk

  17. The Profumo Affair, followed by The Great Train Robbery.
  18. Changing the name of a company aint cheap, and will it make people think any different? The monies involved could be spent in better ways. Having a truck travelling across Europe from April till September. Then what do we do with it. Leave it in mothballs until the next WTC the following year. Where will it be stored? Who will be driving it? Will the driver be an employee of the ACU? Has any of you yet priced up a costs of running this vehicle. Who is going to pay for the running costs, the people who use it or all members of the ACU. Who will decide who has use of the facillities., just championship contenders or will anyone who is a member of the governing body who happens to be 'having a go' that weekend. Has anybody asked the importers to put in a few quid to fund it? Someone in an earlier post wants a breakdown of the trials income and how it is spent. Even suggested there is a discussion on how it is spent. Havent we all elected persons on to the T&E committee to look after our sport, including how to spend the money. If you feel that strongly put yourself up as a Centre delegate go to the management meetings, make yourself know and have ago and geting elected onto the committee.
  19. this place is just down the road, Rough Holden / Howden Wood, Turn of the A629 onto the A 6034 towards Silsden; in abt 1 ml (immediately past canal bridge) turn R into Howden Road. Continue for about 1ml climb a steep hill and Howden Wood is on your left. Rough Holden Farm is on your right. Rough Holden Farm can be used for practice. Ring Ian on 01535 656659
  20. TSR22a in the ACU handbook is the rule where you are docked a 1 for stopping with both feet still on the footrests. The rules that are used at WTC are different. If you stop with both feet still on the footrests you will not be penalised any marks. There is nothing in the ACU hanbook about the WTC method of marking because it does not apply to our governing body. Is 'Rappers' talking about TSR22a or WTC rules. I dont know because I haven't purchased the paper yet.
  21. What can I do next Sunday?? Enter the Allan Jefferies Trial. Still some places left. regs available from this web site (UK News) or from the clubs web site www.bradfordtrials.co.uk
