  1. Miserable bugger! Of course you renew it every year. I'm a Scot and I part with my sub every year.... Big John
  2. I am led to belive it is the rear end of one Steve Colley, God knows why a Highland 'Lassie' (that's Scots for Girlie) would use a male photo as an avitar? But there you go... Big John
  3. Towards the end of this month I believe! Big John
  4. Absolutely correct Dabster, Friday 1st May and Saturday 2nd May for the Pre-65 Scottish. Monday 4th until Saturday 9th May for the Scottish Six Days. Big John
  5. The Honda Gollner was a conversion, carried out by Bob Gollner, dealer based at Waterlooville. It effectively turned the twin-shock TLR Honda into a mono-shock bike. I think Chris Griffen rode one at the time. I know a guy in Scotland who has one (g4321 on here), they are quite rare beasts. Big John
  6. He's actually on the right track here. Inverness along with Edinburgh & District have UEM status for their Pre65 trials so that we can have european riders at the events. The events therefore appear in the UEM calendar. Classes will be for twinshock and Pre65 bikes. Date as per my signature below! Big John
  7. Don't bother, sell me the wheel, I need one! Big John
  8. Results_Adult_Clubman_National_Craiglash_14th_Sept_2008.pdf Results above, thanks to the webmaster! OK Bill will do! Big John
  9. Cracking photos Bill! Can I use a few for SACU use please? I have the results but can't upload them as they are in Excel! Sorry. Big John
  10. Splendid, best news of the year. Well done to the efforts of all those involved in sorting this out! Big John

    My Honda Rtl

Don't worry about me, I have no intentions of buying any more bikes (including RTL's for that matter). Big John
  13. Happy Birthday Outlaw Dave! Here's to many more of them. Your friend in Scotland... Big John
  14. No they did not match. As far as I know, the Honda motors were supplied by Honda RSC (Racing Service Centre, the fore-runner of HRC). Engine numbers did not match frame numbers at all as the Seeleys were SHT-XXXX numbered and motors were RS200TEXXXX Big John
  15. I got a copy today from HLS, haven't managed to watch it all through, but what I did look at was very good indeed. Well done to Bigfoot and Fugly. Big John Oh yeah, nice touch Led Zeppelin - Kashmir!
  16. Hi Ross, Was planning Kendal this year but I'm a bit busy at work at the moment, so can't manage it! I have heard before that the Kendal Classic is a very good event, pass the word round when you are there that the guys should mark the Highland Classic 2DT at Alvie date in their diary for next year! Big John
  17. Good photo of you there as well Ross, hope you will come back to Alvie next year? Big John
  18. All the best to Richmond Club for the three day. I had hoped to get down to it this year but due to other committments, not possible. See you all at the Scott in October though! Big John
  19. Was your Dad a fan of Selly Oak produced motorcycles then and if so are you the first girl to be named after a bike? After all "Mercedes" automobiles were named after a girl!!! Big John
  20. Yip he's back and from what I saw of him riding a 2T Beta last Sunday, he has lost none of his fine trials riding skills! I watched (and spoke) to Tony at the Huddersfield Falcons Club championship trial. I was "assistant observer" at section 2 (a graded section) with my friend and host Nigel Greenwood; and Tony S actually rode the graded section feet up! It was no mean feat either as it was a absolute pig of a section which had a huge great rut in the middle, the depth was up to filler cap height on a Sherco! Tony eyed it up on lap two and wound the Beta up to peak revs and launched the thing, he jumped over the rut and literally flew up the section! Brilliant! Nice to see an old hand return just to enjoy himself. I don't think he knows about Trials Central though! Big John
  21. I've seen some big girls in my time but that's got to be photoshopped isn't it? Big John
  22. Thanks for the kind words about the Highland Classic 2 Day guys! I didn't lay any of it out as I was unable to do so due to work committments that week, so I am not claiming any glory for it. For next year, we will hopefully allow twin-shock riders of a "lesser" ability to ride the B route, leaving the A route a bit harder for the better twin-shock competitors, that's about the only changes required really. We could do with a few more riders in both the Pre-65 and twinshock classes, just to make it more worthwhile, we are getting there, the event is gaining in populaity and from the comments I heard, there are some who will definately bring a mate with them next year. Good to see Ken O'Brien up from Oxford and the Irish contingent; "Danman" and of course my friend "Greeves" from Madrid! I have heard that there will be a "feature" on Todo Trial website about Alvie soon! See date at the bottom of my posting for 2009, all being well. Cheers, Big John
  23. Which side is the tank marked on? Clutch or throttle side as you sit on the bike? Could the colour be a "duck egg" shade of blue? Big John
