  1. Guys!!!Guys!!! All abit serious for here, now do the clicky thing below, take the day off tomorrow and fire that Trials bike bike up in the morning for a days ride, all will be better MMMMMMMM clicky thing isnt working on here ???? Admin: Yes it does Clicky Here
  2. Cheers mate, what area are you from?,
  3. BVM test day would be favourite, depends where you are though. I think it may be quite soon, maybe November give them a call
  4. Doogle, I am seriously going to try a 200 this year at a test day, never ridden one but have a nasty feeling I may have been riding something way over my head for years. Looking forward to it
  5. Eddie, yer! 4th gear flat out on the 270 is something to behold, legs a flapping in the wind and blurred vision, theres no other bike that will loop out faster on the market, 270 for me next year as well
  6. Plus there is 20cc's more fuel to spill on the floor from the Mikuni,
  7. I have the 270 for one reason only really, it makes the excuse of "well i could nt get up that hill because I've got a 250 " redundant, beleive me I would use it alot. The 270 does seem to have more grunt though which I do like but realisticly I think I would ride a 250 better or even a 200 possibly. Neveready on here, did say on his first trial on Sunday on his new 250 that it did nt pull him up a hill as he expected low down, sure he will just get used to it though rather than a problem.

Eddie, Take it from me I know, as you get older you learn to appreciate and prioritise whats important to you and your life, hang on to the things you cherish the most they may not be there always. Dont ever take anything or anyone for granted and treat each day as if it was your last. ..... .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Should have fired that F***er up Saturday morning mate

Thanks for the info Eddie, keep us updated on how the bike rides and delivery from the motor, amazed you have nt been out on it yet? I usually have to stop on the way back home from picking it up
  11. About 20 odd miles mate
  12. mmmmmmm you blo0dy told me that noise was back pressure from the exhaust in Wales
  13. Heath, I use the holding pressure technique, usually 10 mins before every trial did nt see Ryan Young using that though in his vid
  14. Pete gald you only saw me on two and three then mate, 1-4-5-6-7-8-9-and 10 were another story? Well done Alan if he only dropped one on the B route, looks way to much like hard work on the BSA. Looking forward to the John Macc next weekend then Petes trial on the 29th. Neveready on here had a good ride on Steve saunders bike which he picked up Friday and a stunning ride on the very tight stump/wall section 4, probably one of the best rides of the day(Git!!!) Had a barry moment on lap three up the big root hill climb section 10 where the bike loopped out and smacked me in the side of the head. Had two imediate fives on the next two sections and had to have a little sit down for ten minutes to recover conciousness I think. Still a great trial though, well done guys Staight back up to the dishes after the trial to finish the day off with me mates Ralph and Dad
  15. Thanks to everyone involved today and observers, great trial and good sections throughout, only a couple of Geoff Capes ones but all ridable. Held at Saintbury Quarry which runs a group for the Colmore National as well, nice and grippy for a change and met Pete aka Scorpa3 on here, hes running a trial there on the 29th this month (Stratford on Avon MCC) Pretty sure Steve Workman won it on the Honda and may have only dropped one or two all day and I dont think I worried him in the slightest. Little surprised to see how quickly most of the clubman completed the trial, I had done the first lap and many had finished all four? did nt think I was too slow and finished in plenty of time? is this the norm?

  18. sirhc, errrrrrrr best kill this one off before it gets into too much detail mate, Fag is cigarette here, lifting shirts is what you said
  19. Five quid was more than I had expected for a first offer, but yer I could live with that for more sections or more manned ones.
  20. OTF, low observer numbers effects many clubs, some more than others but i have been to trials where only half the boards are manned. Makes for a bad day in my view. I would definitely like to see observers being paid for standing out in the rain and snow, getting cold, and some instances having their judgement and parental details questioned. Anybody here like to post how much they would be willing to pay extra on their entry fee to help make sure all the sections are manned at a trial. As you said if at least travel expenses could be subsidised it may make the difference between a section manned or not. Don
  21. Doogle, Colmore is our nearest national as well so we may well be doing it next year. First time for me but most of the other lads have had a go. Yer its tough especially if wet or icey but a good trial never the less. Entries did seem low last year, maybe because it was nt a Novagar round and as you say it would be good to have a clubman route if possible. If we both do it and its too hard I know a good pub just up from one of the groups, we can hide in there for the afternoon. I am sure Pete will post a reply to you soon about the event
  22. OTF, nothing wrong with posting any views you have here, whether you think it will p*** people off or not, its what this forum is for. Been to a couple of trials in the past where the club has 5 sections in the morning, then a short dinner break and the next five sections or so in the afternoon. Works really well, and you only need half the observers or gives the option of one lot of observers doing the morning and another group in the afternoon. Personally I would like to see observers being paid in some way, may just tip the balance and we may get more trials with 20 sections rather than 8 -10 and that should increase entries and thus more money for the sport through levy's. More sections more work for clubs, but more entries and members may open up more helpers into the club at the same time. If as above the trial is split into two halves, 8-10 in the morning and the others in the early afternoon could increase clubs entries quite abit. I did not ride in a very local trial last Sunday mainly due to knowing it would be 8-10 sections and four laps, at least two of the sections would have been subs as well. Shame on me for maybe not going to observe instead but thats part of the problem as well. Most of us dont get as much time as we would like to ride and observing means no ride on a Sunday. Maybe if riders observed at a trial and the payment was made by letting the observers who wanted to have a ride at the venue afterwards it may encourage some to take it up. Most trials around here will not allow riding after the event has finished, but if observers could stay on for a few hours I would certainly give it a go. Pete, if you see Ralph marking for me on the 29th at Saintbury take the board off him! he will be giving me fives all day
  23. sirhc, I wont say but it has nothing to do with lifting shirts, if you know what I mean
  24. As soon as I can get signed in to my account I am going to ask him to send some pics to me of him wearing it on his nearest street corner "innit" as the picture on Ebay is not very good, I will mail them on to you barry if he goes for it
