  3. Skid, on the add reply or new post page scroll down and you should see a File attachments, click browse and it will show you your own pic files on your computer, double click the file and then press add this attachment. Wait for it to load and then click add reply. The file size is limited so you may have to compress the picture or make it smaller Hope this helps

    Beta 4-stroke

Andy you and I know updating a web site with a few lines of specs and pics takes about 30 mins tops, not even a mention of the bike anywhere on the site even on the news section. Dont need any press machines to back them up on this one. Very poor as you say, its companies like this who moan the most when sales are down etc and wonder why. As far as I know speaking as a big Beta fan I still have no idea of the cost of the bike, the availabilty, waiting times and when its going to be here, and expect even John does nt either. (Must be pulling his ******* hair out) Best they sort this info out soon before most of their potential customers buy a bike before it arrives. I am speaking of one of those buyers, I will wait if I know when its coming, but if I dont I will buy elsewhere. They have alot of money to recoup on this I assume, for gods sake dont blow it before its begun Sure they arnt Honda but this is multi million pound turnover Company all the same, if they cant find time to promote a bike or update a web site what hope is there for the bike

    Beta 4-stroke

Been nearly two weeks now since the 4 stroke has been launched to the public, just looked at the Beta web site and it has been updated with new pics and specs, not of the 4 stroke though but the new Motard 50???? they sure do know how to promote one of the most exciting bikes to come out in recent years??? well done Beta, nothing quite like keeping your customers informed and up to date with products.
  8. Bikespace, I have heard your trial was just about spot on this year, wish it had nt clashed with the Hipwell or we would have come and made the numbers up , hopefully see you next year, its definately in Ralphs little black book as a definate.
  9. Pete, hat off to you mate, cant be an easy decision to make and carry out for such a prestigious trial as The Colmore, really hope it goes well for the club, sure it will and the entries swell. I would still expect it to be the hardest trial I have ever done but not impossible, I would be happy dropping 100plus as long as the sections are not totally above anything I am capable of doing or capable of wanting to have a go at. Thinking back to the great club trial you put on at Saintbury, the section that actually took the marks of Jack and Sam was not the one everyone thought it would be. The big Geoff Capes climb with the big root which had most of the rider
  10. Neon, noticed the carb thing as well, never struggled with the previous models but the 06 is an absolute tw*t to get back in. Only thing I have noticed with removing the spacer was a slightly quicker response from low down throttle openings but not a big change. Carb is a joy to clean now and because its so easy it gets done every ride, expect you have already installed the air box tract the other way around so its mouth is larger and easier to get onto the carb. Also found completely removing the carb jubilee clips helps with re-installing. The carb does not look like its reaching for the reed block either with the spacer out so it must have been a very tight fit to start with. I was a bit amazed when removing the spacer of the amount of sealent that was exposed into the intake, must have had some effect on the vapour into the crank by its obstruction. Bike this weekend was perfect all day, lots of power and grunt and clean running, rider did nt do it justice at all but theres always next weekend
  11. Eddie, I ve had loads of bikes, no problems at all untill this one, one day as many of us you will have a poor running one and you'll be posting on here about it. Luck of the draw mate, you will get a ***** one one day
  12. Mil, my bike was running way too rich in both pilot jet and main jet thats why I have changed them. I would suggest if your bike is running fine as it is dont bother. Mine was nt and I have stuck about 20 plugs in it since April due to it running bad and have nt popped a plug since. The plug colour is now correct even after very slow running and hours of flat out up hills sections. Putting smaller jets in especially the main can cause far too lean a mix and possibly seize the bike, so if you do change them keep a good eye on the plug and any signs of loss in power. Bike today was like a missile on hill climbs and again no need to clear the throttle
  13. Looks like the West Wilts club John, cant find much more info than below http://www.sunbeam-mcc.demon.co.uk/
  14. Well said, if the clubs want bigger entries dont base the sections on trying to get marks off the non Novogar riders if they ride, the sections are supposed to be for clubmen
  15. He'll have to Nigel or he will run out of time, whats your anwser to the sections then? Very good points from Baldilocks I thought, if they are riding out of class as they are they should be dropping zero, bit like a club expert riding the B route, or bit like a club expert riding the B route and the B route made harder to drop marks from him and the rest struggle
  16. I would count a clubman as a rider who does nt ride in the British Championships.
  17. Well done Pete, I will be riding next year, and hope I can stay under the 100 mark. I can see the other side of the debate now as well, if there is a second route the Novogar part may just become a 20 man entry with 100 clubman doing the easier route. Not really what its about as stated in other posts, I think some of the problem may be that if British Championship riders enter as non point scorers there may be a temptation for the course setters to make the trials harder to to take marks off the top lads. Need to do plenty of North Berks club trials next year before I tackle the Wallace but hope to be doing it in 08 and get around for an enjoyable day.
  18. Definately Pete, I can think of ten of us now who would enter a clubman routed Colmore and ten who wont be doing the Novogar route. Same goes for the Wallace, bit too nasty in places for the likes of me, Ralph etc but the old 2 route system was brillaint. We would get round ok but lots of marks and would nt really enjoy it. The trial you set at Saintbury a couple of weeks ago was just right for me, challenging and a little a*** twitchy in places but every section ridable (apart form the log, section 1, which I may chop up with me chainsaw next time I drive past) and enjoyable. Have a feeling though most of the Colmore sections will be tougher than the hard ones at Saintbury. A great deal of us want a good challenge but dont want to risk injury and end up not enjoying an event because its way to hard. There seems to be a growing gap between classes and routes these days, if you have to set a trial out to take marks off Thorpy, Baker etc etc its going to be way to hard for a club Expert rider or Clubman. If you need more entries and up the Club coffers stick a toughish clubman route in, I am positive the entries will be over subscribed very quickly. Pete, if allowed? is it not up to the club then? if so why not May be wrong but was nt the Colmores entry last year about 40 odd?
  19. Slapshot, although I have voted yes the web master will click a few buttons and the vote will come out no every time. This is anything goes Andy, go on, just a few pics, may even keep the 4 stroke Beta posts down for a couple of hours
  20. Ralph, you up for it then mate????

    Beta 4-stroke

Nigel, this bike may be the bike which will create more sales for riders like me that have to date had no interest in 4 strokes before. This is the first time I have ever shown any interest in buying a banger and if the motor is relaible and does all the right things I am sure I will be buying one next year if available and can afford one. This may also apply to many of the Mont riders who would prefer a lighter, less complicated 4 stroke,
  22. Hi Tom, not 100% sure but expect the 06 plastics will fit a 03. Best check with BVM or Lampkins though, link to BVM here where you can buy as well http://www.bvm-moto.co.uk/
