Exceedingly good, I have heard
-
Andy go for the renthal mate, never snapped one of those and they dont seem to stretch much either. See you a week today, remember what to shout if we dont recognise you
-
Sure from the 4 i have seen snap, 1000 have nt, but I would never buy one. Two things that used to really bother me road racing was a busted chain and no brakes, just isnt worth taking any chances so i always bought the best and strongest i could.
Trials, not too worried about the brakes as much but a bust chain could be painfull if the fall is bad. I stick to Renthal for piece of mind, cost more but have a big get off from a step or big hill and it could cost you hundreds in busted parts.
-
Seems to be a big problem with Iris chains snapping lately, hope no one gets hurt form one. I have seen 4 break in the past 2 months, 2 new and the others a few months old. Trouble with a chain snap is it is likely to happen at the top of a big step or climb, no warning and you instantly come back down

Pete, if Alexz and Ross dont come dont worry, me - The goat Ewers and Caber are sticking our entries in tomorrow for the RV, should be some obscure riding lines and techniques on show at least, as well as entries for the 07 Havoc DVD
-
Whats wrong with a solid wooden top Foz? the DRC one has a rubber top on the steel to protect the bash plate and reduce noise etc which the wood will also do
-
Great first year for Bradley, got some points under his belt and took the rookie of the year, think he will be going from strength to strength next year. Lives just up the road and did a radio interview this morning about his year. Good luck for 07 Brad, keep it up
-
That will be China again then Pete, they'll have a trials bike out next year for under a hundred quid
-
been doing WD40 for some time now and it works great, keeps the chain clean, mud does nt sem to stick too much and its much easier to wash off. Not noticed any premature wear on the chain and will keep using it untill something better comes along.
Hrc1, seen a load of Iris chains break lately mate, from used ones to brand new, keep a good eye on it
-
Fozza, good luck with the exam mate.
I have a DRC stand that I bought for my Enduro bike which sits under the bash plate and is adjustable in height. I still use it for the trials bike as it is quite light and can lift the bike up with the use a lever which allows both wheels to lift off the ground. When the arm is up (stand at its lowest point) the bike can be sat onto it for fueling etc so you dont need to heave the bike up to get it on the stand.
Used to have a front and rear stand for the R6 but not really needed for a trials bike, the race stands have to be that way as race bikes have no sump plate for a stand. The DRC stand also turns which makes life easy for washing the bike as you can just spin the bike around.
Still have my old wooden stand I made years ago which I occasionaly use in the workshop as it lifts the bike much higher

Could be the making of a great TC competition here !!!!! everyone guess who it is? and Andy pics the winnner if any after 4 weeks. Winner gets a free 1k spending voucher at the dealers shop out of his own pocket or 1k donated to TC
-
A piece of Neons tongue will also do the trick
-
Used to cringe when Sterling Moss used to be a guest on F1 and he would bang on how dangerous it was in his time and it isnt anymore. I actually think he is right now, the computers and traction control make the cars so safe to drive they can chuck in to a corner any virtually not worry. Also the tracks are very safe now and I think this has alot to do with the lack of overtaking these days. Years ago Senna/Mansell etc would take risks to overtake, maybe in a iffy place or corner. Does nt seem to be any iffy places anymore as the sport is too safe and the cars are much too good. Let them run on Mich X11's in the future, should make it more interesting
-
Pete, thats two nasty reading mistakes I ve made in a week, best go and have them checked out i think, **** may even help my riding meant to say not the most pleasant of reading rather than not the easiest of reading
-
Tone, got mine today mate, not the easiest of reading should have them tomorrow if no show today
-
I hope Rossi will go to F1, it should shake them all up abit, bring a rough and raw element to the sport again. Used to be a big F1 fan years ago, rather watch crown green bowling now, not watched a race live for ages.
-
Take it to wales and ring its neck for 30 minutes across the moors and it will come up nice and clean, bike will run great, will do the mid box and silencer at the same time and make the front pipe go a gold colour. Works for us lot every time, saves undoing any bolts as well
-
Sorry Eddie, just jealous I have nt got an 07 in the workshop take no notice
-
Maybe a long shot!!! but have you considered sticking a new set of plates in
-
-
Ralph very nearly cleaned it first lap, but slid on the hill after it, unlucky, good section to practice, dont come much more awkward than that
My 3 on the first lap was more for shear effort and amazment by spuds dad that it went over at all without crashing, big off on lap 2 infront of sam and Jack, just told Sam to watch me tackle it as well, took a safe 5 on the last lap
-
Eddie tacky looking? and you ve just bought a new 07 Rev3?
-
A nice 2 foot wide ramp would have helped me ralph
