    if you want the bike to break before the footpegs then it has to be titanium not the cheapest option but nigh on indistructable :-))

  4. it sounds like its springs to me if you have a way of measuring them against the manufacturers guidelines for servicable limits you can check but if not its best to just replace keep us all informed either way we will try and help
  5. one would assume you mean you replaced all the clutch components springs as well as steel plates & friction linings ????

  7. oh it makes my blood boil but as already said keep an eye on fleebay a while back now same thing happened to me and a few mates of mine 3 month down the line there it was on fleebay the lad that had it was stunned when we rolled up with the police in tow unfortunatly we only managed to trace the one bike back but it sure did make us all wake up now no expense is spared on security i do hope you get a result & do check here if you havent already http://www.almax-security-chains.co.uk/ if they can get past this chain your gonna need land mines

    Rear Brake

    yes remove wheel for pad change coolant is 9. Fill the cooling system to the top inside collar of the radiator with a 50/50 mixture of Ethylene Glycol and water.     315 Carb Settings

    from the 2002 manual Slow Jet And Air Screw The air screw meters air that is mixed with fuel metered by the slow jet. . Turning the air screw clockwis e, enriches the mixture: counterclockwise leans the mixture. Turn the air screw in until it lightly seats, then back it out to specified position. Air screw opening: 1 turn out After warming up the engine, connect the tachometer and slowly turn the air screw in or out until the engine revs up smoothly . Adjust the idle speed by turning the throttle stop screw. Install the jet needle into the throttl e valve. Install the thrott le valve spring and cable setting plate onto the carburetor top cover, then connect the throttle cable to the throttle valve whil e compressing the throttle va lve spring. Installation Install the carburetor in the reverse order of removal. Install the throttle valve while aligning ~ groove ~h the guide in the carbureto r body. Idle speed: 1.300 '" 100 min" (rpm)

  13. the only option for me was to drill the heads off and put what was left of the bolt still in the caliper into the vice much sweet & pain later bolt came out but i did notice it was covered in red permanent thread lock i went sandifords for the 315 replacement bolt spoke to the guys there they to have the same problems they have now gone back to normal bolts from 315 on all new 4rts & yes the cheese ones are thread locked in with permanent thread lock from manufacture ????

  15. sandifords would have had them for you but B&Q do longer rivets & the washers for them down the tool isle i found them in the B&Q in bury

    well i see its not just me with this problem then collin appleyards still have the bike with the programable throttle body but as of yet no word ?? just out of curiosity can any people with the 05 models confirm if this problem affects there bikes or is it an 06 fault ??

    well so much for fingers crossed the bike is back at colin appleyards for the second time in a week with the same exact fault it had from new plug fouling i am realy disapointed with the bike at present as i heard so many good things about the 4rt before i bought this bike i will leave it at that for the moment but will keep you all informed

    took the bike to colin appleyards today there was a faulty plug to blame for the miss fire & flames from the exhaust the carbon build up was put down to too much oil on the filter which was a pre oiled brand new filter from montesa they said is was restricting air flow ?? the bike is running fine at the moment but only time will tell fingers crossed & as allways feet up :-)

    got my new 4rt from collin appleyards thursday used it on backcown quarry on saturday now it wont start took the plug out pure carbon black as coal cleaned the plug washed the bike it started up but run like a pig miss firing flames coming out the exhaust now it wont start at all going to phone appleyards ASAP monday morning will keep you all informed :-((
