Looks nice and original too me , he state's he has owned it 10 years , starting problem could be just crank seals etc , you know all this Bondy . The gear's could be a problem , but it must be worth viewing , not that far from you... Mr Bultaco ....

Yeah it should have the thin bit of plate fitted , this stop's the leg from cracking . Very easy to make one , it's about 1mm thick with 2 x 6mm holes in it , and fit's in the bottom fork gap . Totalshell , your right about it not being on parts diagrams , maybe missed out , or was a late mod ....

Dan , bring along a camera to Poachers and take loads of photo's , ask people for info and idea's . Dan if i was you , i would get rid of the cub , and get a Mz like Al , test bike available to ride on sat- sun at Walcot's . Al will be taking order's ....See you soon Keith

Hi OTF , when i had a 340 bully , i tried 2 28mm mukuni's , an old one i got from a auto-jumble , then a new one i got cheap .The old one ended up with a 130 main and 25 pilot , but the new one ended up with a 130 main and a 35 pilot .Both ran very very well , loads better than a crap worn out Bing . I seem to remember, i may of fitted a 250cc inlet manifold and rubber , the 250 rubber was a better fit on the mukuni carb . Good luck

Hi Guys Bit of a update on the carb problem i was having , first time out today to try out . The bike is now running on a good used Amal 26mm carb , with a 130 main jet , 25 pilot , No 3 slide and a 106 needle , bike is now running a lot better and rev's right out ... Thanks for all the help

Managed to try another carb , with help from me friend Mr G , an old 26mm Mk 1 Amal , 120 main , 25 pilot , and it revved considerably better across the range , so i'm now thinking its the carb .I've cleaned it out ,blown with airline , played with needle height , tried different jets , run without air filter and tried different type of filters .Think ill park it up , and take me fanny to poachers instead .....

Thanks for that info Westyfield7 , yeah it as the one engraved ring above the top clip groove . It turns out i'm running too small a carb , its just under a 24mm bore , someone as removed the last number on the carb for some reason , so i'm now after a 26-27mm amal .....Thanks for all the info chaps
