Don't no the bloke but he lives in the same village as me, so if i can help just let me know.

Unless it was a massive climb out of the river, there must be something up with the bike or your technique,as the 125 is not short of power, Factory Kev did the northern experts on a 125.
Is there someone who can have a go on your bike and get there view or borrow another bike and try that section.

There is the South Liverpool Mcc and Wirral 100 nether run loads of trials any more, about 4 between them in 05 I think. South Liverpool run the national lomax trial on easter Monday cracking trial but not for begginer I guess.

The Cheshire centre will be having some training days through the summer with there newly quailfied ACU coaches, organised by the Macclesfield and Manchester 17 clubs. No confirmed dates until later in the year unfortunately.
-
A fellow trials rider and road trial fan sent me this link to a Derbyshire council survey on the counties paths and trails. Theres a section for off road vehicles and it even mentions trials bikes.
www.derbyshire.gov.uk
Survey can be filled out online only takes a minute or two well worth the time to let them no we use these trails as well..

I think the ACU are trying to sort some deal out on insurance at the moment, will see if I can find the info tonight.

The Man 17 trial at Whaley Bridge on boxing day is always good for a laugh very muddy and slippery lots of falling off, its a joint adult and youth trial. Will get you away from the in-laws as well.
Bring ya wellies.

You could try North Derbyshire youth there a bit more Buxton way but still not to far and manchester 17 run trials in that area as well.

Better get my entry in then , looking at the results from the peak I would not have been riding, was there no clubman route because it was a Novagar round?
-
Gaz
You will have to come to a proper trial 105 rider and we even had a few welshmen.
The road one in October was spot on, might have done the Peak if it had not clashed, still thinking I might try the Northern Experts on the clubman route obviously.
and yes it was Peter Kay
-
original
Did not make it to the Peak we had one off our club trials thought it would be a quite one with the clash of dates and being near by, but we had a 105 riders .The weather was pretty bad, it was that fine rain that soaks you through
-
Thanks lads, have passed all the info on, so hopefully we will stop him flying over the bars when his front brake grabs or bailing of when it fads on a big down hill.
-
Mate of mine has mono TY with the drum front brake, which never seems to work properly he has tried all the obvious, is there a mod that increase efficiency, other than fixing a disc brake?
-
Must have been riding in those days but normal Congleton, Crewe, Man17 and the club I am involved with now Macclesfield which in those days would be called Hyde DMC.
Man 17 are having a reunion some time this year of all old members, but perhaps a little to far to travel.
-
A up MadAlec

I am a club secretary for an ACU club, run the centre website and heard about this first on here, then read it in last weeks TMX.
Surely in this day and age they could email me about these meetings, leaving enough time to organise some one to attend.

Thinking about it I the Pro first came out in 01 but was the new 02 bike, if you see what I mean.
-
Yamaha-dude or is it gas gas dude.
Here a bit of blurb about the 03 Pros The new TXT Pro as you will have heard is a completely new bike. Everything from the ground up has been changed. The motor is a revolutionary design which Gas Gas have patented. It is still 6 speed with a new design of a 3 disk clutch. The main bearings are very cleverly run in oil from the gearbox. The bearing is sandwiched between 2 seals with a hole coming straight from the gearbox constantly lubricating the bearings.the gear selector shaft is located inside the selector drum with the gear lever positioned in front of the final drive sprocket. All new ignition. The frame has similar frame section to the 8occ rookie. The airbox and seat unit is one piece composite mold with the air intake coming from the front. (not from the top as last year) the element is accessed from the top and fits 4nto the box similar design to a motocross bike. The forks have been reworked and modified the bushes. New progressive system on the rear suspension. Complete new exhaust system with unique sound. New brake discs with new rear caliper that is mounted completely inside the swinging arm. New lightweight wheels with 32 spokes. New petrol tank which holds a little more than 2001. Notice the 330cc is now a 300cc.
The pro is a lot different than the TXT and yours looks like a Pro to me.Not 100% sure but I think the pro first came out in 02 but late in the year and could well have been called 03 (as the new 05 was out in early September this year).
The mud guard air box unit access is one way to tell the difference the por air box is on the top and the TXT on the side.
there were problems with gear box and air box with the early Pros but if the bikes been used these will have been sorted.
Here is a picture of an 03 pro
http://www.erjtrialsbikesgasgasuk.com/data/txtpro.htm
there all basically the same just other than capicity and suspension.
Hope this helps.
