  1. I was behind a car just a couple of hour ago. It had a sticker on the back window that said"GAS Sucks Ride A Bike". I figure he must be retarded, damn that burns my ass!

The 250 has the smoothest running motor I've ever felt. My 270 vibrates like a freighter.
  3. oil level Right 39 mm left 97 mm oil capacity Right 407 cc left 391 cc
  4. Rev3 forks are larger than the Evo forks.

  7. 2 stoke noise is weired, especially on a trials bike. Your next to the bike and it sounds fairly loud, but 10 ft away you hardly hear it. The 4RT is known to be the loudest of all the trials bikes. Once you get used to premix it's hardly a bother. I'm not a fan of the 4RT but plenty of people get along with them very well.
  8. No I didn't get to go to Tish. They sometimes put some very difficult stuff for Intermediate.
  9. Those concrete stairs were scary! They didn't give me a problem the first 2 times, but my approach was off the third time. I thought I was going to clean it that time too. The first turn at the entrance got me for a point the first 2 times. The turn after the stairs was damn tricky, it felt like I was going over the bars everytime.
  10. Checks in the mail, I left the amount blank so you can just fill it in.
  11. Yeah, I thinks Charles should go ahead and bypass the Intermediate class and ride Expert. That was my first time riding in Kansas and it was well worth the 18 hrs of driving.
  12. Unleaded fuel is designed to run through a catalytic converter and is probably more poisonous than leaded fuel exaust fumes. I've read articles on this subject, I'm no expert but they made sense. Oh, and they are on the Web so they must be true.

    And use better fuel.

No, your pistons not hitting the head. It is acting completely normal. Quit turning the gas off.
  15. I don't see the spec for the '06 but the '01 I just got run like crap with a #118 main. It came with a #126 main and a #33 pilot from the factory according to the sherco web specs. The '09 comes with a #120 main and a #33 pilot, the porting or reed block must be different. Anyway the largest jet I had was a #122 and it seems to work pretty well. The #33 pilot seems to be perfect. I started with the # theme so I didn't want to quit midstream.

Damn, that looks like a great place. I sure wanted to go, but you know how other things need to be done sometimes. I'm hoping for Kansas.
  17. No the VPred won't clog your jet anymore than any other fuel. It is leaded, so you need to clean your sparkplug every once in a while. My bike had sat idle for several years before I bought it. I should have had the carb ultrasonicly cleaned. The drilled pilot is still within adjustment range of the air screw. I use the 104 octane so I don't have to worry about mixing, it doesn't save all that much money to mix.
  18. Well, I used VP Red for a good while and it seemed to be a little better. They told me that the 110 is the same except the die is different and is $.50 a gallon cheaper. So I started using it and have adjusted to it. When I first got my 315R the pilot jet clogged almost every day. I drilled it out till it quit doing that, it has never clogged again. No need for me to convince you, your bike will do it for you.
  19. I use VP110 which is 104 octane. Sounds like your pilot jet is clogged. If you use lower octane fuel in it it will knock like its trying to break the door down.

You determine the right and left side from the perspective of the rider, not standing in front of it looking at it.

But anyway, there's no spring in the right fork. And the right fork is for rebound dampening only. Are you sure the right fork is the problem?
  22. neil king replied to carni026's topic in Montesa
kinda funny, if you go to the link for the left fork it has the same as my manual 3.8" or 97mm
  23. neil king replied to carni026's topic in Montesa
My manual says 3.8" and 1.5". To be honest the last time I changed mine I just poored in close to 400cc in each leg, I can't remember if I measured or not. Maybe thats why the left seal started leaking. Manual says 407cc right leg, 391cc left leg
  24. You should quit! Never to ride again.
  25. you need to leave out 2 plates. The CR has 7 the 315 only has 5 plates.
