  1. Aye NC, I believe it is one in the same! Hell of a rider on any bike I see!
  2. Jesse: Take the bike back to your dealer and get it fixed! If it's leaking oil only 3 weeks old, then it should be warranty...........No charge! GG have a solid record of warranteeing there bikes! Cheers, Steve
  3. Hey there PA and all you other Aussie's. My mate is coming over there first of Dec for about 6weeks and would like to hook up with someone to go riding! Melbourne area or there abouts! Can someone please PM me with some contacts to send along with him! cheers, Steve
  4. Hello Gents: From where I sit, as a father to an up and coming rider, I would absolutely love it if the proposal that Lane has put forward was put into place! That being said, I think that perhaps this discussion on here, plus maybe circulating some further info along to the major clubs so that they can inform their members as to the benfefits of it all may be in order! Lane, don't give up on this, please! I think that you may be onto something here. If this proposal is maybe looked at closer by a wider base of people accross North America, it might be more widely accepted and understood! There is no reason why this proposal or even a tweeked version of it, could not be re- proposed next year!! Let's keep up the discussion! Cheers, Steve
  5. Dman: Sorry if this post ends up being a duplicate of some sorts. I did try replying earlier and somehow my computer messed it up! The major reason why it is important for our young rider's to compete on 125's now comes down to one basic reason, technique!!!! Sure, sometimes it makes it easier to have that extra power, but, I watch what these guys are riding i the WTC on these 125's, and it is more difficult than most of us ride all the time!It is possible to ride diffucult sections on a 125. In order to learn the proper skills to compete at a high level, whether that be at the Nationals OR the WTC. My son has just turned 9. I have vowed that he will not ride a bike larger than a 125 until he is old enough by WTC standards! I hope that this helps you understand why some of us are understanding of a 125 rule! How old are you? Would a ruling like this affect you?? cheers, Steve
  6. Hey r2w: I dying in suspense here waiting for your report and pics of the test day. Can't wait to here your opinion on which bike you liked the best! Steve
  7. Thanks for the help mates! I must be getting really old, I can't read that writing it's so small. The pics from Heath's link look brilliant! Have to give Scorpa full marks for their ideas and promotion! Can't wait to see that thing! Steve
  8. I agree with you on that one Ishy! I also think that if Scorpa could get the price of the little 125 4T down a bit it would be a nice starter bike for getting people into it too. Perhaps in the future we could see some more displacement structured classes too!
  9. Does anyone know if the Scorpa 4RT is a 5-speed or a 6-speed? Just wondering! Would be nice if one of the new 4RT's was a 6-speed. Sure would set them apart! Cheers, Steve
  10. As to the quote that CT comments on..... Yes the Euro's do all of that, on 125's until they are old enough to compete on a full size bike. When I watch the WTC and the 125 Class, they don't seem to be to hindered by it. Could outride me on my 280. Like in the karate-kid movie.........Wax on, Wax off!
  11. Far be it for me to critisize anything the Natc does, especially as a Canuck most of us are just happy to have a proper National series to compete in! Personally I would have liked to see the 125cc class put in there. Just is a no brainer to me! I also agree with Craig for some sort of engine size structuring for rider's under the 125cc class. Ever wonder why the Europeans ride winding the hell out of the motor's? I remember watching Camozzi mess around on a 80cc at the Goldendale WTC. He's no lightweight(Al, you listening?) and he could ride that thing in more things than any Expert rider. Ron is right about a club coming together and agressively and efficiently puttting on a National. I live on an island, and put on a Canadian National in the late 80's for our club. We had between 1000-1500 spectators that day. No advertising budget, and before the internet! The whole club got involved and we did make money! Same scenario as Ron with all rider's getting t-shirts/hats/awards. Even all the observer's got T-shirts too. I know it is getting tougher to schedule these events every year.It is too bad that there are no events in the non-school year though! Tough for many to get the kids involved! cheers, Steve
  12. Nice shot of Eddy on the Merlin! I love the wheels on them and the Mecatechno! Love to see them make a comeback on todays machinery! Steve
  13. I agree, the Majesty should have the nice chrome frame!
  14. Just want to thank all involved for a great weekend and great event for the last two rounds of the PNTA Championship.Tough go for my lad being only 9 and riding the Junior lines, but all in all he rose to the occasion on the second day and rode much better and coped much better with the tough loop too! Thanks everyone ! cheers, Steve PS. Thanks to all our American friends for coming over! Hope you had fun!
  15. NC: Go to r2wtrials.com and click on Fantic logo. Pete Culliford is the name of the man you want to contact about twinshock Fantic parts. He has original factory parts. I got a new coil from him for my 240, he's a great help! Cheers, Steve
  16. Just remember Doug is still on the MOnt payroll.Any comments made at this time will reflect a positive outlook for the future. He is a professional doing his job! If in fact he does happen to sign with someone else for next year, I wouldn't expect him to have any negative comments either about the 4t!
  17. I think a post by BA Barracas would be prudent now
  18. One of the most under-rated bikes of that year! Easy to ride, easy to work on. works awesome! Cheers, Steve
  19. Well, said it before, say it again. I would have to believe that Doug could get enough private sponsors because of who he is that he could have his own team and ride whatever bike HE believe's he can win on! Of course the sentimental favorite would be a John-Boy Beta! Would be nice to see win that 8th title with the whole family connection! Show everyone once and for all he is the best that ever was! In the end, I just hope he makes the decision that will give him the best chance to win again! Cheers, Steve
  20. Al: I believe that "Boddingtons" is one of the "real" beers over there that doesn't start with the letters "B-U-D". Or as we call is up here in Canada, no-beer! But that hooch that can make me smarter sounds the ticket! Cheers, Steve
  21. My suggestion is to let us all know how it rates to the GG you have posted on your avatar?? I have my opinion, but just curious after having a GG what you think? Cheers, Steve
  22. I agree Ish! As good as the works Monts are working, I believe he'd be better off getting on THE bike that Doug would reckon is the best for him, money or not and go for the 8th title! Cheers, Steve
  23. Right then lads, it's Melbourne area for sure. Can get exact location soon! He'll be staying for approx a month. Dec-Jan. Would be great for him to meet up with a bunch of you while there! Cheers, Steve
