since when does a friggin beta have a MAP? Those things are soo quiet to begin with that it just does not get much better Is that Comifornia you live in? The coolant hoses are allways very close. Just get a new one, will last another decade or so.

When the ignition is too late there is a lot of unburnt or still burning fuel going directly into the exhaust taking the heat with it.

Yep, likely a stolen bike if someone did that to hide the Vin stamping which SHOULD be right under that plate.
